How do you power and charge all your camera gear and devices???
Another great video Sidney just as I’m researching power stations. Great 🧠’s!!!
Excellent for camping
Thanks for the info, you convinced me, I'm buying it :)
Great review dude. Thank you for this.
Great video, I really like the blackout simulation testing.
Great review, i like it thanks!
Thank you for doing the testing. I got one for a 100 dlls off. It’s great to be able to charge phones during blackouts
Thanks bro 😎
I like how use demonstrated real world usage.Subscribed!
Oh man...so here I am, looking at the title and thinking...oh this is probably going to be boring because its about boring battery of some kind, and then I watched it anyway and wow, is this thing useful! Great video man! This Anker Station is awesome! I feel like I want to buy two for remote photography productions and for that power outage situation that might occur. Great info...thanks for sharing!
Thanks Peter! This thing is one of those devices that's boring, but SOOOOOO USEFUL!!
have one of these from bluetti. I mostly use it to power lights on set. super handy.
It's the practical gear that's become the sexiest for me
Really good review, i think the portable power station space is about to see some big discounts, for example i recently reviewed the Aeiusny 296wh that was $160 just 2 days ago, it's at $129 today... that's great for consumers!
I'm a RUclipsr and I have about 11 Anker battery banks, 7 Anker chargers and Anker car chargers. I'm picking this up for the purpose you mentioned in the video, plugging in studio lights so I really appreciate that you mentioned that. If you happen to know, how long would it last with two soft boxes plugged in?
The strip light will also flash the SOS signal if you press and hold the on button.
Always nice to have one of those for lights that can’t be powered off by batteries. Good stuff!
Honestly, I’m just happy to have backup power for blackouts haha. I might test it out with my PS4…
@@SidneyDiongzon only for a number of hours during your black out lol 😂 I guess some
Is better than nothing
Blackouts in TX suck! So I’ll take a few hours over no power!!
@@SidneyDiongzon anything is for sure better than nothing!
Powerful source of power eh! You have my attention 😂👍🏻
Thanks for the excellent video, can we use anker 521 as car jump starter in case of an emergency.
I was really interested in how long you can use your lights on an outdoor scene and knowing that you can have 10 hours at your disposal with 1 light (and I presume 5/6 hours with 2 lights) is pretty impressive. It seems like it's quite hard to get a hold of one of those Anker here in Europe tho
Portable power has become so intriguing to me these days! I wonder if it's a supply chain issue if it's hard to get in Europe...
@@SidneyDiongzon might be, maybe microchips shortage?😜 I'll keep searching tho and let you know 🤞
woww!! we have Anker here in the Philippines but we dont have that yet here! cool
Lots of lighting system have bridge rectifier in them so you likely can power that light with a battery. Youd be better off powering all your devices with dc. Converting power to ac uses more power. All youd need it a few buck converters for devices that use lower then 12 volts
Just wondering how loud the fan is when you plug in 200W video lights and whether it can be picked up by the camera or the lav mic.
Looks cool
It’s awesome!!
I got the bluette EB70 for a similar review. I was curious to see the comparison. The eb70 has 100w PD ports so you can supplement your MacBooks power brick. That was pretty cool. Great review though. Always love a good tech review.
Oh cool, I’ll have to check that out!
@@SidneyDiongzon haha. It certainly was not like yours.
Yup I want this
It's pretty amazing!
what about the solar charging time or wall charger time?
Just arrived yesterday..charging it up now
NOICE!
That's cool 😎
It’s VERY cool!
This looks awesome, I love the size and form factor of it. One thing I may have missed if you said it, what does it retail for?
It’s so handy to have! Retails for $259 (link in description)
@@SidneyDiongzon Thanks, I clicked on the link and it said "currently unavailable" (I'm in Canada) with no price.
@@JasonLorette Oh bummer! Hoping it'll be available soon for y'all
Do you know if this could be use as an UPS too
Looks nice, somehow it doesn’t seem to be available in Australia is it?
