- This is a little overview of some of the work I've been doing on oil submersion and heat reclamation. It's still a work in progress, and I'm still working on new designs and such, but it has come a long ways since I started with just basic tanks.
Great work ! My dreams and visions in action ! Stoked to see this - this is the future !
Thanks! I'll be using some of this heat for heating my home this winter.

Dude this is so cool. I’ve got an in ground and I want to do the same. Can’t wait to swim all winter in Grand Rapids MI.
Do it! You'll love it!
Awesome setup
this is great.... wanted to do this with my 2 miners to heat my pool. Too late in the season to start and 220V panel too far from the pool for now. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent! I'm about to finish my first setup with a single S19. Exciting to see what I can do in the future.
Be careful, it's addicting. :) 9 months ago, I had a single S9.
Do you have a write up on your single unit

Dude just WOW 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's very cool. You may want to cover the pool so you do not have as much evaporative water loss. I imagine it would be quite high with the elevated water temperature. Nice Project!
For some reason i was thinking fish tanks wouldn’t hold up. Thanks for showing us its not the case!
Nice.. no energy wasted
Any issues with aquarium seams leaking? I noticed one of your videos had a small tank with high temp silicone added, just wondering if you reinforced the 40 gal tanks at all? Really great work, looking forward to the 6 miner box you're making
103F (39Celcius) lol that is a spa! plus your pool is very large too! very impressive!
Dude. Awesome.
This is so cool. I always wanted to do this but to heat a greenhouse. I wish i had the funds to get some miners going.

really Amazing! I want Learn ALL Sir!!!!!
great job Man! that is what I love about bitcoin, is it inspires people to find ingenuitive ways too utilize miners for dual purposes and not waste the tremendous amounts of heat. I use 2 s19 to heat my house just using the heat from miners in basement. keeps it nice and warm in house during winter with no drafts. I plan on replacing the furnace and setting up a heat exchanger with oil di-electric liquid medium. voila. controlled temperature.

Crazy, dude.
I noticed a few stillhave fans on. Did you notice any difference with leaving them on versus removing all them? For the ones i saw u removed, did u remove the fans for power supply too?
Looks awesome, but watch out for the PVC: it is embrittled by sunlight. That's why most cities require metal piping for sprinkler systems above ground.
Interesting to know. It will all be redone anyway once winter comes. When (and if) I ever settle on a final solution, I'll make it outdoor protected.
Crazy setup mate! I'm sure a heat pump would be more energy efficient, but they don't make you money ;)
Well done on the setup! I will be assembling an immersion tank this weekend for a set of 5 asics (DragonMint T1s). The design will be very similar to yours. It will be radiator cooled using Bitcool from Engineered Fluids and plumbed with CPVC. We wanted an acrylic aquarium but they were on backorder locally so we went with glass - I'm slightly concerned about the integrity of the tempered bottom holding up against the weight of the miners. Your tanks look to be glass as well but I couldn't quite tell...yes/no? Did you have similar concerns? Also if you used glass did you double up on the silicone around the corners?

*WOW!*
Nice work! I'm curious about what heat exchangers and pumps you are using in your tanks.

This is awesome, what is maintenance like?
What approx temperature are you running the oil in the tanks at ? I am about to do my first S9 but with plans to scale that upto 4 or so fairly quickly. I was planning on using the style of 60 plate FPHE that you are and then taking the excess heat and using that to preheat the hot water for the house - i was hoping to keep the oil at around 50c in the tanks - do you have any numbers on different efficiences at higher temps (i.e. have you found an optimum temp to keep the oil at in the tanks ?)
@@Quickcat21MK What ? Our power is free (Solar) here in Australia for 9 months of the year and i can get an S9 for $750 - which will produce approx $5 USD per day and draw 1200w when running on BraiinsOS
Hi, how are your plate heat exchangers working for your set up so far? I am stuck between those or a radiator
What size electrical service are you using to power all of those machines?
Hey is it possible to know what fluid you are using to cool the asics ?
Bro my dad told me of this idea youre a genius for implementing it on large scale should of used copper though
Great Work!! Where did you buy the dielectric liquid those large radiators?
And, what would you have done if you didn't have the swimming pool to use the heat?
Ours is to supply heat to the office, home or community.

