I think you did a GREAT job of throwing that meal together. You had a good variety of food and no one would know that you hadn’t planned it beforehand.
I’ve been an emotional eater for years. It’s so hard, especially this past year to not want to eat your weight in food. But girlfriend, your willpower and organizational skills at such a young age is something to be super proud of. Don’t beat yourself up if you eat something bad because of stress. It’s totally normal. If there’s any advice I can give as an emotional eater, try not to make it an every day habit. Hang in there momma, you got this ❤️
I have definitely dealt with the emotional eating. And I always reach for sweets. When I was a kid, my outlet used to be taking a long walk outside but as a mom you can't just get out of the house anymore. You definitely have to learn to exercise your mental strength as you get older. And give yourself lots of grace. This was a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing with us!
I think everyone is an emotional eater to some extent. We crave the dopamine hit that boosts our mood. I did a sugar fast through revelation wellness this year and it completely changed my perspective on eating. I highly recommend googling them and doing it! So many times in the Bible our relationship with God is described as something to crave. His word is sweeter than honey. It’s pretty amazing how our cravings are designed to remind us that we need Him in these moments of overwhelm. The craving is designed to draw us closer to Him. 💜 to you!
Your not alone hun I used to be emotional and not eat, but lately with the whole Coronavirus messing up the world I am now an emotional eater. Your an inspiration you have no idea what a huge difference you do you help so much people by making video's that touch our heart that is a hard thing to admit to never lose faith when your doing an excellent job. Thank you so much for putting yourself out there I know it isn't easy so be happy your helping a lot of people including yourself.
Yes! I can totally relate. I can be doing good and then all of a sudden life just gets to much and I want to and do fall off track. Give yourself grace and if you need one day to eat ice cream then do it and then the next day you are right back at it for you! ❤❤
Love how real you are❣️ there is such an ebb and flow with eating during different seasons of our life and that’s ok to be out of balance every once in a while and not have things be “perfect” that’s just real!!
As a 60 something grandma I have the same problem. So being hard on yourself won’t help, know that you are not alone and allow yourself to be human and know tomorrow will be better! It’s taken me a very long time to get to that point! I have a very hard time getting motivated to get up and move since I don’t have little ones all the time. You are a very talented mom and I’ve so appreciated your dinner prep freezer meals!! Stay strong, and know that you are very much appreciated!!❤️❤️
girl, i’m a huge emotional eater. when i’m happy, i eat. when i’m sad, i eat. when i’m frustrated, i eat! you’re not alone. it sucks. most of my friends don’t even think about eating and i’m over here like 🤤🤤
I literally cried off and on yesterday because I am so overwhelmed. I am a teacher's aide and between that, my son with disabilities, trying to buy a home, problems with my courtyard, and everything else... I had a mental breakdown... Afterwards I ordered pizza an Italian beef, and sides and binged . 😒
Don’t beat yourself up about the stress eating!! We are all human! I am a mom of 4 and I’m 38 and I have learned that it’s really hard to get my baby weight off while nursing! So I’m pushing through a few more months with this extra 20lbs. For my baby girl!!! Thanks for the green info too, will be getting me some!! #momlife
Watching at 10 mins to 1am, while I eat a sandwich and chips with salsa. I too am an emotional eater but all day today I've been eating so much not sure why exactly.
Me! I emotionally eat too. I have four little kids and also work full time so I totally understand girl! You are definitely not alone. Also, side note, your skin is flawless, so beautiful!
I have never used bbq sauce on meatloaf we always do salsa. 1/2 jar in the meatloaf and 1/2 on top about 10 minutes before it’s done. BBQ sounds yummy too
I’ve been there being a teacher and having 3 young children. It’s so hard but you’re an amazing mom and I’m sure amazing teacher too. Try and take care of yourself. If you go down, the whole ship sinks!🌟
In the same mamá boat with health journey .... what I did this week craving something bad I prepped healthy treats in the fridge so I wouldn’t grab anything bad for me. I made protein balls and healthy muffins and had tons of fruit cut up so I would not have to do anything lol just grab and stuff my face. It helped a lot just putting in the 30 min to have a few sweet healthy snacks on hand ☺️ hope this helps mama!
You are not alone. I do the same thing. I will eat junk or over eat trying to make myself feel better. Just to feel like crap afterwards and beat myself up for being so weak. It's something I'm trying to overcome as well.
I do a lot more unhealthy snacking because I’m home all day and homeschool. Definitely some emotional eating going on here… Abby, I was really impressed with the meal you made when you had to punt and come up with a shelf meal on the fly. And I’m sure you were probably exhausted but you just got in there and got it done.
I definitely struggle with emotional eating as well. Mommin ain't easy! You are doing amazing. Sometimes I carry small bite size candies....last month I had the mini Cadbury eggs in my fridge and I just pop one when I'm in need hahaha that way it's not too much but it does help me catch my breathe. I just want to say don't be too hard on yourself. You are rocking it momma!
