Note that corrugated cardboard cuts differently in different directions. You want to cut the strips in the direction that exposes the up-and-down bends in the corrugating.

I made this and decorated it with colored cardstock! My cats love it! I didn't have to turn the pizza box inside out. I just cut off the sides, made the one side edge and glued it in to the bottom. Worked like a charm. My cat that hates scratching on the sisal post has taken to this and is finally leaving my coffee table legs alone! Thank you so much! I can't wait to make more! ok just did this. 50is strips inside the box is a lot. took a lot of glue as well. just had enough. I hope it lasts a while. cat might be joining our family tomorrow. I saw another video where the guy had a table saw. that is the way to get this done. Also when you get boxes to cut up. get boxes that held packaged factory food. not fruits and veggies.
