Yes, I think because she is a minimalist in her possessions (and smart about the under the bed storage). Perhaps, it's more obvious that it is small in person, but it feels like a normal apartment with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom.
This apartment is neat, cozy and unique. I love that tiny kitchen. Everything is collected and in order. Gail has done a beautiful job of decorating and making all the spaces her own.
Gail has done an amazing job in her home. She had made it look larger and has used her set up to the maximum. It's also so nice to have a separate sleeping area. I live in 475 sq ft and have had compliments of how I've decorated. It's about finding the right pieces for your home and where they will look the best and highlight that area.
I love what you did with your apartment! It has a vintage and eclectic vibe about it. You made it a home. The bedroom feels airy and spacious. I’ve rented larger places with smaller bedrooms than yours. It amazes me how some NYC apartments are so transformative, and give you a sense of being in a suburb, or another country. I haven’t lived in NYC for decades, but I take a piece of it with me, everywhere I go.
Gail, your apartment looks much larger than it is. I love the colors and the way you arranged everything. Especially love the birthday candle holder…happy birthday to you! And the “broken” mirror in the kitchen. Great job!
This place feels so much larger than it really is. The two wonders of it are the well-equipped kitchen with a great stove and a full size fridge, and the beautifully tiled bathroom with a tub, such a great thing to have in the winter. The only change I'd make is to put more counter space right behind her sofa. I'd find cooking tough with so little counter space.
Gail… I love your place. I really like when I see a person’s own stuff and style. It’s unique and not beige!! One suggestion… bring that disco ball down a bunch and let the sunlight have it’s way with the prisms. Loves 💛✨
This apartment is a fantasy jewel box of surprises. I love the quirky collections. And May I say it’s impeccably clean ❤ I’m completely inspired to display all my treasures in my bedroom remodel.
I love how you didn't change the original cabinets and bathroom tile, you made it your own without doing a lot to it. Its original and I like that. I like the old but not too old look to your home.
You did this all yourself? It is STUNNING. Every minute detail is perfect. (Not hyperbole - I'm a retired designer & you beat me in a few places - brava! )
I'm from the NYC/NJ area. I think that your apt. is charming, airy and full of light. It doesn't feel small at all. I love your decorations and personal touches. 👍
What a beautifully decorated small space. I'm so impressed. It does reinforce to me though that you should always put the lid of the toilet down - never a good look.
You’ve done a beautiful with your apartment. I expected it to be a cramped, small space but you’ve styled it so intelligently it appears as spacious. As well as warm, welcoming, comfortable yet efficient. Great job Gail. 👍 You make NYC look good. xx
Kitchy, ecletic and her choice of knick nacks fits with her place. Definitely a fan of all the fun mirrors and it does make the kitchen seem a bit more bigger in a way
Nice decor...it's fascinating to me the things people can pick up off the streets and make it fit so well in their place. I just don't have that type of vision.
Your apartment is adorable I love it I love it because I'm an interior designer and I love interior design and home staging you did a great job it looks so beautiful
You've made great use if a tiny space and everything looks serene and beautiful- but have you considered swapping your dining and living room spaces and moving the mirrors to pull in more light from the bedroom to the interior?
Very eclectic furnishings, which I love, as it adds so much to the design elements of the apartment. Your personal pieces are so interesting! It certainly seems much more spacious than 270 sq. ft. Love what you've done with your place. You have great style!
Wow! It seems larger than 275 square feet. LOVE the Brick Walls!! 💕💕💕💕. The Living Room looks so cozy!😍😍😍😍 The PERFECT Spot to unwind!! 🤗. Very cozy and inviting!! ☺️
Next time, to dry flowers, hobby stores sell silica. You hold the flower upside-down over a jar and pour the silca around it. It drys the flower perfectly.
What a well organized, attractively decorated, comfortable home you have created. When I compare this with the most recently posted architectural digest home tour (from Ohio), your small space brings much more calm, taste, intelligence, grace and authenticity. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
nice tiny apartment. the thing i love most is the bedroom window right next to the bed head. i guess it's just wonderfull to close and open your eyes with view like that. and you need to be enough perpendicular-thinking and brave to place your bed like this.
Such a cool apartment. I am however having a little bit of trouble getting a sense of the layout. It would be helpful if you had a few more wide shots, or a fly through, or a floorplan somewhere in the video. But I guess it's a compliment to Gail that I could get lost in her space
Ohhh... This is a supercool apartment! I love the mish-mosh decor, the exposed brick wall, and the tile floor. I dream of having a sweet little space like this one day!
Very nice and comfy. It makes me appreciate my 1903 sq. ft. home more and more. But with a small space, you can't afford to waste space. I think with larger units, we all can tend to take the "extra" space for granted. We either fill it up too much or too little. The key is balance, and you did a great job with this smaller space -- better than I've done with my larger one.
275 sq. ft. yet it has a bedroom. Cool! Nice job with the layout and decorations. One thing I would do is to paint those kitchen cabinets to a color of your favorite.
Love the vibe..."I was disinvited to the birthday party so I kept the candle holder", she really is an individualist.
It's actually kind of hard to tell it's a small space. It's beautifully decorated and feels spacious.
Yes, I think because she is a minimalist in her possessions (and smart about the under the bed storage). Perhaps, it's more obvious that it is small in person, but it feels like a normal apartment with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom.
I'm seriously impressed how many New Yorkers decorate and utilize their limited living spaces! Very impressive.
This apartment is neat, cozy and unique. I love that tiny kitchen. Everything is collected and in order. Gail has done a beautiful job of decorating and making all the spaces her own.

