I don't know who in their right minds thought Gen Z men were anywhere close to being on the left given their role models are Andrew Tate, Sneako, Aiden Ross, Jake Paul, Fresh and Fit and Joe Rogan.
Gen Z male here. Hi, from a perspective of someone who just reached 21 years of age. I can say that you are half true. Although I cannot speak from the experience of other males of my age I can give you my perspective. Personally, hate me if you will, but everywhere I go since I was 13 to now I have see girls the same age as me in that time span dress very revealing in clothing and most of time but not all of them wanted to be influencers. Additionally, throughout my time on social media I always come across 2-3 posts where a girl who posts has an onlyf***, fan**, etc. And these are girls my age or with a 1-2+/- age gap. It feels really debilitating as a straight male to see that women my age are rewarded a shit ton of money just because they have those pages. I would like to point out that even if they are not blunt of their clothing choices they have subtle things they do to like wearing no undergarments where you can see the outlining on the clothing that they are wearing and having pop up in the camera's face. I personally say wear what you want, but please don't shove it in my face. Personally, I am a socialist democrat at the moment, but for a time I was a republican that is pre-trump(I would like to clarify that I was a republican at the time but I didn't support trump because he did racialize the Covid pandemic). Anyways back to the point. I personally believe as someone who used to listen to Joe Rogan's podcast is because of seeing the rewards that women were given just because they had hot bodies by putting no work it seems. Overall, hate me if you will and refute me if you want but this was just my perspective and I believe some men of my age felt the same way...
@benjaminxiong553 my love, if women are really rewarded for their bodies they are done so by men, not women. Women are not subscribing to OF and commenting insta fire emojis. If you feel undervalued just due to the fact you cannot make money from your body, unfortunately your own sex set up that system and did that to you. Many men were taught from a young age that sex is the only way to access intimacy, they were taught what to find sexy, they were taught the ultimate status system is a hot chick on your arm. You need to go a level deeper in your critical thinking here. You need to read history, you need to see how men have been taught to see women as objects. Even if a few (and, it is a few, not most) women cash in on that, it doesn't mean that isn't dehumanising. Good luck dude. Also as an add on: yes I absolutely feel bad for the men who were not taught the tools to connect on an intimate platonic level. But they have to teach themselves now. If they start on the path, a lot of us are here to take it with ya'll, but there has to be commitment to unlearning/relearning.
@@benjaminxiong553 But isn't that cis het men who are paying for these Onlyf*ns subscriptions? It's the same argument that some conservative men make when it comes to sexual assault on women. "If she didn't dress so revealing, it wouldn't have happened." I think there's a lack of accountability when it comes to men and how to process our emotions, especially with this new generation. You're being raised on "alpha male" podcasters who are telling you that women are the enemy . I know it's not as simple as saying to find better role models, especially when this space is dominated by right wing figures, but I'd advise young men to break out of that bubble. Talk to people in a thoughtful manner. Learn to interact in ways that make others feel comfortable around you. But most of all, I'd recommend for young men and boys to take a social media break.
One of the sad things is that, as a woman, I have zero control over this issue. No man will listen to a woman tell them to chill out or to distance themselves from conservatism. It is 100% in the hands of other men. And yet, women are going to be affected by this in ways that we always are.
It’s not in the hands of men either lmfao. This simplification of a problem down to gender is the literal entire issue. Did you quite literally miss the part of women going into the same alt right space? And men do actually warn other men about their thoughts or beliefs… BUT THEYRE GROWN MEN, you can’t tell another person what they’re supposed to think and if you do they’re going to just distance themselves from you. This. Is. Not. A . Gendered. Issue. And a ton of white women voted for trump not just men
despite me agreeing with what you said in your reply to a comment in a SEPERATE thread, i can see why no man would listen to your advice. from what i can see, your problem is you have no tact nor can you empathize. the condescending attitude in your reply isn't helping you or the person you're trying to turn away from conservativism. sometimes its not what you said, its how you said it.
@@aa-kz7hc There was nothing in her comment that was condescending. She didn’t even say anything that extreme, it is what we are facing as women right now whether you want to believe it or not. We should be allowed to talk this way as people, you are too. We want peace, we want freedom, men will not listen to us. As a woman just hearing what men are suddenly saying about us is very disheartening, why would someone listen to a person they think so horribly of? We didn’t choose to be women, you didn’t choose to be a man, yet we have to play with the hand we’ve been dealt. Let’s stop focusing on our differences so much because at the end of the day we are all just people, brothers are sisters alike. You could read my comment as condescending, but my intentions are good. Have a little faith in humanity.
@@aa-kz7hci think you are proving the point. Society isn’t as used to women standing up for themselves like men do, so when women do it, it’s seen as yapping and thus invalidated
I came across an unknown fitness influencer in my recommended giving some muscle building advice, so I was on board. Then he posts a video called _“How to Control a Woman”,_ and I thought 😒 *“Here we go again with the manosphere sh*t. I just wanted tips to gain a couple extra pounds of lean muscle this year, I don’t want to **_CONTROL_** anybody”.* 🙄 Edit: So guys, I watched the "How to Control a Woman” video just now to prove it wasn’t a troll or click bait. It was unironically about “female nature”, telling guys always act like you dgaf, always be stoic, stop giving a girl your attention bc "attention is like crack to females and as soon as you start treating her like a queen, it’s over, she'll take it to to the bank". Never tell her she’s pretty and always keep her chasing YOUR validation not the other way around - he admits that it’s mean but says “that’s reality” and you have to do it. “Don’t give away your leverage”…”chase money not pussy” - it was a red pill video guys 💊 good-looking dude, great physique but he treats relationships like a competitive sport 🏋️ I assume somebody hurt him in the past and dude said "never again", went to the gym to get jacked asf, put up his walls & now treats women like they’re almost nothing. Some girl out there rn is completely oblivious that she's this dude's villain origin story.
Jeff Nippard, Sean Nalewanjy (I think that's how you write it), Mike Israetel, Milo Wolf, More Plates More Dates give really good fitness advice I'd say. And they never strayed from their focus, I don't see any of them ever making statements that like that
The fact that I have seen Gen Z men all over Social Media after the Election genuinely make disgusting comments like "Your Body, My Choice" and "Get back in the Kitchen, bitch" is further proof that we are COOKED as a society and I don't see how we're gonna get out of this phase.
I don't think thats everyone, if anything those are the actual right wing gen z and then there are us normal liberals and centrist's who are now lumped in with the conservatives because the left has gone so far left that they have alienated anyone who wasn't all in on the taking progressivism as far as humanly possible.
I agree. The propaganda is so strong, and it benefits the people in power. I mean, kids in school can't even read now, so I don't know how many of these kids are going to grow up with genuine critical thinking skills.
I think Gen Z as a whole have just been overstimulated by gaining technology since birth and Processing compassion and real world experiences have become so difficult.
This definitely played a part. I'm a Millennial from the 80s and I remember how things like Classic nintendo quality games and movies was a weekly experience that you had to wait for to enjoy and finding ways in between that time is usually the trick. This generation however has access to things I can only dream of as a kid, and some of it I still don't have. The results is a generation who's completely foreign to basic human interactions.
