    Army vet here...we had a battalion once where, when an enlisted guy saluted an officer, would sound off with, "Strike Deep!" (the unit motto).
    Some officers would respond with, "How deep?".
    To which the soldier would respond (rather enthusiastically), "BALLS DEEP!"

      @8RBrain Месяц назад +1

      19:20 Assume you are asking about the pole to the right of the engine on the boat to the right. That is a Powered "anchor pole". It folds out and extends down to the bottom to keep the boat in place. Without having to use a regular anchor and line. However, it can only be used in shallow water.

    As a angler/boater in Clearwater FL. for over 40 years, it still amazes me how inconsiderate people are at most boat ramps. However, this is a really nice ramp and probably a lot harder to get crazy video content than most. Most ramps don't have a waiting dock so you have people, and (many intoxicated ones) ready to have it out for this reason.
    1. You don't wait until a busy weekend or holiday to learn how to back a trailer, launch or retrailer your boat. I've seen it 1000 times. You should know that if you are dumb enough to try to learn these procedures during busy times, then Dan or someone like him will be there to show the world how dumb you are!
    2. Even worse are the people who think there are experts. They have retrailered their boat 100 times, and STILL do it WRONG! Like I said, most ramps don't have a waiting dock like this one, so the launching ramp becomes a cluster ****.
    If you motor up to the dock at the ramp and tie off and start unloading the boat while someone goes and gets the vehicle and trailer, you are doing it WRONG! It is very inconsiderate to tie off and waste everyones time!
    This is the correct and considerate procedure.
    Whoever is going to get the trailer should be on the bow. The captain should nose up to the end of the dock and let the person getting the trailer get off the boat, while the capt. backs out of everyones way. Only when his trailer is backing down should he maneuver towards it. The backer should know exactly how deep the trailer needs to be (I use the front roller to quage how far to back down), but every trailer is different. Once at the correct depth, the driver should lock the emergency brake, get out and by the time he gets to the wench, the capt. should have the bow within a foot of the V stop, so that the driver can simply hook the cable to the boat and crank up the one foot or less tight to the V stop. (if you have to crank more than a foot, you didn't get the trailer deep enough.) By then, the capt. or other crew member, should have raised the motor. The driver pulls the boat out to clear the ramp for the next person. From the time the trailer gets wet, until the time the boat is completely out of everyone's way should take less than one minute. Even if it takes two minutes that is a lot more considerate than tying off and unloading while the next boats waits! Once the boat is clear of the ramp. Then the driver can get out, pull the plug and lock the motor up. THEN, the capt. and whoever is still on the boat can start offloading to whoever is on the ground. Boat ramps would flow so much more smoothly if each capt. took this more seriously. And who knows! He may not have to see himself or his crew looking silly on you tube!

    The only part about watching your channel. Some of the stuff you pick on makes no sense.
    You’re pulling into a boat ramp cove for one you need to slow the hell down it’s supposed to be a waveless free zone.
    And just like that woman on the pontoon she’s out on the deck there’s nothing wrong with that when you’re in the boat ramp. She’s getting ready to tie the boat up.
    Unlike half these boats that come in too fast got 20,000 people on the boat and not one person is trying to stop the boat from hitting the dock got a rope in the hand let alone you need the front in the back of the boat tied up and they’re just standing around Look at the captain and he’s like hey any of you gonna tie my boat up so we can take care of the business now.
    Then the one Boat that comes in with a lady getting ready to tie up the boat in a waveless zone complaining about her.
    Now they were at full throttle out in the open water then they’ll be a problem. And they have little stickers on them boats when the boats in use do not be out here.
