Hi, I was under the impression that you shouldn't put screws in the dip of the corrugated sheets but the high points because the rain will sit in the channels and start seeping through the screw holes, but if screwed through the high peaks it has no chance to have water sitting around the screws because of gravity, I don't think you had long enough screws for that anyway, but hopefully yours works fine as it is. I'm in the planning stages of building a shed from scratch and was just surfing for ideas and corner cutting tips etc :-) good videos I find projects slightly stressful but the achievement afterwards is rewarding..
as long as u use the screws with rubber washers it should be fine and yes the high points are best but you need to buy the special ridge fillers so u dont squash the ridges when screwing it down and they are $$$$
Been following you , for about a year, saw the solar install in the background of this video, which you uploaded too. Will be trying out your wind power, and vertical planter videos as l have just had built on offgrid eco house in Poland 35m2 . Will be living there in March, and will see how we get on, want to try hydroponics too . Very inspirational videos .
Your shed looks great! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I built an 8x10 shed for my kids in my backyard earlier this year using plans I got from *WoodBlueprints. Com* Clear directions and an accurate materials list...It was great for a novice builder like myself!
If You Want To Build A Reliable Shed, You Need Knowledge of Foundations, Piling, Planning and More ... So I'm giving you a comprehensive "how-to" guide on the basics of woodworking. Go here ==> *WoodBlueprints. Com*
@@FieldtoFarm_UK If your rafter spacing is 40cm then there is no chance of a bow. If it's more, then even those thin battens won't be strong enough to withstand whatever weight you think the snow has over a few years. In the end, it's better to have 1mm+ corrugated sheets and just rafters at 40cm centres.
Thank you Ryan for releasing a great product as this [ Check Details Here?> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ]. Most of the plans I have imagined in my mind are put down on your woodworking plans. This is more like a genius job. I love it!?

That's right should always put screws at the top roll
Your spot on,there fixed wrong,I've made around 60 of these and never screw them in the dip
The roof is sloped, rain water runs downover regardless top or bottom fixed...........
They also make polycarbonate-safe silicone (other Silicones won’t work) that you can fill the holes with before screwing it in.
Ahh, the good old days, when materials were affordable.................;)
Screws go in top of corrugations also duct tape will last year at best

Is it ok to install the screws between those "bumps"? Mostly they install the screws on top of the roofing material "bumps".
You screwed them on totally wrong, the screws are ment to go in the top of the Arch
Lol not sure you need that many 4x2's either
What tool did you use to cut the corrugated. Thanks
Sorry, just watched this. I've bought the same size purloin as you used, can I ask what length screw fixing you used? Thanks
I think they were 35mm self tapping roof screws
@@FieldtoFarm_UK OK, thanks for prompt reply
Looks great - enjoying your videos!

when i built our shed i used a plan from *WoodBlueprints. Com* and it had all the blueprints, supplies, materials, and list well laid out for me.
There's really no need to add purlins/cross-battens to the rafters, just screw the corrugated sheets directly to the rafters.
Ye but then any snow would bend the sheets inwards and probably break something. So I always use purlins on a sheet roof

Now all I need is a hot babydoll living above me with a glass floor
Do u over lap them
Yes by atleast one ridge 👍

What were your centers for the beams and purlins? Looks like about 18 inches. Did you think you got it right or recommend closer? Thanks for filming
NOT a builder here but I have been researching this for a few days now, I believe it depends on where you live and how much snow you get.
Wrong screws! There’s buffers you can buy to screw on tops of ridges! And tape on the holes? Really?? 🙈
Should have used clear tape lol 😆