Agreed. GenZ weren't forced to interact with people as much as we(Millennials and older generations). They are living in male weirdo echo chambers. Gen X and Millennials were more exposed to being with the opposite sex/gender which allowed a healthier understanding of one another(of course there were problems but interactions were made daily). School Dances, Clubs, BBQs, Coffe Shops, Pool Parties, Parks etc 3rd places. Gen Z don't have as many 3rd places to mingle as we had, and they were replaced with digital echo chamber places; Gamers, Sports, Social Media, Groups/Chats.
This doesn’t apply to Zillennials (1997-2004) because we had an actual childhood before the early 2010s when technology took over. Everyone after 04 then yes lol
I grew up when internet culture was on the rise but it was still somewhat niche to be very "online." I made myself grow out of the edgy humor of the time because frankly I felt like a mouth breather. Now these mouth breathers are everywhere, and they're voting.
I honestly blame the media. Tiktok has trends and influencers that make many people seem like hiveminds. They don't think for themselves. As a Gen Z, all i can say it that gen z isn't red, blue, green or anything. Most are literally blank slates that soak up any and every trend, and once it dies down, they're back to being those same, blank slates.
This. This 💯 The human brain is being required due to social media and people in charge are just sitting by letting it happen because they don’t let their kids have access to these things. Your attention is the number one thing you have. You attention and will power. And big tech has found a way to sap you of all of it.
as a gay millennial I wish more folks understood this. I made and lost some gen z friends recently, one was actually queer, and the other claimed they were queer but was literally an incel proudboi dating a trans dude because no straight chicks would date him. He was very homophobic and ageist towards me. Just not cool.
Millennial 90s kid here. I honestly think LGBTQ people in your generation have it harder. We may have had to fight through DADT and getting marriage equality but it's easier than ever to hate on people using social media. At least when I was in high school smart phones weren't that common yet and Myspace was the go to. I can't imagine what it's like to have your bullies constantly harassing you 24/7. You've got my respect. Stay safe and keep fighting the good fight.
As a teenager and now as a young man I've had at least a few people (guys and girls) incorrectly assume I gay. I don't take it as an insult at all; quite a few people who've listened to me at my lowest points in have since come out years after the fact. That said, I find it kinda baffling that a quality that seems obvious to other is also so. My sister once sarcastically people assume this about me "because I'm reasonable". After the election, I'm starting to wonder if she wasn't being quite as sarcastic as first thought.
I'm sadly not that surprised, im a 28 year old man, and this is far from a surprise to me. When you have Sneako, Tate, Whatever Podcast, Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson speaking to these men, this is how they have the views they do now. I do hate how Conservatives act like they are tough, macho and masculine tbh.
I mean, if the first duty of a man is to protect his wife and children, why endanger your loved ones with abortion restrictions? It's the total disconnect between the actual women who are loved ones, and women in the abstract that's just eating away at my peers.
@@augusthoglund6053 These men don't have loved ones, and feel society owes them that. It’s so frustrating to watch happen.
@ yes I agree. I am just worried about how much can be done at this point. It’s not like they will be able to provide jobs for these men. They won’t be able to teach social skills when folks can’t afford to eat. When people have no choice but to live in thier mom’s basement and they are the butt of every joke. I think the election is in part, the result of how everyone has been handling incels this whole time and so if they become emboldened and violent under this administration, anything we do will be interpreted as, “oh now that we have power you want to be nice. Now you want to “understand””. I am so so worried about the next four years.
@paolinopaperino8926 But have you woken up all the way or have you woken up to a specific mindset that is being sold to you for profit at your own expense. Our boys are in real danger. Our society has abandoned all of us. Men are just now starting to realize they have been abandoned too. We have a real opportunity to work together to overthrow those who divide us. But it takes genuine connection, open honesty about the problems boys and men face and a real push to find solutions for all of us. And a complete shutdown of villainizing the other side. I am feminist as fuck but I fucking love men. My absolute best friends are men. Society has dropped the ball on everyone who can’t pay to play.
As a Gen Z guy, A lot of my teenage years were miserable and lonely and the red pill was the only place where I found acceptance and answers, Over time I realized my friends and I had stumbled onto the red pill somewhat independently of each other and we realized that we all had the same common experiences. Porn/Video Game addiction, difficulty with approaching women and dealing with our confidence in general. We were so elated by the availability of a "cure" that we didn't notice the poison mixed in, the podcasters and youtubers have on right-wing voices constantly be it Shapiro, JP, Tulsi Gabbard etc. who paint the left in this light of brainwashed people who want to tear down strong people who don't think like them. I think that's what always made me iffy about the statements that were meant to entice people like me. But I still feel like people are predating on men like me
it would be super funny if they had a super “misogynistic” podcaster (that’s pretending) and once they’ve gotten like andrew tate level popular, they start to deconstruct their thinking so maybe a lot of these alt right people can appeal more to no longer thinking bigotry is cool😭

This is because GEN Z is being raised by Gen X. Not entirely Millenials. Gen X is BOOMER LITE. Note: I stand by what I said. Boomers failed to "correct" Millenials so the Gen X people who want Boomer approval are raising Gen Z and Gen Y to be the opposite. Gen Z and Gen Y saw how badly millennials are failing to "save the world" and that they're falling in line with older "wiser" individuals. It's like how when I was a Millenial child, my Gen X cousins fought over my values. My cousin bullied me into voting Red through physical threats. I was only 16 when Obama was voted in. By the time Mitt Romney was up, I had voted for him at 19 just so my cousin would stop the insults. He got what he wanted. He indoctrinated me.

I also love how the smallest of said generations is apparently now responsible for the most recent election results, despite being, you know, the SMALLEST in number. 🙄
I believe Gen Z Men will be one of the most loneliest men we seen of any generation because of right wing pipeline, trump, and Alpha male podcast which gave raise to the 4B movement meaning woman aren't willing to fate men or less likely to because they dont know if they will face aman who sees them as an actaul person or as their property.
90% men who even watch figures like Andrew Tate see women as more than property. You have to realize that these men go to people like Andrew Tate for his masculinity more than anything else, and are far more normal than you think. The 4b is one of the most delusional and nonsensical movements history has ever seen.
I agree, but the sad thing is if gen z dudes are this bad, just wait for gen alpha. They've been eating up this misogyny since birth and a lot of them seem very set on violent right wing action.
As much as I hate the alt-right pipeline and it doesn't help with the loneliness, the heterosexual Gen Z men who aren't in the pipeline are still the lonely regardless. The loneliness of young men isn't exclusively heterosexual either, it really is young men in general who are in trouble.
4B movement didn't just come out of nowhere, and it had nothing to do with America. It started in South Korea in the late 2010s due to various high profile criminal cases like Burning Sun scandal and Nth Room case in the Korean entertainment industry.
Yeah because while some women are willing to let a man lead and provide gen z men are too young or not interested in doing that. They want a submissive woman but in this day and age there’s no point in being submissive because it gets us women nothing.
And that’s why I can’t possibly be their friend. I tried and I failed miserably for that. Now there’s no looking at straight men as normal people for me because I can’t. They’re just gonna be creepers and haters, possibly prejudice.