I love how intentional all of her decor is and how well she uses the space. Very inspirational
I love it when a person really gives personal attention to details of their space.

This looks so spacious for 275 feet. I love all the character you’ve added to your space. Well done.
Great job decorating. I love the yellow cabinets that spoke for themselves.
🙌🙌🙌
This is the best layout of furniture I’ve seen for a tiny apartment. You did a great job! I love it 👏🏻
I love you apartment I watch it twice because I wanted to pay attention to every detail. It’s absolutely adorable.
Gail, your apartment looks much larger than it is. I love the colors and the way you arranged everything. Especially love the birthday candle holder…happy birthday to you! And the “broken” mirror in the kitchen. Great job!
Love when a home is a home and shows personality

Love the exposed brick walls and the traditional bathroom inside the space.

Loves 💛✨
This is a beautiful space! Decorated to feel like it's a lot bigger than it really is.
This apartment is a fantasy jewel box of surprises. I love the quirky collections. And May I say it’s impeccably clean ❤ I’m completely inspired to display all my treasures in my bedroom remodel.
Homes with personality and character. Loved this.
I luv how everything in your apt has a story.( Very cool apt )
Nicely decorated, it doesn't look like she's trying to cram everything she owns into very limited space.
Great use of space. I also love all the little details of her apartment, which are fun, personal and interesting.
I love your detail, how you arrange the apartment, so cute and gorgeous 😍🥰
I love how you didn't change the original cabinets and bathroom tile, you made it your own without doing a lot to it. Its original and I like that. I like the old but not too old look to your home.
This is pretty much my dream one bedroom layout in NYC.
LOVE your decorating style.
That is the coolest apartment ! Gail you are awesome !!!!!!!!!!!
Wow how lucky to have this in NYC. Lovely
Your apartment is lovely! I love it. You gave the perfect tour.
This space is super cute and crisp. Love all the up cycling. Gives so much story and depth to your home
You did this all yourself? It is STUNNING. Every minute detail is perfect. (Not hyperbole - I'm a retired designer & you beat me in a few places - brava! )
Well done! I just love the minimalist aesthetic. And, how nice to have the luxury of an actual bathtub; i could never be without one.
I'm from the NYC/NJ area. I think that your apt. is charming, airy and full of light. It doesn't feel small at all. I love your decorations and personal touches. 👍

The space is organized and really clean and neat.
Small but worth every corner.!!
Very eclectic furnishings, which I love, as it adds so much to the design elements of the apartment. Your personal pieces are so interesting! It certainly seems much more spacious than 270 sq. ft. Love what you've done with your place. You have great style!
Wow. 275 sq ft and not a studio! Love the place and what you've done to it.
I know and the rooms all feel normal! Hard to believe it's not at least twice the size in square footage.
Thank you!
For the chair try an auto reupholster as they work with a lot of curves and leather, I love its design
Perfect little apartment.
Love the vibe of her space and especially that Rod Serling piece!💕
exactly!
Absolutely adorable 🥰 and I loved your thrifty finds!
Wow! It seems larger than 275 square feet. LOVE the Brick Walls!! 💕💕💕💕. The Living Room looks so cozy!😍😍😍😍 The PERFECT Spot to unwind!! 🤗. Very cozy and inviting!! ☺️
Oh my gosh this is one of the cutest little places I ever seen .. you've got yourself a real gem there.. love it!!
Absolutely Beautiful. I can see myself living there.
Beautifully decorated space. I love that Gail broke the other end of the mirror frame to match the broken end and it looks great.
these lil detail add charm to the place💕
Next time, to dry flowers, hobby stores sell silica. You hold the flower upside-down over a jar and pour the silca around it. It drys the flower perfectly.
One of the best small apartments. All of the areas are separate.

Really beautiful decorating. Unique and personal. Very lovely space.
it was the knob from London that captivated me.
So cute, so cozy! Love everything about it.

Yes like I didn't understand how the living room gets light from the bedroom...is there a door in btn?
Ohhh... This is a supercool apartment! I love the mish-mosh decor, the exposed brick wall, and the tile floor. I dream of having a sweet little space like this one day!
This is laid out so well & everything is placed perfectly! Great job!

Beautiful space awesome. Wow! Go HARLEM!!!

When she said Knick-knacks I was like “meh”, but when she showed those old books I was like 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love love this tour!
275 sq. ft. yet it has a bedroom. Cool! Nice job with the layout and decorations. One thing I would do is to paint those kitchen cabinets to a color of your favorite.
She doesn't seem to mind yellow?
love it girl!!!!!
She had me with the Rod Serling print. 👍
Hey! I follow Gail on YT and have been since she moved to her new, larger apartment. So cool to see her old place!

This place looks much larger than it is. Amazing.
We had fan type lamp in our house when I was growing up in the 80s.
Amazing job! Curious about the being disinvited from the birthday party though! Whyyyy 😊😊😊😊😊
This is the biggest small apartment I've seen in NYC.
Wow, super attention to design detail. Your apartment should feature in a design magazine, very well done! 👍💯
Thank you so much!
@@theregoesgail Very welcome!
Wow its very cool looking its so nice not seeing Boho or any other latest or fading trends
My dream NY apartment if I ever moved there. Love the exposed brick.
The uninvited gift is gorgeous, the real nice nasty way of saying “their lost”
How do you get disinvited from a birthday party?? What did you do? 😆
Lol. Was wondering if I was the only one curious about that.
I was also wondering lmao
I was looking for this comment because she can’t just skip over that like that lmaoooooo🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was the comment I was looking for so I didn’t have to say it
And the fact that she felt the need to mention it cracked me upppp
I loved how you designed your space. It looks bigger than 275 sq ft
