  • Ever wanted to make your own homemade kebabs on a proper rotisserie? Well, with this kitchen gadget I found online you can do just that - in this video I try kebab skewers, rotisserie a whole chicken and an actual homemade doner kebab! See what you think of it, but for me it was one of the best things i've ever paid for!
Although I bought this on ebay, you can buy the gadget here on Amazon, it's supposed to include a door too by the looks of it!

I have a little tip for the ground meat. After mixing in all the spices, pick up the meat and slam it into the bowl (best to use a metal bowl) do this about 10-15 times and it makes the meat more gluey and will help it stick together better. It also gives it a better consistency for eating in my opinion.

My fiance got me one of these for Christmas, I then embarked on a mission to make the ultimate home made doner. The trick is to make nice firm burger patties and stack them on top of each other :) it gives you a more consistent doner, up until then I did the way you're doing it now ;) stack patties!! It works a million times better and with the right amount of garlic and spices you'll get a seriously tasty doner unlike anything from a shop :) add a beaten egg or two and half a cup of breadcrumbs and it sticks together really well

When I worked in a takeaway, we didn't baste the kebab meat, but we did slice it super thin and crispy using a special carving knife ordinarily used to shave off layers of skin in skin graft operations.

Chanced upon this video and it was bloody brilliant. Kind of how I like to play about with cheap tools for repairing retro computers, but cooking and I also love to cook. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

actually if you've ever seen real Gordon Ramsey, not the wound up ball of fury they have him play on American shows, he's a LOT like Barry, he gets giddy, goofs off like a kid, laughs a lot, blushes and gets flustered, trips up, knocks things down, laughs at himself for messing up a dish, and is a good sport about it all. He could do a show with Barry and they would both have tons of fun.

Such a waste of energy. They really should have included a glass cover for the front to reflect the heat back into the food. Otherwise you're just heating up the room

Sometimes I swear you make it more difficult on purpose lol. I'm sure you've made a bacon bomb/explosion previously, what you want to do is basically that technique with the lamb mince, lay it flat onto some wrap, put the rotisserie pole at the start and roll it into the lamb so its central when you finish rolling. A lot less hassle and a lot neater looking too.
Edit: Also invest in an electric bread knife, it will make carving kebabs a hell of a lot easier, even when its moving.