The stainless steel heat exchanger you listed in your forum post says under the questions part that it is not suitable for chorine pools and recommended a titanium pool heat exchanger instead. How have you found yours holding up, any corrosion. Or do you have a salt water pool?
What pump do you use to recirculate the oil?
Thank you for your video, it's an awesome setup. I am really interested in doing my own immersion cooling with my goldshell units but I am new to all of this. Do you have any places you can recommend I get all of th is info to do my own DIY setup because all of the places that sell/do immersion cooling equipment aren't taking orders or new customers right now. Or are you able to do a schematic, step by step or anything like that to help people like me? I know for a fact people would pay $100+ for an easy to follow ebook on this.

what pumps are you using in the bitcool? i got some circulation pumps but the gaskets are not compatible with bitcool... thank for the great vid!
Have you found an answer, I'm facing the same problem
Would love to know what pumps your using for the Bitcool.
Awesome set up! Why do you run some of the miners horizontally instead of vertically? I am guessing it’s due to the fans….
I'm working on different tank designs, and testing out different flows and positions. The horizontal one is fanless, while the upright ones still have fans on them. The upper right tank is slapped together to test an S19, which is why it is sideways.
What size tanks are you running there? And did you do anything to reinforce the bottom of the tank or were you just really careful putting those miners in? Lastly what about galvanized steel stock tanks?
they are aquariums, 40 gallon breeder is the size. Nothing done for extra support, they can already support 40 gallons of water, so it's good to go. Steel should work.
@@coinheated5365 Thanks for the reply, I was guessing 40 breeders. I haven't seen anyone mentioning using galvanized steel rather than stainless so I figured I'd go with the tanks, sadly I don't have a pool for a heatsink so I'm still sorting out how to cool the oil effectively.
Did you run into any challenges cooling the oil when you first set up your immersion tanks? What are you using to exchange heat from the oil to water?
Hi, we are manufacturing and selling immersion liquid cooling box. Here's a video for your reference ruclips.net/video/PByu8PVD6S0/видео.html
a heat excnager used to exchange heat between water and oil
Great stuff. Loving your setup. Can you let me know what pumps you’re using for the hot and cool side. Size and type if you don’t mind.

Hi, I have a question for you. Do you immerse the psu in oil as well? Ive seen it done both ways . What are your thoughts?
Get high quality immersion fluid. research it. Do NOT immerse your PSUs. They take up too much space for how little heat they put out. Keep in mind that the fluid is one of the most expensive line items in your immersion operation, and any empty or unused spaces in the tank should be avoided. Basically, immersing PSUs is not economical.
@@steveholliday6466 thank you very much.
Don’t you have to remove the fans for the inmersión miners ?
you could say what liquid you are using for immersion please
What temperatures are you achieving with the immersion cooling?
Ours temp is below 45 degrees.

Such an awesome demo! Your tanks look like fish tanks? I've been considering that but was worried that the coolant would dissolve the seals over time. Metal boxes seems like a better long term design but require fabrication. However, a metal box would be a more secure way to house all the miners in a hardened outdoor environment.
Greatly appreciate any recommendations or observations based on your testing thus far.
The seals are done with Silicone Sealant, which is on the specific recommended list on material compatibility, so there is no chance of it breaking down over time. There are things in the works for an outdoor rated setup, and @sgbarbour (on twitter) is making an air cooled version of that now. I'd like to eventually make something for outdoor use, but it's low on my priority list now.
@@coinheated5365 thanks for the response! I re-read the materials compat sheet. Totally missed silicone sealant.
Plastic storage tub bins are cheep and work great
You pretty much want to shoot for a seamless medium if possible. That's the ideal

Which oil do you use and where can I find it ? thank you
Fantastic job and a sign that a smart man can do it!
The Manufacturer Antminer guarantees the S19j for 1 year, and says that their equipment has a life span of 2.0 to 4.0 years. On the other hand I have seen some youtubers say that the life span is 1.5 to 2.0 years. What is your experience regarding the lifetime? Have you been able to check if the life of the miner increases or decreases with this cooling method? thanks for sharing your experience, greetings from Chile.
i have several that have been running for 5 years almost
Hey bud, can you help me out. I need fan spoofers for my whatsminer m20s. I have some but its the kind that is attached to a ribbon cable and when they get submerged in the coolant it causes errors. I have an L3+ with fan spoofers that are just chips.
I believe this whatsminer m20s is 6 pin.
are your miners actually submurged in water? how do they operate? im so confused!
Most certainly not water. They would short out in a millisecond. It is a dielectric oil. It means it does not conduct electricity. It transfers the heat then from oil to the pool water.
It’s mentioned in the first moments , it’s a special oil .
BitCool
Yes, completely.

$0.3 per kwh in california. (((((