I am doing better at recognizing that I want to eat because I’m sad or anxious, etc. I try to redirect and pray about the stressful situation...and I make myself a cup of tea or coffee...that is a better choice for me. Take care🦋💗
Emotional eater here too!! 😕 Also, if you ever have flax meal on hand you can make a “flex egg”. I had to use that for our pancakes today because I was also out of eggs. 1TB flax to 3TB water. Let sit for 15mins and you have an egg substitute ☺️
Have you ever tried Keto? It’s worked for me for two years and I’m 41. I never feel deprived or super hungry like I have on other meal plans. I felt the exact same way you described two years ago. I was shopping with my sister in law and couldn’t fit into any of the clothes I wanted to try on. I felt bloated and down... I cried in the dressing room. She told me about Keto.... by the way Sisssttttaaaahhh looked amazing. I started Keto and lost 8 pounds the first week. It is a sustainable diet especially now because there are so many more Keto friendly foods to curb your cravings.
I think you are doing great!! Who doesn’t emotionally eat?? I try to instead of having 6 cookies, maybe 2 and really enjoy them! Or a small portion of ice cream, and again, enjoy it. Let’s lower the volume on guilt and find some ways to reward ourselves for a job well done, every day. Healthy and self serving ways because we are making it happen for our families, right? And we chose this, let us do it with grace. I’m working on it daily!
Oh yes! There are many of us.. who eat emotionally. Its just our mind deceiving us sneakily to go back to eating more food 😅 I find it hard to bounce back to healthy eating once I start eating emotionally. So we have to somehow resist the devious mind!!!
Give yourself some grace mama! You’re doing great AND you look fantastic. Having babies takes everything out of us and sometimes we gotta put alittle extra nutrients in to keep up... Be as kind to yourself as you would be to another mama 💛
I definitely stress /emotionally eat. When work is stressful I tend to mindlessly eat while working at the same time. I definitely try not too. You are not alone in this.
I can totally relate!!!! I eat a lot more and make poor decisions when I am stressed. Don't be too hard on yourself! You are doing great!!! Ps...thank you for the inspiration and for keeping it real!!! #momlife ❤
Try that macaroni with some sour cream and Mayo! Makes it so creamy! I usually put it in a casserole dish topped with ritz. So easy and everyone loves it.
Thank you for the daily motivation 💕 I’m 39 weeks pregnant and struggling. You look amazing by the way! I hope I look like you after I birth my second baby. Thanks for keeping it real about having a bad day and about running out groceries 😂
Girl, same! Super emotional eater too🙋🏻♀️ I’m resisting the urge to eat the chocolate chips in my pantry while my son naps! He is home sick from daycare with fever and I’m not used to sitting at home around the temptations in my pantry during the day lol And I too have reheated my coffee today! 3 times as a matter of fact 😂
Girl u look great. I’m 50 pounds overweight from emotional eating. You sure don’t gain weight very easily. But I do understand what your talking about. I just think your an amazing mom and wife. I love your videos.
Yesterday was a six Oreo day for me we’ve all been there everybody has bad days and good days especially us moms we’re all with you we can only try to do better tomorrow 😇
I watch your IG stories and watch your videos. I noticed you’ve had a down tone lately, like you’re always so hard on yourself. But, you’re doing a great job. Stop being so hard on yourself!! It’s wonderful that you’re working out, waking early, taking care of 3 kids, and working on top of it all. Stay positive! ❤️
Abby YOUR’RE doing great! Don’t b so hard on urself - stress makes u emotional an sometimes eating is what we do🤷🏽♀️I know I do it at times. And the temptation is crazy- I try to drink water if it’s near but if not I get them darn chips🤭🤭! But I always feel like with the weight it took time to put it on it will take time to get it off, and it seems baby weight can b the hardest😊! Don’t b so hard on yourself- WE moms are our own worst enemies at times😊Just continue Loving in you n your Family❤️
Yes, I do so good in the mornings for the most part but if something happens I find myself reaching for carbs usually in the form of sweets. I also struggle with snacking once the kids are in bed. It's like a sensor goes off letting me know I don't have to share :P
I’m definitely an emotional and binge eater. If I’m bored, sad etc I will eat. I always beat myself up over it I hate it. I need to find better coping mechanisms.
Let’s be accountability partners and do the new Off the wall program together! I need someone who also works full time with 3 kids to be partners with because no one else relates to my crazy life 😂
I’m not an emotional eater but a self recovered boredom eater. I’m on my health journey to losing weight (half way to my 45 lb goal). It’s hard to break old habits but it is possible! You can do this! Small suggestion watch your dairy intake and try switching out your sugar for monk fruit sweetener. I was the queen of coffee creamer 3 months ago…I’ve since been able to use 3 tbs of half and half, 1 tsp of monk fruit sweetener, and a splash of vanilla. Where as before I was using a 1/4 of a cup of creamer with each mug 😬 Your bloating and blah could be from dairy. Best of luck to you!
