@@chubbrock659it’s easier the more you do it just like anything else. But boating depending on where you live and where you’re going can vary drastically, and take far more time learning the ins and outs of that body of water. Calm seas don’t make good captains. Every move on a boat small or large needs to be thought out, the problem people make is they think it’s like driving a car.
Do yourself a favor. When you are out on the water get to an area of little to no traffic. Practice trying to turn your boat 180 degrees in only the approximate footprint on your vessel. It will pay dividends when you learn to do it. You shouldn’t even use throttle. Just helm and bumping in and out of gear forward and reverse. Also if you boat where there is decent current and/or wind, learn to use and love spring lines. They are your friend and the proper way to dock a boat. You will learn they are a valuable tool when a perfect Parallel docking is not possible or docking alone in a current/wind. You shouldn’t need to even be in gear within 5yds of the dock. If you haven’t already go to BoatUS and take a boater safety course. It will teach you a ton and make you much safer on the water as well as be able to identify the idiots who have no clue so you can steer way clear of them.
Love watching your videos. I have learned a lot. I back the trailer into the water (not well but learning). I think I have been putting into the water to far so thank you. Can’t wait to try next summer. Keep them coming!
Took the JetSki out on Sunday for the first outing of 2024 because I finally had time to and the weather was nice. Got out of the no wake zone, gradually increased the throttle, and it spun out before gripping. So apparently I have a bad cavitation issue. I pulled it out of the water and shown a light through both the intake and exit nozzle of the pump and there was nothing sucked up. So I guess I gotta take my pump apart because something’s wrong. Oh the joys of boat ownership 😅 Don’t worry guys I’ll get this figured out.

Big Dan, the boaters just need to wrap some reflective tape around the trailer guides so when the tape kisses the water that should be the correct depth. It would resolve a lot of issues with gel coat repairs and impeller replacements.
im not so sure . . . will the angle of the ramp (varies by location) alter how deep you need to put the trailer? i never had guides, but always put the bunks in the same depth - never ran into issues. KISS!

@8:15 Dan? What are these cammo boats with cammo engines? LOL We think AL could be actually more backward than Mississippi. If that is even possible. Share your educated comments below.
To the yellow Hummer owner, how can you own a boat like that and not know how to back the trailer in? Surely you had a smaller boat earlier in life to practice on? Or do they just YOLO it and get the biggest boat they can for their first one?
grew up on the great lakes, and I cannot believe how many people drive boats onto a trailer. Wow. Just use the winch. People are going to hit the lower unit or tear up the bottom of the boat. Some times not but get an electric winch and it pulls it right on while all you have to do is guide the boat. One person can load and unload when you learn how. Just crazy how many clueless people.
Pontoon guy new what that bigger boat was looking to do and didn't want to deal with crossing his wake. I'm not in a pontoon but I'll avoid them big cruisers also.
Pontoon boat was the stand on vessel and had right of way. If the other boat wanted to pass he should have overtaken on the left (port) after signaling. Blue boat was the dick on numerous counts.
@keithscudder7136 Oh, okay, thank you. I went on a school tour of the lighthouse and facility there as a kid in the mid to late 70's. Nice place to be stationed unless the Eatons Nexk Road washed out in a storm, lol.

Not a life jacket in sight.. Them Yanks sure are foolish.. Some nice boats, but hope less drivers. That the steering wheel and at the controls of the boats.. And its a calm day..... Here we are straight into the Ocean.. Sometimes big waves, you can't muck around or you get smashed..
I'm sitting here laughing but at the same time I'm a new boater so I'm just looking at the endless possibilities waiting to happen to me😂.
Hahaaaa gotta love it. Enjoy the experience. Laugh through the problems and you’ll be fine

Love that pro-line. We run those on the Chesapeake for rockfish and duck hunting. Modified but love those hulls.

Those duck boats with the stump jump motors are awesome.

Top of the fender wells is a good rule of thumb as well.
Another great video brother. I guess the Jupiter pulling out will be on the next video.
Time will tell 🥴🤪 thanks brother
Afternoon of FUN on the high seas!!🇨🇦🤣
The wheels/tires on that dark red GMC PU are ridiculous. Rubber bands wrapped around big bling wheels, sticking way out from the wheelwells.
😝
Those duck boats sound like a v-twin harley
Yeah yeah they go
Best hillbilly dummy "boater" vids in town.
Gracias Amigo... still laughing... forever.
Another beautiful day on the water!
Yes it was!
Man I got to get my bass boat out and get it fired up. I got a new sonar for it. new trolling battery's. I am ready to do some bass fishing.