Absolutely. Having a terrible misogynist (among many other things) as a legitimate candidate, and now the president, makes it okay and normalized to be vocally misogynistic. Why keep those thoughts to yourself when the literal president of the United States sets the example that it’s cool and manly to be disgusting towards women?

Great discussion. I would also say it's not so much just about 'teaching' young boys to respect women but more about having other examples of healthy masculinity and better role models. Younger ppl are just very impressionable and can struggle to see that there are alternatives. So we have to show them.
Cheers to this! Healthy masculinity is so important, this is really the target that needs to be aimed for. There's nothing wrong with being masculine; using it in a productive way that doesn't infringe on the rights of others really isn't that hard.
For sure. They also need ways to prove themselves that are not "getting women". Because that`s where a lot of the frustration comes from, not being able to "get women" and not being able to prove themselves. I noticed that Youth, especially young men are not wanted anywhere. In school they are told to sit still, in the park they are told to not use their skateboards here, in the club you have to pay for entrance, if they manage to get in .. There is little space for them to do anything and even fewer opportunities to develop their skills, be useful, get rid of their energy or be valued for their ideas.
Every alternative they have been shown went against them, the woke constantly telling men they are white trash, having shoved down everything and it destroying and taking over their hobbies too invading their space one might say, this is the natural counter culture from one extreme to another
@@MehgoMeh I feel like the Harris campaign had a stroke a genius in nominating Tim Walz, why? Because Mr. Walz is a career football coach, and coaches often end up being the main male role model in young men's lives, especially if their family situation isn't that good. So often, the reason why struggling teen boys get their grades up and don't drop out is because dropping out means missing out on sports. As a result, coaches have become the main line of defense against teen boys dropping out of school, and we need someone who understands how reengage all the young men dropping out of society, and better yet, someone next in line to the President.

You mentioned white men, but a lot of young black men are getting sucked into conservative stuff too, in some cases even moreso. I'm sure they're more likely to support progressive movements like BLM, but I've also noticed a LOT of young black men increasingly identifying with conservative/patriarchal gender roles. Possibly even more often than young white men do. There's more open homophobia, more aggressive enforcement of gender norms, and more open misogyny in black communities than progressives are willing to admit. A lot of young black men are also very susceptible to conservative beliefs about money. Worshipping billionaires, obsessive focus on earning money with selfish motives, completely buying into conservative ideas of status, etc. I live in an area with a significant black and Latino population, and even though I'm from a liberal state (and even though most black voters vote democrat), I've seen a big increase in anti-immigration beliefs and anti-Latino racist beliefs among black people here.
Mid-late millennial here, just turned 33. We weren’t primed to this filth that GZ boys are at such an early age. Tate and Co are a more recent phenomenon. The internet has been exploited by bigoted disinformation trying to sell things for money and power. And it isn’t only in America or the west.
As a Gen Z political scientist, this shift is not at all surprising to me. Men, especially white men, love to be in predominantly male-dominated spaces(gyms, video games, etc.) In such spaces, they practice their masculinity-- which includes your racism, misogyny/misogynoir, etc. When you are already in that mindset, getting sucked into these pipelines becomes so EASY.
Why does "practicing masculinity" have to include "haha women/black people suck amirite?" I thought the whole ideal of the "ideal man" (the chuck norris or the arnold schwarzeneggers) or the "gigachad" as Gen Z puts it: it was all about exuding your own confidence, being comfortable in your own skin, using your earned body and mind to help elevate others. What happened to all that? When did we regress to some 60's sitcom?
You have no idea what you're talking about, white men are just tired of being told they're the problem in society. They work the same types of underpaying jobs as everyone else and liberal types still call them privileged based solely on their skin color. Then they wonder why those white men move right, towards the people who don't call them privileged
The problem with those who supported the other candidate is that if they really believed in America and its constitution the way their party is saying they do, then their candidate wouldn’t have even been an option. He’s a felon (what happened to no man is above the law) and claims to be a Christian (who has undoubtedly assaulted women and bragged about it). Also let’s note that this party is trying to pass legislation based on a religion that not everyone in this “free” country follows. That whole cult is a joke and don’t even realize they are being pandered too and played. Their vote served an agenda that has nothing to do with them or their interests.

I don't see enough of the comments discussing US Political factions so i'll do it: Are people familiar with the term "Bernie Bro"? It was a derogatory term that DEMOCRATS used to describe Bernie Sanders supporters in 2016 primaries. Bernie was a *left wing Populist* and his supporters were diverse, but he had a large support base among white & latino working class males and male youth (this is now the cohort who votes Trump) - *Joe Rogan, endorsed Bernie for President. I REPEAT, Joe Rogan endorsed Bernie Sanders for President.* But did Dems care about the male vote then? No. *Democrats didn't want a populist,* they wanted the establishment candidate, Hilary Clinton, so they smeared "Bernie Bros" as aggressive, divisive & problematic and drove them away from the party. Hilary ran an establishment campaign against a *Right wing Populist,* Donald Trump, and lost because Democrats hadn't realised that we'd entered a populist era of politics. DEMS HAD young white & latino males, they loved Bernie, but their movement was snuffed out, so now those 'Bernie Bros' vote Trump. Democrats blew it. Those guys aren't coming back, they're republicans now (unless you can offer them a left-wing populist to vote for). Now Gen-Z males are seeing two candidates, a right-wing populist offering economic populism, and a neoliberal offering them more of the same, so they chose the populist, again. Trump's economic populism isn't genuine, so in 4 years time when those guys lives are no better, Democrats need to be READY with a message to swing them back and tell young men that the _real_ issue that's making it harder for them to progress in life, is the corporate class price-gouging every aspect of their lives, and buying up government influence to serve their class rather not the people. A left-wing populist needs to harness men's frustration & anger, and use it to *punch up* at corporations, instead of conservatives harnessing that anger to *punch down* on women, on immigrants, on LGBT and "woke culture". Those groups aren't standing in the way of men living better lives, and never were.
Joe Biden said “Bernie Brothers” I think. Sounds like a coffee shop name. And yes Sanders captured that masculine populism yet the Democrats don’t have any answers now. That group might be the tipping point.
