While I appreciate the host's enthusiasm, she needs to let the person she's interviewing complete their sentences before she jumps in to talk over them. The constant interruptions made their whole interview sound choppy and chaotic. The host needs to stop centering her reactions and allow the conversation to flow. Ask your questions and let the person you're interviewing respond. That give and take makes the interaction entertaining for your viewers. This exchange was just irritating.
Obviously she's incredibly nervous, and is way over animated in her reactions to fill the empty sound space, which she can't even allow to happen. She's young, she'll get better at it. I notice she calms down a bit more towards the end.

You think so until you realize 2 seasons of clothes don't fit in the closet and when summer is over and fall/winter comes in summer has to be stored somewhere. Watching this video a year after it was posted and I can happily say that in more recent videos, the host, does a much better job at hosting the show.😊
Enjoyed this visit. This young woman is so right about living in NYC...the cultural advantages are so immense, plus the fact that her family is 5 minutes away, are reasons enough for her to sacrifice her living space...though her place is tiny, it is charming and what a great place to live in if you are a musician! Two things should have been added to this video: we should have seen the bathroom and we all would love to know how much she pays in rent. The host needs to be very careful about speaking over her guest. It was so frustrating to hear her constant interruptions. I wanted to hear what Emily had to say in response to the questions.
Cash Jordan a RUclips Realtor. Showed a similar apartment and the bath and shower was down the hall. Much like this other guy another RUclips person living in a small apartment he has to go down the hall. That guy said he pays over a $1000.00 a month.
That ceiling looks higher than the standard 8', maybe 9-10'? I would have built a bunk bed system with the bed on top and the desk and sofa underneath it
❤ how she makes the space work for her, and the storage hacks are great. She has the best of life nearby: The park, Broadway, museums and family. Thanks for sharing this sweet space.
LOL..."below her budget!" This is NYC's Upper West Side! There's no way her earnings as a musician are paying for this. Someone else is footing the bill, probably her parents.

You’re right. I find this true especially of manhattanites. They don’t even believe the other boroughs exist lol
This apt is adorable, functional, creative, and full of personality! Thank you for the tour. I live in 180 square feet and love it. It's more like playing house rather than keeping house.
Does your 180 have a bathroom?
@@kenyonbissett3512 yes. It has a small RV sized tub/shower, sink with vanity (and storage) a large medicine cabinet and of course a toilet. Total dimensions: 3' x 4' 10"".
@@suzannecranford6819 tiny but functional. We lived in an rev with a bathroom just like that while our home was being built (30x70). Every time I moved to wash a body part I hit my elbow, lol.
@@kenyonbissett3512 lol!!!
It's amazing how I end up in there with 2 cats and 2 dogs all at the same time. I want to get a smaller toilet in order to gain a couple more inches of floor space. 😁
@@suzannecranford6819 having the 2 dogs, you must get out a lot. Are you near a park for them to enjoy?
It would be very interesting to know how much would this space in New York would cost to rent per month!
~2,300 could be more
Upper west side
I would say probably 1800, depending upon how long she’s lived there, I had a 1 bedroom in at townhouse for less than 2300 on the UWS, and west of broadway.
Probably, the way rent has went up around 2500 or more.
I really need to know where her bathroom is! I love how she uses her space!
If these two didn't constantly talk over each other, it would have been much more interesting to watch.
Lovely apartment. Thanks for sharing 👍 🥰
Thank you so much!! :)
What does she need more space for? To collect and store more useless stuff? This is perfect, and it is enough. Nicely put together!
Love this! Making it work
Thank you!! :)
Watching this video a year after it was posted and I can happily say that in more recent videos, the host, does a much better job at hosting the show.😊
She makes it look so cozy 😊
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
Enjoyed this visit. This young woman is so right about living in NYC...the cultural advantages are so immense, plus the fact that her family is 5 minutes away, are reasons enough for her to sacrifice her living space...though her place is tiny, it is charming and what a great place to live in if you are a musician! Two things should have been added to this video: we should have seen the bathroom and we all would love to know how much she pays in rent. The host needs to be very careful about speaking over her guest. It was so frustrating to hear her constant interruptions. I wanted to hear what Emily had to say in response to the questions.
