Sig P365s have had way too many issues for me to feel comfortable enough to carry one everyday. They just finished up with a law suite where a guy was carrying one concealed in a holster and was walking up some steps and it went off all on its own. Not to mention the trigger half pulled shake fire issues they are still dealing with and that's on top of all of the other issues they have had. I just bought a shield plus yesterday and I love it. Even though the P365 fits my hand like a glove. I just can't trust it. Maybe in another 5 years from now they will be reliable and I'll buy one...

Only thing I hate bout the metal sig trig is the slap back to my finger after each shot. Got my finger tip feeling like I burst a blood vessel n shit.

The price difference is Made in USA vs. Made in China. It’s a damn flashlight. With the Olight you also get a laser. You’re a damn fool if you think the Olight doesn’t before just as well, if not better.

The Romeo 7 deserves more praise than it gets. I'll stack it up against my Aimpoint PRO or my ACO. Very impressed with the fit finish and function. SIG is discontinuing it so they're super cheap right now. If you can find one buy it!

Analog, even turned off, will get specs and even lines burned if the sun is shining into the FOV of the lens for too long. You can hurt even turned off night vision. It's because of the fact that the sun is just fucking hot. It's the same effect that happens when you're burning ants with a looking glass. You can easily reach massive temperature at that point and literally burn the surface into the PC or front FO of the tubes. You don't want that happening. Sensors are literally the fame, NV Lenses are usually F1 or F1.2 (PVS14 is F1.2) and proper digital NV does too, the F-stop is a measurement of how much light enters the lens, the smaller it is, more light gets into it. F1 is almost the limit of lenses sensible for such use. It will burn a piece of your sensor. Don't treat it like it's your phone camera or something, with enough exposure it will get damaged (YTB VID: "how to MELT your cameras by shooting the eclipse" by Sean MacDonald). It's true that it will be a way smaller dot of sunlight on the sensor since the FOV is much higher than on telephoto lenses, but the damage will be the same. Cover your digital NVGs too.

You can always tell someone who trains strikers mostly vs those who spend a lot of time with hammers. When striker guys eventually modify their grips to ride safeties they realize how much leverage you can gain from a moderately high support hand instead, then putting a good amount of pressure on the safety.

Great review! Ive been looking at the Opsin and this unit. The only problem I have is that is doesnt record video. The Sensor size in the ADNV G14SE is an easy winner.

Awesome review! Glad to see you enjoyed the G14SE. They destroyed the sionyx opsin and are coming close to Gen2+ analog performance in many ways. Exciting things on the horizon for digital night vision and Good Nite Gear.

Hey gunplay when you get a chance, you definitely want to get your hands on the NVG 50. It’s absolutely definitely an upgrade despite it seems to perform the same as the NVG 30 but it’s literally an update on the NVG 30 to fix all the issues at the NVG 30 has. And I have been using it for a minute and honestly I’ve been quite impressed with it and I love it more than my NVG 30 and I’m actually might end up selling at some point and keeping the NVG 50. Idk GoodNiteGear will let buy the one he sent me for a review, hopefully he does. Unfortunately its a demo unit like the ADNV you have for reviews only. But i liked it so much i want to keep it lol. I think i might ask him to buy the reviewers unit lol 😂. NVG50’s gyroscope compass is great! But you have to calibrate right after you turn it on or else it will go wack if you dont. But after calibration it stay accurate no matter how much shaking, waking etc. Build quality is so much better, and the clarity is much better! I suggest the buy! The IR light is a million times better and way more energy efficient. The overall device is energy efficient. The electronics were upgraded

Big point I want to add since his review unit is from GNG and it would be rude for him to do so, but ADNV also sells these units directly via Alibaba, at a significant discount. Regular pricing for the G14SE/G14P2 is $1200/$2200 from them. At that price, given they effectively provide Gen2+ and Gen 3 performance, it's kinda a steal if you're living outside the US with access to surplus Gen3 tubes.

I have been carrying the Sig X Macro for months, and I liked it, but the comp made it slightly too long to be comfortable for me personally. I replaced it with a Shadow Systems CR920X as my EDC, but I still love my XMacro..It became my night time carry around the property since adding a TLR7sub. I was thinking about trying it out at my first Shooting Comp. I also have a Holosun 507 on it. Should be enough to get me by I hope.

In states that limit magazine capacity to 10 rounds or less, the original Shield with 8 round magazine is a great value. The Sig 365, Springfield XD and Hellcat are also great with larger mag capacity, but that is not a factor in the growing number of states that limit magazine size. Cost is also a factor - used good condition Shields can be found for less than $400. Keep in mind that if you ever have to use your gun in self defense, you are likely not getting it back. In California a new law was passed that requires all guns held buy law enforcement must be destroyed after 180 days. So, do not use a collectible or high end target gun for self defense, unless budget is not a consideration. Per the FBI stats, most firearm self defense occurs at average or 7 yards (or less) so a Shield, or SW 642 revolver is a good choice - moderate price, ok accuracy out to 10 yards. Save your $3,000 high end target gun for matches.