Yeah I heavily doubt that will happen. The DNC is funded by BlackRock and Goldman Sachs. Liz Cheney who endorsed Kamala and was wildly supported by MSM was a member of the Board of Directors for Raytheon. A literally missile making company. Democrats are just money lovers that tolerate socially liberal behavior. Compare what these people thought of gay people 10 years ago and now. Now when it comes to socializing as a man or women in the real world, there is no doubt that it can be challenging to talk to other people, but here is my perspective on the matter for u or anyone who wants to get to know others outthere, u r a person with inheret value like all people, u have dreams, hopes and fears within u, it is very important that u know that our feelings are the best teachers at helping us understand how we engage with the world and grow as a person with a sound mind and emotional intelligence to connect with others. Being vulnerable is essential to the human experience, opening ur heart to those u trust is something that is more valuable than gold. I do must warn that it can be a gamble at times because u probably fear like all people on this earth (me included 🥸) to expose my heart and get hurt by someone who invalidates my feelings, or that the person in question does not understand where r u coming from or the fear to expose my heart to someone who uses that vulnerability to manipulate me, when that happens, people tend to either shut down others, or better yet you learn that not all people will do this to you and that trust is something that u give in order to receive. One should perhaps look into having friendships with people of the opposite gender for the sake of having a genuine platonic friendship, one that does not rely on tricks to acquire a romantic partner, u do not want to perform a role of a character that some misguided fellows have pushed as the ideal way to be a man, to be a man is to be just a person, just like being a women is just being a person, people are individuals that have their own perspectives and complexities, be ur self, because the moment u start acting a “part” that part gets exhausting and it falls apart, it hurts u and others. just be genuine legit normal and approach people with a genuine sense of curiosity for who they are, u can learn a lot about others and learn a lot about urself when u listen to others, and be friends for the sake of being friends based on common hobbys like games or movies, things that are fun to share, establish friendships with people to be friends, not to establish romantic relationships. If u happen to like someone and that person has the same feelings then great! If not then please dont take it personally and demonize that person, it hurts I know but u will realize that its gonna be okay and must be open to sadness, it will help you explore things that you might not had considered and be ready to open ur heart to the joys of life. To be happy can feel unrealistic, I prefer to be content, because I know the world isn’t perfect, but sometimes we need cloudy days to appreciate sunny days, please take this words into consideration and dont be afraid to fail, its part of the human condition, it only makes us better at understanding ourselves and others, u r not alone and hope that we make it well in the next 4 years, I worry for women in this current state of affairs, and I worry that boys and man listen to man who have some deep rooted issues that they haven’t addressed, to then exploit other boys and man who would do much better in life without their advice, please I don’t want u to think that man are evil or anything, on the contrary, I wanna bridge this gap alongside man and women in this lifetime that we have, we must respect our and others complexity as people, and overcome the challenges that we currently face. Please don’t fall for the idea of what is to be a man by these people, listen to ur heart and know that there is a person with a personality of his own that will challenge the idea that u need to fit into a mold or neat square to be something that feels more like a performance instead of personhood, best regards and hope that more people find inner peace within 🫶✨

Right!!! Because the ones I know are immature edge lords who think racism, homophobia, misogyny and transphobia are funny. Basically a generation of incels who are obsessed with the hub and vicariously living their lives through these rich degenerates.
Progressives, mostly white progressives, because Gen Z men are populists. At least, that's what I keep hearing online from many white progressives. What do I know! I'm a 65-year-old black woman.
It takes a man until about age 27 or 28 to grow up. I am a millenial and I had to have lots of hard conversations with men in my youth to educate them and now some of these men are pretty great feminists because I put in a lot of work. Not sure how 4B is going to impact that...
im afab and nonbinary and the thing about fitness is so true, i've always been a pretty weak person and i hate being weak so i've been trying to do more to make myself stronger and increase my stamina but since i dont know where to start on my own, i watch youtube videos for help (of both men and women) and sometimes when i watch videos of women working out or showing exercises, there are comments from men saying things like "don't listen to this woman, she doesn't know what she's talking about" or "she's just videoing in the gym to try and catch guys 'looking at her' so she can yell at them" (and i'm not saying this doesn't happen, because it does and it's disgusting and needs to stop) or just anything on the line to discredit this woman who's just earnestly trying to help people or show her routine. the anonymity tied to the internet makes some of these people way too confident about disrespecting others and feeling like that is something perfectly acceptable to do, but it's much worse when someone actually comes up to your face and discredits you just because of your sex. luckily i've never run into people like this at the gym in the few months i've been going but it does upset me to know they exist.

Gay conservative men are simultaneously the most hilarious and confusing people-- you can't help but laugh when they talk 😭 They can practice conservativism all they want but... I don't think the conservatives are ready to start TRULY accepting LGBTQ+ people.
ways the enemy for you for me for you bother and your sister it was your mom’s enemy AND your dads.. a male will forever be the problem. May all these young boys be treated the ABSOLUTE worst in all decades 🙏🏼 AMEN.
To offer an opinion, I think most young males and their insecurities are being preyed upon, and their role models are people who are rich enough to be disrespectful to women and be fine. Young men lack positive leadership, and all they’re told on social media is that they have to get fit and make money in order to receive any attention from a woman. I don’t think it’s fair to see those young men as villains…they’re victims and we all need to find a way to uplift them and motivate them to want to do better.
Also, what you need to keep in mind, they don't offer actual solutions of working on your inner problems, if they would, the fanbase they need to entertain for their growth would go away. It's their strategy to keep the watchers as miserable and hateful as possible to generate more clicks. Those people don't realize they are being manipulated.
and unfortunately nobody gives a damn. i saw a video about a men suic*de awareness meeting, it got cancelled bc "men don't deserve help" (along those lines). its damn you do, damn you don't. then you have these alpha bros that come in over and offer an alternative. guess what? you now have young men being told to be assholes bc people who don't care about you care about you more then others who just don't care about u.
As if young men are the only ones who voted for him? What about white women? Dude you all are the same, picking a group to hate on. God. You all are awful. He won the popular vote. Stop hating on young men. People in this comment section just want to hate a specific group and go back to sleep as if they fully assessed why the party they voted for lost. God. You all just want an outlet. This is an echo chamber. And nobody here will be called out for misandry. Women on tiktok also have shown hate for men, why are you acting as if it's only young men in this sex war.
Yes but it’s hard to do that. A lot of women will empithize with these men and tell them what you’re saying only to be shut down with misogyny. It’s hard not to see them as villains when they hurt you even when you’re trying to help them. It’s invalidating to victims of these preyed upon boys
It's all the misinformation spreading. In my younger days I was a radical left winger believing all kinds of conspiracies. When you're young, you think you know it all . And, when there a bunch of people saying the same thing, it validates your beliefs. One thing that has been lacking in the past decade is a lack of proper male role models.
I truly do not understand how young men can lead with a mind so driven by hate and putting others down. Why can't we think with empathy, being happy for others, and lifting each other up first? It's truly upsetting to see older and younger Gen Z around my age act so horribly.
Ever think that maybe they want to see the world succeed just like you do? Just because they have different views than you do doesn’t mean it’s driven by hate.
Its because it's not by hate , most of the people who give advice or talk about direct issues they need help in like fitness., business, work behavior, mental health and basically other things for men are right wing or center right because only right wingers are willing to talk about it
@@iPancake3how are they forcing others to suffer , is it because they didn't vote for Harris, everyone can vote aside from black women other women in mass voted more for trump if you wanted Harris to win why didn't you court more voters
Young men from teens to young adulthood are vilified by the left, even when they do nothing wrong. Now that they vote the right, because they're the one that accepted them you ask for their empathy? This is a 2 way street, to gain empathy you ahould give them empathy also...
Tons of common Gen Z slang originated from incel culture. Sigma, looksmaxxing, etc. We're getting to a point where incel culture and general internet culture are indistinguishable, partly because people are spending too much time on the internet and not out in the world. I have to be real... the more I get out and don't do things on my phone, the happier I am and the more successful I am, and every stage of my life correlates perfectly with this. Some studies show fear and anger as the driving factors for conservative beliefs, and what makes you more scared and angry than hanging around at home scrolling social media? Unfortunately, it all correlates.
