There were some nice stamps there, especially some of the older Commonwealth ones. But the ones that piqued my interest the most were the Coolgardie bicycle stamps. I will certainly be looking out for those to add to my Cinderella folder 👍
I had not heard of them before. I can see that originals are worth a lot, hundreds of dollars, but there's plenty of reproductions and anniversary types available.
We all have our favourite Countries to collect, mine are UK, then British Commonwealth, then France, because my first 43 years were spent in England, and my paternal family is from France. I have a few others, but only because they came my way.
Hi, yes, firstly there's a lot of sorting to be done. Some will need to be soaked but most are ready to go. What I collect I will keep and will offload the others either to an auction or our club's team for helping younger collectors. I normally use stock books to keep stamps.
It's normal to find those stamps on cover only, as that's how it is shown that they are first day covers. The cancellation would not normally show that on the stamp.
Thanks. Those ship stamps have prompted me to sort out my Spanish stamps, which are currently just piled in a shoe box. I will do a short video on it in the next few weeks.

Finnish currency after 1860 was PEN for Penni, and Markka - 100 penni.

You are correct. The stamps from Azerbaijan are not official stamps. They were privarely printed. I love the Spanish ship stamps.