I never emotionally eat .... But one thing that helped me lose wieght is having trail mix peanuts or dry fruits even sunflower seed in my car and eat while I drive it's very healthy ... For some reason my weakness was ALWAYS needing something to eat while driving... it use to be coffee or other junk
That's your main problem, don't be labeling foods good or bad. Eat balanced. I lost 50 lb last year by not dieting. By that, I mean I listened to my body And if I was craving something, I didn't tell myself it was bad and I couldn't have it. The more you tell yourself you can't have something, the more you are going to crave it. When all foods are allowed, they lose their appeal and you don't want them as much
I gained 20 pounds this past year with the pandemic stress and working from home (lack of exercise). I'm back to working in the hospital which gets my butt in gear! Woo Hoo! The stress is still there but I am struggling to deal with it. Time to make a Psychologist/Psychiatrist appointment. I have three kids, one with special needs and another going through life issues (they have come out to us as non-binary and it has been very hard :( ).
oh try making you some thick smoothies to help with ice cream cravings with protein and fruits and add Xanthan Gum will be like eating a DQ BLIZZARD :) OR MAYNE SOME HALO TOP ICE CREAM can eat the whole pint and its way less calories
Love how you eat the salad.lol. I take a salad in a gallon ziplock bag, put the dressing in a sandwich bag, then at lunch just add dressing to bag, mix around and I eat it from bag. Easy to pack, eat and clean up. My staff think it’s hilarious that I eat from a bag. I think it smart, myself. Lol Enjoy your cooking videos. Blessings
Switch to cashew milk. If sounds so crazy... tastes so much like regular dairy but has so few calories and way less carbs. It may help give you that added burn you want!
You are preaching to the choir girlfriend, regarding emotional eating anyway, lol! I definitely am an emotional eater. Unfortunately; I am also a stressful and habitual eater,( often do it without even thinking).
I'm starting 75 Hard June 1st Had to get rid of some of this food in the house before having it in my face all the time and no one else to eat it. Gotta get myself straight before Nov. Lol
I just found your channel and I would like to make a few suggestions if I may. Your doing a great job and can I suggest to you to try turkey pepperoni and instead of heavy cream maybe try half and half and then maybe work your way to a flavored milk like almond or cashew or something. You doing good and I'm NO NUTRITIONIST, DR ETC I'm just watching your videos. I can see your trying so hard but you may want to try going a lower calorie/fat route. Again I'm not criticizing you at all just as an outsider looking in. There is also an ice cream that's made with just banana's and it's pretty much just putting overripe bananas in a food processer or your Ninja with a little bit of water and creaming them until they form an ice cream. Then you can add some toppings like Sugar free chocolate chips or maybe sugar free caramel is excellent. It's so good and good for you and a good treat/alternative to the ice cream. Again not saying anything bad AT ALL about you just making some suggestions.
Abby!! I had a vertuoline machine and just couldn't make myself keep buying those expensive 1 dollar pods!! Do you find yours cheaper somewhere or just bite the bullet since it's like the best coffee/espresso ever lol
Eating a tub of ice cream always sounds great when you feel emotional until I eat it then I feel worse but never while I'm eating it because that's when it feels great
Omg me toooooo, I’ll automatically aim for sweets when im stressed.. sometimes its like i keep eating and eating and eating, like im waiting for it to make me feel better and it never does 🤣 hence why i cant lose
For anyone who runs out of eggs and doesn’t have flax seeds on hand do your self a favor and buy $3 bag of bob red mills powdered egg replacer. All you have to do is add water and wait 2 minutes and it makes 34 eggs!
Good Morning, Abby! Christine sent me over. If it's not too personal to ask: Is that your college ring you're wearing? From what college? Also, what type of work do you do? Many thanks.
i feel you ....you do marvellously by the way ... your a young awesome mum ...you work 2 jobs .. which i take my hat off to you as you make it look easy which i imagine life gets a little overwhelming at times ..i emotionally eat ..i have found a top tip ...i allow myself a low calorie milkshake n go into a quiet or dark room .n i sit with a relaxation on and sip my milkshake ...n it truly works ...cos your having something sweet n then calming your mind ..tell your man if he's there you need alone time for 20 mins as its worth a try ..works for me ... might just work for you ...trick your brain hee hee ... 💚💛
@@caseydarliiing you can make it both ways ... i use skimmed milk then nesquick powder then you make how much you want but if you really want a low calorie big milkshake using coco powder is much healthier than nesquick powder hee hee ....if you want measurements just let me know n ill write both versions out for you ...