Hello how are you doing?
Cash Jordan a RUclips Realtor. Showed a similar apartment and the bath and shower was down the hall. Much like this other guy another RUclips person living in a small apartment he has to go down the hall. That guy said he pays over a $1000.00 a month.
New York is like no place else…. Unlimited, multi cultural, multi lingual, incredible!
That ceiling looks higher than the standard 8', maybe 9-10'? I would have built a bunk bed system with the bed on top and the desk and sofa underneath it
Yesss I did that in my apartment in Chelsea to make extra space underneath
I put a little mini couch too
❤ how she makes the space work for her, and the storage hacks are great. She has the best of life nearby: The park, Broadway, museums and family. Thanks for sharing this sweet space.
Love it!!
Them talking over each other is horrible
I can't wait to see more ! I binged all the Tiny space videos :)
Very curious about the rent! Ideal location, but can’t imagine paying 1000’s for such a small space!
You have to consider it's also a prewar building so I'm sure it's pretty up there. Prewar means little to no noise, tall ceilings, etc. And it's NYC!
Definitely Upper West Side is my favourite place for staying in NYC !
I agree!
How much is her rent? Whatever it is, I hope it is well below her budget. If she is able to aggressively save living here then I support it.
LOL..."below her budget!" This is NYC's Upper West Side! There's no way her earnings as a musician are paying for this. Someone else is footing the bill, probably her parents.
Id bet 2000
love the kitchen setup! when you are young and move out of your parents home, anything larger than your bedroom is spacious!
Love this so much! Let's see more tiny spaces please :)
Coming at you soon, Natalie :)
The great thing about these types of spaces no one can really come and live with you, which I love.
Love it! A Beddy Bed would improve your sleep 1000 percent
This was the definition of matching energy lol
more tiny tours please!
Coming. right up, Claudia!
@@listed I really like this host!
I like the mirrors. Nice layout, I would use more shelves, lol. Shes done great with the space she has. I have too many clothes to live in NYC. Lol
Thanks you could make it work :)
And for only $2300 a month it can be YOURS!!
Compared to the shitholes in Florida for 2300 I'd gladly take this. Oh and far more access to different shit.
I LOVE IT ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
isn't it!
🔥🔥🔥
Beautifully done, your home is so well organized and put together to fill so homey, I would love this size. So happy for you that you have family close by, what a Blessing. God Bless love🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
I like how you made this space yours! Just one question: where is the bathroom?!
Towards the front! We didn't show it in this tour, but it's nice!
@@listed Ok, thank you for clarifying :-)
@@listed Why didn't you show it? Would have loved to have a peak :)
@@lsamoa It was cut out due to time restraints- I do have a bathroom... and a bathtub! :)
@@Emviolin417 It must be a lovely bathroom, I really like your place :)
A small apartment is a small apartment - no matter how you would like to pretend otherwise. The restrictions are there, no matter how positive you are about your living conditions.
How about the bathroom? I live in a space that's only slightly larger (about 200 ft²), but has its own full bathroom. I haven't lived in a place without its own bathroom since university, and hope I never have to again. Otherwise I love how much she obviously likes living there, and she's lucky to have her family so close by. I hope she gets to see her doggo every day, though! 🙂👍
If you click on the description arrow, click the ticktock video, it does a really quick walk through and you see the bathroom at the end.
@@kimkimba1131 Thanks!
I live in South Florida and am considering living in a micro-studio. Watching these videos is so inspiring. I love South Florida. The weather is always fantastic. I understand not wanting to move because of location. It is going to save money too.
I'd love a small space like this in NYC! But how much is rent?
This is the question we are all dying to know.
@@ljtinney - Found it; sorta. $1600/mo end of 2020. It’s in one of the comments in the original TikTok, but she deleted her own response confirming the price, which is probably higher now since rents have returned to or surpassed pre-pandemic levels. That’s not bad for a studio in a really good location in NYC. If it’s high floor up with no elevator, that might not be as good of a price. Also, random side note, the dog is her family’s; just likes to hang out with her. 🐶
@@hummersd Thank you. You're the MVP.
@@hummersd It only went up $50 :)
@@hummersd Bravo 👏 Excellent research.
