Lol my bestie is a coffee advocate just like Azucena & convinced me to try it, ended up liking it, & when the Azucena trailer came out I straight away sent it to her saying "Look, I've finally found you the perfect Tekken character, she's a coffee advocate just like you!" She's also a casual Tekken fan having played Tekken 4 growing up back in the day so the stars aligned to say the least! When I sent it to her she said "Coffee queen and cute little alpacas I’m in" 😂😂😂

@@agrippa2012it's weird that they only mistranslate the VO lines. The VA's sound top notch and it's not like the rest of the game is mistranslated.

Azucena is straight up bonkers. She's going to be a real problem for newbs and a constant knowledge check for even the toughest veterans.
Yeah she is really hard to deal with for me personally. She's really cool though. I hope Kunimitsu makes it in she's going to be pretty insane especially with her moveset.
Fr bro she's gonna be a pain fighting against she already has enough tools at her disposal that u need to lookout for and adapt to her style of play.

Not specifically this video, but it's a comment I've been wanting to make for a while now.
Props to max for being confident enough to post matches of him getting his ass absolutely handed to him because he still lacks character- / matchup-knowledge. It shows that the fighting game community are not all sore losers and that losing is part of Improving!

Age and experience
Not everyone is DSP or LTG. Max clearly loves fighting game and he has no delusion of his skill level. He knows that losing is part of the game, just keep on learning and grinding.

I'm sure he's figured it out by now but characters have different fall speeds. Most females fall more slowly, which is why he were dropping those combos. You even have those that are so heavy they drop really fast, also leading to dropped juggles.

I really have to give it to Tekken 8, fights are fun even for spectating. Animations are so slick!

The beta has been a blast, Asuka has energed as my new main (Her T7 outfit looks so much better with the graohics upgrade). I just wish they added more ranks to separate skill levels as the skill spread is insane in these lower ranks. Strong players are stuck at warrior stomping people who can't derank. It's like SF6 where I somehow placed in Diamond with Luke and I can barely take a game of diamond ranks with Lily who I main. SF 6 definitely handles it's ranking system better as things stand keeping casual players away from the killers aside from the placement goofiness.

It also doesn't help that people use casual mode for practice as no practice mode exists in this beta so it's hard to find a casual match meaning you have to play ranked to find a game
Just a beta thing.
The full game has far more ranks than any of those games. Atleast 30 will be in the main game. It's just a trial for beta. After yellow you will also start losing points. Though i kinda wish you loss points at the start.
The ranking was a problem in both the network test and this beta but its to be expected. I just found it hard to learn Azucena because I'm more new to tekken than other fighters and I was fighting dudes who had been playing their characters for years

I like the sound when you're hitting Jack, it's like smacking an empty beer keg lol
In the first beta the HP bars melted really fast the matches ended super quick. Now I see people really working to make every move count in the match.
I love it full matches feel so packed with crazy moments the pace is great
Then there's people like Hwoarang who goes into Heat and start chipping all over the HP bar.

I’ll be blunt, as a native Spanish speaker, I’m kinda triggered by how Azucena’s subtitles don’t exactly match up with what she’s saying.

I think he means the Design. Seeing a wing chun character (or whatever the martial art is called) is pretty new and interesting, compared to everything else
I dont get why people like Azucena. She seems super boring as a character and her fighting style is some gimmicky nonsense. She doesnt fit into Tekken in my opinion

I am one of these new players, who faced against Azu 90% of the time.
As a new player to Tekken in general, and using Claudio it was truly rough.
I just need to learn more, play more, practice.
Azucena looks super fun I just hope there’s another beta before release and Alisa will be in it 🤞🤞

Enjoyed the hworang fight the most. The terminology is "downloaded" I am certain..I can see the player seem to ease up and switch his strategy once he anticipated the match would be easy
This game looks pretty good. I don’t get into fighting games though because with all the highly priced dlc and character packs I tend to wait for a bundle or sale and by then people online have been playing since launch and I can’t play on their level lol
There was a Tekken game for the GBA before Tekken 6. I cant remember what the name of it was. It was based off of T5 though.

I tried using Azucena but my goodness she has soo many gimmicks from shuffling and all the other stuffs that it’s hard to keep track. Plus, I really thought she just counter attack the opponents from what I seen from the trailer but it’s just hard to pull it off due to the explanation being too vague and doesn’t help much. At least, base on what I have practice when using her.
Fighting jack is soooo hard. Deceptively fast, powerful and overwhelming. He’s a demon!

I was getting dragged in the beta since I haven’t played Tekken in so long but it’s probably one of the best fighters .. I like sf6 a lot and I enjoy mk1 but Tekken was so damn fun .. day 1 purchase

Why are fighting games so same-ey and bland now? Clunky animations, bloated graphics, boring rosters, uninspired themes and art styles.... Either fighting games got worse or my depression has leveled up.
It’s probably your depression, because SF6 and Tekken 8 are the best they’ve ever looked and they both are very different from eachother and their predecessors

@@Squidward-jv7go All three are prime examples of what I'm talking about. SF6 isn't all that different from SF4/SFV, MK1 isn't all that different from MK9/MK11, and Tekken has been Tekken since forever. I think I'm just completely burnt out on the genre.

The characters are different, the mechanics are different and these games are launching with more content than ever before. MK excluded cus if actually has less than what mk11 had at launch but SF6 had so much content at launch it was nuts. They finally had good single player content and everything. Tekken 8 has some new single player stuff they are doing and a new heat mechanic that’s pretty extensive and MK1 is the first MK ever that is based around the fighters having assists when that franchise has always just been pure 1v1. Like bro this year is being widely regarded as one of the greatest years for fighting games cus I didn’t even mention stuff that’s going on with guilty gear strive, KOF 15, DNF DUEL plus we got the free to play project L on the horizon
@@jeremyroberts8822 Man, I think modern fighting game fans are kinda worse than CoD players when it comes to reflexively buying whatever releases. I've been playing BBCF, SFA3, and Tekken 7 just fine. It's a quality control issue.
@@The_Cadaver in what way do you mean? I think it’s more so people just like to see new installments of their favorite franchise cus with some of them they don’t get them that often. Like SF for example release 1 new game every 7 or 8 years cus they get supported with new characters and stuff for so long. But there’s nothing wrong with continuing to play the older games you still enjoy like you are either. Tekken 8 for example I know a lot of people are excited for that because of the online. It has rollback net code and was developed with it from the start whereas 7 wasn’t. So there’s a multitude of reasons I’d say
I don’t know who translated the Spanish for the subtitles but that’s not 1 for 1 lol
my favorite part of 8 so far is that they toned down the huge cartooney blast effects on every hit. The dust particles look so much cleaner and dont conflict with the visual queues, and the big lingering hits still have the blast effects for style where it wont distract. Its the best of both worlds.
…are we looking at the same game here… bc the hit effects, power drive effects, rage animations, blocked hit effects, counter hit effects, and everything else on this game are INSANELY huge and definitely have to be the most distracting/most beautiful they’ve been in the entire series…
But I guess that’s the point. Every new-gen fighter has gone insane on hit effects and flare, from SF, to MK, to Tekken, just to show what their new engines can do. And Jesus Christ they sure did go hard with no brakes included