Given the extreme left leaning bias in academia, and the already extreme difficulty of doing sociological studies in a robust, replicable way, I'd take studies looking at any "X political group" with a pinch of salt
I would be interested to see how people between the ages of 22-28 (Older gen z) voted vs how anyone under 22 or new voters in the election. This was my third presidential election voting and I was sick of seeing Trump on the ballot for the third time.
I'm 23 and I actually didn't vote but I would have voted for Trump but I'm not a conservative, if anything I'm more like a 2010 progressive. Now before I get into the reason as to why I would have voted for Trump a little back story, unlike my piers I was never into social media or being social in general because I was more into video games and learning about tech and history and generally that still stands. I really only ever use social media for the memes and communication with what friends and family I do have. I generally do not care about social issues cause I just see people for what they are...people and no law, movement, or podcast is gonna change that. So what makes me say Trump is the correct choice for president is simple, I've seen the brain rot my generation lives off of and what it has done to our society now excuse my french but we got a lot more fucking problems in this country that are bigger than the fucking orange man who wants to fix them or the meaningless and endless social issues that everyone just hyper focuses on which just creates chaos.
@@justicegaminginc You not caring about “social issues” as if they don’t affect people lets me know that you live in your own bubble, probably some rural boonie town at that. Yeah I hate this f*cking timeline.
@@justicegaminginc interesting take that you don’t think social issues are important. They definitely are important and impact a lot of people’s lives and I think a general lack of empathy and connection is what has caused this problem which has been heightened by social media. Sorry to burst your bubble but things may get worse under Trump especially if tariffs are imposed a new PS5 and other gaming consoles could cost up to $1,000. So keep that in mind if you still feel like Trump was the better choice in few years.
@@samanthakeegan2157 I have a gaming PC, it has a solid 10 years before it needs any serious upgrades, and I don't care about consoles. The tariffs will be followed by a big manufacturing boom because the point of the tariffs is to incentivize American companies to manufacture their products here instead of offshoring everything which in turn will cause deflation meaning more bang for your buck. On top of the manufacturing boom we will also be drilling our own oil which yeah sure say what you want about the problems but reality is we use oil for lots of things not just cars, go around your house and look at all the plastic we use, plastic is made from oil and so are some other really amazing things. Could we live without oil? Sure but what does it require? Full commitment to nuclear energy which no one will give because Chernobyl has everyone scared shitless even decades later. But anyway the drilling of oil will also contribute to deflation, the whole point of Trumps economic changes is to reduce our national debt which at this point we only really can force a manufacturing boom and drill oil to do because we are already over taxed.
As a gen z white man who plays video games, I have observed first hand how it is a majority of men largely uneducated that purport what they hear in podcasts because it’s a safe space for them. I and other men like me need to do a better job of calling out hate and bigotry when we see it, because we are allowing it to fester right under our noses.

You might need to form an educated buddy enlistment system kinda like military so that way you're not rocking against bigotry solo dolo lol. I only say that because when these dudes get fed up they do follow up w/dumb @$$ violence & threats. The world can not be safe w/uneducated & misogynistic men being the only existing men left to pass on half of their genes e.g. Khmer Rouge. That to me is a scary thought. Anywho, good luck young blood & keep your head up!
video games are a safe space for men. the problem is when people are accepted into that community...and they immediately try to change and police men to be more like them...without realizing they need their own spaces. it would do people a lot of good to be accepting and understanding of all viewpoints, even if its from a white man.(obviously not including racism and sexism)

Now I can finally experience a presidential election without this hateful man that is so under qualified to run a mcdonald's, let alone a whole country. And then they announced he would yet again be running for this year. And with some more experience under my belt, I had this sinking feeling in my gut it was going to be a repeat of 2016. I felt the tide shifting back, but tried so hard to be hopeful and fight against it...I don't know if it was worse being blindsided, or knowing it was coming and I couldn't change it no matter how much I fought.

I think that focusing on identity is still mistaken. It's not that it isn't a factor at all, but the biggest difference between voters is the socioeconomic class they fell into. The middle class, non-college educated overwhelmingly voted for Trump because the Democrats have completely failed to convince them that they are represented and that their economic concerns are being addressed. As a woman, I do not necessarily think that we need to compromise nor make any changes to make men feel more included. If they feel targeted by our left-leaning views, often beliefs of simply basic human rights and equality for all, perhaps they should be the ones to sit on this and think about it and change themselves. Throughout history, women have been required to adjust to their ideals, not to mention of literally being their property. I think you mentioned this at some point in your video, but men are losing the roles and grip they have had within our society and world in general. They feel threatened by having to work harder and noticing that women and others do not just blindly follow them anymore - it makes them scared. As we know, being scared may result in many different responses, one of them being anger. Unfortunately, not having the right emotional nor mental upbringing or capacity (as in not being taught so) makes them act it out in such drastic ways. One thing I do not understand is how can people find equality and equity for all to not be the norm or priority? How on earth did we in the 21st century have gone so backward, holding such radical and extreme views, diminishing racial, ethinic and other minority groups? I forgot to add - I enjoyed the video a lot! It is a good conversation to have! All the best
I agree. Why do we have to coddle men into caring about our human rights? We should not have to tiptoe around and say "But the patriarchy has negative effects on men too" (which is true) to get men to care about women's rights. The fact that women are people who are suffering because of it should be enough in of itself. I'm tired of trying to convince men to care when we're just as human as they are. If they feel targeted, it's probably because they're doing something wrong and they should be able to look at themselves and at least try to correct their behavior. People LOVE to claim that the left doesn't do anything for men, but that's simply not true. Unions and proper wages would do a lot for men, discouraging toxic masculinity as a mindset is helpful to men, class equality would help men, and so on. The only difference is that the right offers men SUPERIORITY over other groups, and many have decided that they want to punch down instead of having true equality.
I was personally raised to believe if I don't work hard enough to kick every man's ass under patriarchy, I won't stand a chance. Men were raised to believe success will be distributed to them if they check off some boxes of mediocrity. They can either accept they created a world where you have to kick every man's ass to rise to the top, or they can enjoy the place they put themselves in. We have no power to change any of this. A misogynist won't even hear a word I have to say.

Feminism was wild after MeToo. Andrew Tate's comments on women are disgusting, obviously, but like 7 years ago hashtags like "Kill All Men" or "Men Are Trash" were all over social media. I'm a woman myself, and I had to stop visting some left-leaning forums I loved because I was getting too exhausted of the constant misandry and hate. And let's remember, this was all pushed by young women more than anyone else. So honestly, imo it shouldn't surprise anyone men who grew up with classmates and potential girlfriends who think like that to gravitate to the exact opposite. Young men wanted their own movement that told them their lives are trash and that the opposite sex is pure evil. It's their disdain of feminism what probably lured those boys in the first place.
Imagine barely making enough for rent, groceries and electricity, having to pay rent at exhorbitant markups because getting a house is impossible unless you want to pay a mortgage for the rest of your life and then going on social media for your time off and being told that you're somehow evil or bad for existing. That's what it feels like being a young Gen Z man trying to live by yourself, you barely get by with the state of the economy or you don't even get hired because workplaces discriminate based on age and don't want to hire you because you're "too inexperienced" (they are allowed to do that since the law against age discrimination only applies to older ages and not younger ones, and even then the companies can just lie) you need to do several internships to even be considered for an interview even if you have a college degree and then you get back to a life of maybe having 1-5 friends at most and not having any meaningful interactions with the opposite gender because of social media and movements that have demonized you for just existing. Now, I will say, that my life has noticeably improved after I removed Twitter, Instagram and TikTok from the equation as most of the toxicity (just in general) is localized there, almost on the verge of finishing my studies for good and have done several internships to finally get interviews going. That's quite a bump from me wanting to off myself because I was too short, too fat, etc...