Were u at full power when u measured the aputure 120?
Does this product have enough power to use a godox vl300 led light?
Does it just charge or can it supply continuous power to my Sony Mirrorless camera
what % brightness was the 100D when you were outside? ballpark estimate would be cool
20% during that time filing because I shot at ISO 12800, but I’ve used it at 100% brightness and it lasted hours!
I think I’d focus on keeping the refrigerator and freezer powered during a blackout… work can wait 🤪
OMG I NEED TO TRY THIS ASAP!!!!
Can you run a ps5 and a monitor with this? If so how long?
That intro music sounds similar to Apple's october event 2020.
❤️❤️
Thanks for watching!
@@SidneyDiongzon haha 😂 I do check maximum of your videos man
If only I could take it on planes 😭 would be fantastic for travel weddings, especially ones in more remote locations.
Oh I know! That would be soooo perfect for weddings
3:45 CAT!
can i use this to game on a laptop for 7h day ?
I’m planning to get the Amaran 100d and trying to figure out the best external power option. Looks like the v mount/batteries going to cost more than using the Anker power bank.
Did u find out? Also wanna try this with the 200d
@@everonproducties I like that you can connect two lights to Anker power bank at the same time, when with the v-mount batteries you would have to buy another v-mount battery. I just look at the cost and yes, I get it that the vmount batteries might be more portable option but $
Never hurts to have a backup power source in your house. Trust me a cold winter night is not fun during a power outage.
That snow storm really wants to me to be prepared the next time it happens!
my only concern if it will cause a fire hazard while you are not at home. your home will be burnt down.
How has it held up?
Super cool device, but I just feel like it's way too small. Even if you only plugged in a lamp to get light during a blackout it's only 14 hours, and the more you plug in, the more that 14 hours turns into just a few hours. Blackouts can last for days. Something with 4 times the battery power would make more sense to me. Unfortunately, the prices go way up at that point.
Can you charge it with a solar panel like my wattfun?
Yeah but probably not fast
Low power led lights are no issue and try charging those laptops all at once .. actually charging
Hi Sidney, sort of a side question... if someone was out remotely, do you think the Anker 521 Portable Power Station would re-charge a OneWheel Pint or XR? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yep! What a great question!
Can you use a 3 prong plug or just 2 prong plugs devices?
You can use only use one three prong at a time. It has a space for ground.
No three-prong outlet support?
Yep there is! There's a gap to make room for that third prong.
@@SidneyDiongzon Oh nice, thanks!
Great question! Thanks for asking!
The most important Feature is that the LiFePo Battery Chemistry
supports recharging hundreds of cycles = at least 6X more than basic Li !!! !!!
...
طريقته بسيطة وصادقة في العرض
You can't bring it on an airplane, it's battery is more than 100Wh.
can it run a microwave?
Can it power a heater during a blackout during winter time? Can it power a small kitchen? I guess once is freezing outside and don’t have power at home one has to have priorities. Sure it’d be nice to be able to play your switch while camping but don’t confuse this product with a life saving option during a blackout.
It’s a great product to have as a backup, is just not a life saver.
Yeah you need a generator (run it outside) and gas for that.
No, not compared to an actual generator haha.
Can it power a hair dryer?
Yep! I even tried it
Can you bring this on an international flight?
Compared to dc weather the texas snow storm was a pipsqueak little and compared to the snow up north. All of the things that happened in texas could have been 300% avoided if the pathetic governor took the proper safety precautions that are taken halfway up the country. Because up there we had 4 1/2 ft of snow that went up to our knees and because of the safety precautions that were taken “schools were open along with ALL THE ROADS!
Vote for someone who cares about safety so there won’t be anymore 100 car pileups
Salesman!
boring!
Absolutely useless review. No info on pass through, and using this device as UPS…
Anker 521 - Totally useless - load of issues by users and mines dead now too - won’t charge/ or replace under warranty as I bought used. Display never showed correct % from the start - suggest any buyers find something better.