I'm not usually an emotional eater, but that same thing happened to me today. I've been eating healthy and today i had a job interview and was a nervous wreck and had to go to Chick-fil-A 🙄
You know your a mom when you use a baby spoon lol idk how many times I've packed a baby spoon to work instead of a regular spoon the look of my co workers tho 😂
I recently came across your page and I love it !! So You mentioned you was trying to lose that last bit of weight ? And you mentioned you didnt have much time with busy lifestyle . Look up a BMR calculator , see what your maintenance calories and eat 200-500 calories less then that total calories you use at maintenance. Get you a food scale and weight all foods and drinks you consume . and download a food tracker , I use myfitness pal , it helps you to track exactly what you are consuming and not guessing and over eating or under eating . Its a matter of calories in and calories out .eating less calories then maintenance calories you will start burning more calories .And this will help with your energy levels to not being so tired and worn down ! Most people don't realize that food Isn't the enemy and they are starving themselves to lose weight that normally slows the process ! and a good refeed day helps boost your weight loss as well . I know this probably sounds like a crazy talk lol ooouuu and maybe go walk with the kidos get a little active walk in outside or so . keep up the great work with the videos and hopefully you lose that stressful 5 lbs or so
I think you did a GREAT job of throwing that meal together. You had a good variety of food and no one would know that you hadn’t planned it beforehand.

I thought the same thing when I seen her grab it
Me too 😂
You’re an incredible woman don’t be so hard on yourself. Lots of people are eat their feelings.

Yes girl i hear you am with you. I put 40 pounds over last year cause of eating and not moving and i have no one to blame but myself.

Blessings
That is smart
Great idea!!!!
I'm am emotional eater too. I also eat when I'm bored. I try to knit instead of snacking.
OMG...amazing video. I'm recently start watching your videos here and love it. Thank you for all information that you shared..👍😁
I love your videos 🌻🌻 hang in there girl 👍 You got this 🌻
Where did you get that thing that u put on side of pot to drain the water of your macaroni at ?
Switch to cashew milk. If sounds so crazy... tastes so much like regular dairy but has so few calories and way less carbs. It may help give you that added burn you want!
I use baby spoons to stir my coffee as well 🤣🤷🏼♀️
This is a great video!!! Thank you
Thank you for the video stay safe God bless and sending lots of love💜
You are not the only one I am in the same boat as you
I am definitely an emotional eater! I try to clean though when I’m stressed, so I don’t focus on how I want to eat all the food!
I’m a way super emotional eater and now way to stop.. it sucks. You got this girly.
You are preaching to the choir girlfriend, regarding emotional eating anyway, lol! I definitely am an emotional eater. Unfortunately; I am also a stressful and habitual eater,( often do it without even thinking).
I'm starting 75 Hard June 1st
Had to get rid of some of this food in the house before having it in my face all the time and no one else to eat it.
3:30-4 pm I am ravenous… could eat the entire fridge and all my good choices for the day … pouff, gone!!!
Eating a tub of ice cream always sounds great when you feel emotional until I eat it then I feel worse but never while I'm eating it because that's when it feels great
Yes I am the same way
Yes, girl!!!!
I know I’m a binge eater when I’m emotional too. I’m really trying to work on it ❤️
Good Morning, Abby! Christine sent me over. If it's not too personal to ask: Is that your college ring you're wearing? From what college? Also, what type of work do you do? Many thanks.
Yes!! I am such an emotional eater
Also I really needed to see this! You didn't run to the store spend money your using what you have I need to be more proactive this way.
i feel you ....you do marvellously by the way ... your a young awesome mum ...you work 2 jobs .. which i take my hat off to you as you make it look easy which i imagine life gets a little overwhelming at times ..i emotionally eat ..i have found a top tip ...i allow myself a low calorie milkshake n go into a quiet or dark room .n i sit with a relaxation on and sip my milkshake ...n it truly works ...cos your having something sweet n then calming your mind ..tell your man if he's there you need alone time for 20 mins as its worth a try ..works for me ... might just work for you ...trick your brain hee hee ... 💚💛
How do you make a low calorie milkshake?
@@caseydarliiing you can make it both ways ...
i use skimmed milk then nesquick powder then you make how much you want but if you really want a low calorie big milkshake using coco powder is much healthier than nesquick powder hee hee ....if you want measurements just let me know n ill write both versions out for you ...
@@susieQ666 thank you 😊
I like how this was showing real life. It gets old seeing highlight reels
I'm not usually an emotional eater, but that same thing happened to me today. I've been eating healthy and today i had a job interview and was a nervous wreck and had to go to Chick-fil-A 🙄
Yes, I'm the same way then I beat myself up really bad. 😒
I COMPLETELY know what you mean with the eating. Then I feel even grosser, like what I did earlier didn't even matter. 😔
I eat when I’m bored and I’m a stay at home mom LOL