I think the part that gets me is that these role models teach young men that everything is about them even when it isn't. Every single thing women do is about them and not about enjoying modern freedoms. While men are the ones demanding attention, thinking they are entitled to women's bodies. You don't get to be upset that for the first time women can respond by safely making a profit off of the men obsessing over and sexualizing them.
@@addorsubtract650They just simply don't get it. If they are all about "gender equality", they wouldn't even be demonizing men for being men. It's ridiculous that they usually think that men feel "entitled" towards women bodies. It's not even about that. Men are just criticized for not apparently reaching the gender ideal. Men are expected to be tall, having a chiseled face, and having money to the point that if one fails to have any of these traits, one is just not treated right at all. I am tired of being looked down upon for being short. If they care so much about gender equality, they should treat men with feminine features with respect. Fragile men who don't have skills or qualifications needing to hold up a system that privileges them so they can stay at the top of the hierarchy and if they don't get it they just oppress someone else more until they stomp on enough heads to get back to the top of the hierarchy that also oppresses them because you can't get to the top unless you are rich too.
I’m not at all surprised that Gen Z is much more conservative. If anything I’ve seen a very puritanical approach to entertainment, lifestyle and culture.
@skylerloggins4902 I don't really think so. I think we're seeing America failing in front of our eyes. We have a massive uneducated, lonely, and angry population and that makes them susceptible to propaganda.
Also, factor in the countries that practice abortion based on sex. A lot of baby girls were aborted simply for being female in societies that prefer sons. That also greatly skews the M-F ratio meaning that 1) there aren't enough straight women to marry straight men, 2) the redpill behaviour taking hold of young men may mean they aren't eligble bachelors for most straight women because no one wants to get themselves invovled with a partner who hates them with such fevour. This trend here is making men unmarriagble & women are sick & tired of having to deal with the fallout of the consquences. Redpillers will have adapt & resolve their issues or die out at some point because women will not the extra emotional & mental labour to coddle them & teach them empathy.
Literally years ago I told people we needed to engage with the ‘incell’ community, because leaving them in their own was not going to go well. I said it would radicalize them, push them away from others, and lead to built-up resentment against groups that were pushing them away, especially in the left. Welp, it’s been about 4 years since I started pushing that, and now we see exactly what I was worried about playing out. These groups of people can now vote, and who do you think they are voting for? Certainly not the people they remember espousing inclusivity but then telling these men that they were the problem. If you ignore groups of people like that, they don’t just disappear. Hopefully we’ve learned our lesson on this, although I really doubt we have. This isn’t even me trying to “I told you so” anyone, at this point I’m just screaming into the void, frustrated that I completely called it.
To Hasan's tweet As a man, i have been able to avoid the right wing pipeline with absolute ease. It's easy to get through life when you think for yourself and surround yourself with enriching people. Empathy is easy
always remember, empathy is mostly taught, mostly innate. you can condition a person out of feeling empathy just as you could condition someone to feel it. the issue is theres a lot of voices out there that target young and vulnurable men. men who havent quite grown and matured. this is why for the right to thrive they must indoctrinate the young. its why I myself was so easy to fall down the nazi pipeline, why when i got older it was easier to recognize my views and contextualize them as monsterous. i was able to look back at everything i believed as a kid and recognize the true reason I felt like i was being held back was all of these issues my viewpoints caused (isolation, Hate, anger issues, difficulty talking to women etc). effectively it causes these issues and points the finger at a minority for the blame and spends the rest of the time ensuring you dont have the smarts or will to critically think. While I agree empathy is easy, theres a large business on making it not so easy. theres a large business that thrives on clouding your eyes with propaganda, preventing you from doing so.
@@collinp.9891what got you out of those beliefs and back to a point to consider them monstrous? obviously removing yourself from the immediate influences and reflection, but did people around you encourage you to do so or was it more self-driven? i've had a more progressive bubble so while i know pipelines to such extreme views exist, its still hard to productively intervene. i dont expect you personally to know how to get everyone out of those views but any insight is helpful.
@shyc0sis from personal experience id have to say that just leaving the bubble i was in and realizing that the people who i was told to blindly hate shared more in common with me than I had even thought to believe. Realizing that these people were human and like me in many ways was what broke it. Id went homeless when i was 18 and was taken into a squat house by a bunch of anarchists. We lived communally, bike rides with empty jugs and water keys to places with exposed faucets, dumpster diving for food and taking what we could. While i was in many ways the exact opposite of these people. Living with them singing by a fire and playing music. When what i believed to be the enemy took me in and showed me unbelievable kindness i was told they were incapable of i stopped and had quite the earth shattering revelation. Got to talking about politics as you do, and really listenend for the first time in my life to what someone else had to say and didnt immediately write it off. Its not hard to imagine people go facist for many reasons but often times theyre normal people, your neighbors, friends, family. Often times these people are your community. You tie yourself to it. Your very identity becomes what you believe in a sense. Often times its because its all you know and the ideology itself reinforces never leaving. I hope that insight helped, to summarize i believe being showed genuine kindness is what got me out of the pipeline.
This makes me so sad, I am so sorry on the behalf of Gen Z. I am part of that Generation but I am so progressive and can not understand not being. I am so dissapointed in us.
It’s fine. We saw where your way of doing things took us. Keep being disappointed while we fix your mess. Your opinion doesn’t matter after what you’ve done.
this is true, bad-actors will say Democrats are "too woke" and alienated men, but the left shouldn't think they have to throw marginalised communities under the bus now to get young men back. Young men are also a very unreliable voter base. That's why pundits thought Trump's 'bro-vote' strategy was risky.
Also don't underestimate guys just wanting to throw shade and troll. A lot of what's happening is the shitpostification of politics, which Trump excels in.
Exactly many don't follow politics. They just follow whatever ridiculous stuff he does because it's funny or different to them. Their not taking the time to actually see how his policies will effect them later on. It's all click bait, eye grabbing material that Trump does that makes them lean towards him more
The problem with all these "solutions" is that they all seem extremely forced. It's not "how can we be better and more accepting/helpful to men" and instead "how can we convince men to vote for us". They're not making male-focused left-leaning podcasts and entertainment because they genuinely care and empathize, they're doing it because they can't afford to do nothing.
I think it’s because women have been empathetic and patient for lifetimes now, tiptoeing on eggshells to make accountability for patriarchy more palatable to men, has become exhausting.

You have the left telling young men they don’t matter and the right telling them they do matter. Doesn’t take a genius to see why young men are going conservative.
Yea true, the left literally blame everything on men thus that feeling of unwanted and hatred from the left cause them to fleet away to the right and here we are now. A shit hole from a never ending cultural war between left and right
The amount of people I’ve seen on Twitter saying “Men are Trash” and “Kill All Men” is disturbing. I don’t understand what their endgame is. If you want men to vote with you why say you want them dead? Either you want to win or spew hate towards men, but you can’t have both.
BUT as long as males exist you won’t ever get that 😕 sorry but the males are here to drive you to the end, make you extremely lonely and hate the gender that birthed you LMAO :(
I love it. It’s a great actionable way to actually address gen z men instead of doing the blame game and not advancing in the next 4 years. It’s time to stop doing the blame game and start working towards addressing young gen z men as a Democratic Party.
Won’t go anywhere, because Iėftism inherently doesn’t speak to men’s desires or motives. It’s why it always seeks to beat them down every time it’s applied. No serious man looks at a Iėftist and says “yup, that’s what I want to be”. Shocker. When you belittle half the population for so long, it becomes difficult to know what appeals to them.
It's a bit complicated for the younger generation. I'm a 26 year-old gay, 1st gen. latino, with my parents being from El Salvador and Guatemala. I'm more of a center-left type, I am somewhat religious, and don't personally care for modern the social justice movement, even though I am more of a liberal. I know a lot of young Latino men in their 20s who are just like me, and many like Trump. They are not bothered about me being gay at all, and all have gay family members. But they don't like the obsession with identity politics on either side. Most aint even religious, and don't care whether or not there is prayer in school. And they are the children of immigrants too. Non-white, not homophobic and non-religious. And Trump got 80% of their votes.
I've been thinking about other countries to move to if America falls apart, and some examples of awful relations between young people sadly include a lot of other countries. One major example is Korea. Another is Japan. And it all seems to stem from sexually frustrated men.
And that is all the patriarchy. Again men being taught that theyre meant to be leading and fathers, ceos, bosses. But that if they dont attain that theyre basically worthless. Like, these men worldwide have nothing else to look forward to but video games. I dont wanna rant but yall hit it right on target and i think a lot of the recent essays not discussing this anymore.@jamieohjamie
@@jamieohjamie sexual frustration is a big part of it but there are gay, young men who are also very conservative. I think it's insecurity and lack of belonging in many cases
It holds up very well to Western men tho. You underestimate how much American content the West consumes. There is not a single European that doesn't know who Andrew Tate is. A lot of the countries in Europe do not have strong entertainment industries or a lot of their own content so they consume mostly American content. I am from the Balkans and can first-handedly tell you how much irreversible damage Andrew Tate and the manosphere have done to the young men that were already conservative but now have been radicalized even further right. After Andrew started getting popular it led to a huge wave of toxic Balkan influencers that were inspired by him and it basically led to the same thing that is happening in the US - the anymosity between young women and men. As if it wasn't bad enough before...
I stopped red pill the second a very conservative buddy of mine shared a nude of his girl with hickeys all over her chest and breasts in a discord and everyone else was just laughing. I was disgusted and uncomfortable and I knew at that point I was done. In some ways I can see why he ended up the way he did. Very conservative dad etc. But at some point you take control of your own life and he chose to be that way. He chose to be a douche bag women user and I was not having any of that. And as someone raised by 3 sisters, it was quite frankly appalling.
As a white man that voted for Kamala, I saw the Trump victory from a mile away. You can’t just demonize a whole group of ppl for 4 years then expect them to be on ur side, granted white ppl have been doing that to minorities for decades, but minority votes tend to skew left while white votes tend to skew right so my point still stands.
I suspect the minority vote especially blacks and Hispanics will continue to move might, take a look at Texas and Florida both states are now safe Republican because of the Hispanic vote. In Georgia Trump flipped majority black counties, in the metro Atlanta area Trump made significant gains among black voters there as well.
The funny part is that they are also the least religious generation, so this is just the impact of social media and lack of interpersonal communication.
Having conservative beliefs is not bad. Having liberal beliefs is not wrong. Having extreme liberal or conservative beliefs is bad.. usually leads to cult like ideas. Look at the meltdowns on social media. I look at some of these people, and l refuse to believe that they exist.
Exactly what I've been saying! About 95% percent of politics nowadays is just extremists on the left and right battling for supremacy, and it's so tiring when both sides act like goddamn 5 years old you lost at a game of hot potato
yes but who decides what are extreme views? many people (worldwide and local)would say there are only 2 genders, but to many in America this would be extreme.

I've accepted my country is forever screwed 🙃 l could give more but that's too much work for a country that ain't even mine lol
I want to point out that just because someone is conservative, it doesn’t means they’re automatically racists or sexists. Democrats can be equally racists and sexists, just in reverse. Being traditional doesn’t means you need to be prejudice towards people. That’s a trait that every side has and is on an individual level. Also, while I do disagree on randomly discriminating someone based on their weight, I also think we shouldn’t promote being overweight. Instead we should try to encourage people to strive to becoming healthier. Sometimes people do need tough love for their own good if they’re still choosing unhealthy habits.
Thank you for pointing that out. The whole video it sounded like he was equating conservative and traditionalism with being a bigot, races, etc. And no one in the comments was seeing this. Thank you for seeing that. Mind you I like this creator so I don’t really take it to offense, but I know people watching this will and can subconsciously equate the two
@@CeciliaDjanOfficialI’m one of those conservative gen z men. That’s why I was pointing that out. He has good talking points but some points did sound a little bias.
I dont think it's just Gen Z , I think Americans in general just aren't liberal/left. If you really put the demographics to a map of the US liberals are mostly concentrated in big/major cities. Liberals/leftists and their ideas aren't as popular as they think they are.
This just false. Progressive policies are overwhelming popular in the US even in alot conservative states. The problem is Democrats are horrible at messaging and that's why they lost this election. Also most people live in cities so therefore most people are left-leaning. If Democrats put as much effort into politics as Republicans instead of vote shaming and blaming leftists they would win every election by a landslide.
Gen Z white guy who voted for Harris: The left has to do better when it comes to marketing to men. Focus needs to be on how patriarchal society structures hurt men as well as women. Societal standards can be damaging for everyone, not just women. It’s hard to have community anymore. It’s hard to date, get into, and maintain relationships bc the world is so unstable around you. Republicans offer these young men a feeling of community and comfort. The social justice aspects of the left need to stop relying on “man bad” and rely more on “rich ppl who are making your life less stable and more difficult are bad”
They’re growing up online and forming their opinions from ppl who are telling them how it is. They’re not out there getting experience on their own, because they’re afraid to. They cling on to these internet figures out of fear and those men in return exploit these kids and prey on their fears and insecurities.
I think a big reason why so many young men voted for Donald Trump is the fact that they are nostalgic for a time when life was easier. The unfortunate truth is that many of these guys were children who had not even started puberty when he was first elected in 2016. Many of these people only just started to get politically conscious within the last year and a half. So they don’t remember all the messed up and annoying things that he was doing for four years. I say this because I’ve noticed that older Gen Z still are liberal while young Gen Z are just straight up dumbasses.
Honestly i dont recall living in America in 2016 is a bad country to live in, but fast forward to 2020-2024 America literally just fell off from relevance and ends up being a joke to the world
Nostalgia is the centerpiece of the Republican party. Even during more prosperous times in American history, the right has always branded itself with the message "Remember when things were good? Now things are bad! Vote for us if you want to go back to when things were good!" Republicans promote themselves as the party that will return the people to a more comfortable past, while Democrats promote themselves as the party that points to building a better future. But the future is scary and unknown, whereas the past is comfortable and familiar. We conveniently forget about the bad of the past whereas we can't seem to ever focus on the good of today
I think young people overall are slightly more left wing on average, but when they are right wing, they are extreme with it, while the older conservative men are more moderate.
I'm not surprised with how much people are going to the extreme right nowadays or even just the right in general. I'm definitely not on the far right. I'm a woman who's pro choice, pro legalizing marijuana and pro immigration but I'm also pro second amendment, against illegal immigration and want smaller government. However if you're someone who has even an inkling of a conservative value, you're painted as the bad guy wanting to take people's rights away. When liberal bias social media tells men that they're always the problem, that they need to fix everything that's wrong with the world, that men don't have issues, of course they're gonna go to the side that doesn't tell them that. Men and women all have our own sets of issues and it's not fair to cast one set of gender as the villain just because they're men. Blame the actions of individuals, not a specific group. Not all conservatives are extremists, not all of them think about taking your rights away. We all voted in a way where we hoped the side we voted for would make our country better. These men are the extremists who are tired of being told they're the villains because they're men. Even people during Kamala's campaign noticed that but they realized it too little, too late. People who say extremist shit like this are gross and deserve to be called out, but I'm not surprised this is one of the side effects of so much political discourse.
@@arun8210 Pro marijuana is fine, most of the stuff about it has been demonized, it's less toxic than alcohol. Although there are some risks if it's done often enough or by younger people it's still far less dangerous than what smoking or drinking will do to you in the long term, and if those are legal, then why not the lettuce?
So funny seeing people who just months ago, wore their hatred of men on their sleeve like a badge of honor, now act confused as to why men didn’t show up for them. Poetic.
I agree with many of the points raised in this video, but I think there's an important aspect that needs more attention and that is the fact that not all conservative values or people who lean conservative are motivated by misogyny. I think that the left failing to see that side and calling the conservative demographic misogynistic, racist, etc, turns them away from listening to the left simply bc you have a cookie cutter picture of who they are. We should also recognize that conservative beliefs are about a wide range of issues, not just women or gender dynamics. Reducing conservatism to a single narrative about misogyny oversimplifies a complex set of views and overlooks the diversity of reasons why people hold these beliefs. It’s damaging and separates us both on the left and right. Most people really are centrist and hold both left and right values.
That would've been true like 20 years ago. But with Trump as a representative, and the other monsters that followed, it is absolutely not true that it is about "values". We're trying to prove humanity of multiple minorities. We're arguing over whether some people's lives matter. We have to spend so much time on these things we can't even discuss the real issues of inequality and the giant class gap. It's nuts.
The rights narrative has definitely changed to one of white supremacy although I believe that is what the party has always been trying to conserve while the left is more performative activism with trying to preserve what our society looks like now. if we are arguing over if someone deserves a medical procedure, if someone deserves to get married and to whom, and to get rid of programs, knowledge, and books. it is clear where your morals stand simply from that vote and it is okay for others to feel uncomfortable being around you for that vote.
As I'm seeing others in the comments note, part of the problem here isn't only how alluring the messaging on the Right is from these conservative pundits and creators, but also, how... "mean" the Left can seem at times to some men, especially straight and/or white men. ...Or, at least, that's a part of it. Like, white/straight/male individuals catch a lot of flack pretty casually online. It's been like that for a while now. All the quickness in labeling them "incels" if they don't fall in line, all the "why should we care about men's mental health?" stuff from radfems. It doesn't exactly help in making these men see what good the Left can offer. ...At the same time tho, I gotta say I REALLY do not like this attitude I've seen a lot of fellow younger men tout of "you all were so mean that I HAD to be a misogynist! I had to be racist! it's your fault!". When you account for history and how different groups have been treated, a decade of seeing some people on socmed go "men suck" or whatever pales in comparison to how hard women have had to (still have to) fight for fairer treatment. A decade of some people taking jabs at straight people pales in comparison to the extensive and still present homophobia in our society. And, like, some of the jabs aren't entirely unjustified. Some of the "meanness" from the Left is undue, but I'm fearful that what some of these men want is virtually no criticism at all. And that's a problem... because our society's still dealing with, say, white supremacy, which means you shouldn't just force everyone to tuck away rightful criticisms of that system by masking it with "you must hate white men, don't you?" Or, if you look at the "man or bear" conversation and don't think any further on why some people genuinely answer bear and you take offense to it, that's not great, man. Improvements have to be made, and fast. For all of the infighting that we do on the Left, perhaps we may need to do a little more now, and put people in check when they do that "why should I care about men's mental health" stuff. I'm not saying to coddle men all the way. But maybe be more considerate of how men feel, be less quick to generalize all men when speaking on a negative quality of some. Something has to change, something has to give.
A lot of this is because women who try to help men be better are still marginalized. The left seems more mean because they aren’t tiptoeing on eggshells to shelter men from harsh truths anymore. It’s difficult trying to teach men empathy so slowly and delicately, whereas otherwise they will just see fast change as man hating due to men not being able to digest all this “new” information about how patriarchy plays a part in every aspect of their lives. Exposing how bad a lot of normalized behaviors in men always were feels like women are randomly deciding something is suddenly toxic for men to do/say/think. Questioning such a huge part of your worldview so suddenly sounds accusatory, conspiracy-like, and makes people defensive. Think Dr. Kings methods of slow and steady vs. Malcolm X’s methods of demanding accountability. That’s what feminism today is. Equality feels like oppression to the oppressors because they don’t have the same tolerance to criticism as actual oppression groups, making them snap quicker under less pressure, thinking the world “suddenly” hates them because they are male. In reality, women finally have decided to stop being silent because gender equality is taking too long. I mean everything I say in good faith, and I respect your perspective.
I should say though, overall, I agree with you. I’ll admit I typed out my first response after only reading the first paragraph, and thought it was going to be about men being entitled to empathy without having any for women or something. I’ve seen it a lot so I just assumed. That’s on me, so I apologize. I do think slow and steady makes deconstructing patriarchy much more digestible to men, because if women suddenly stop holding back all the rightful criticism of patriarchal behaviors that are so abundant no one can claim they don’t partake in them (therefore feeling like they are suddenly labeled “villain”), it’s difficult for men to face that all at once without feeling like women just hate men. Really, women are just more passionate about men not hating women and acknowledging all the nitty gritty things in society that are unoticedly misogynistic. I hope that makes sense
A good start would be not being mean to one another when they express any vulnerability or emotion. I can't stop men from doing that, I don't get in any of those spaces.
We resolved it already. The majority went right, aka, the only side of the spectrum that always worked and always will work. Don’t worry. We’ve got your massive mess to fix now.
One of my library classes had an interesting activity. We saw social media profiles that were liberal and conservative. The scary part, they were identical. A couple words were different here and there, but many of the posts were the same and how these profiles were used to provoke the audience looking at them. I blame the censorship of language, books, and certain media, especially in schools. That is the beginning of the end. Once censorship happens, it is easy to approve or spread bad propaganda that supports conservative ideals. I was amazed in the past couple of years how fast conservative views spread. This isn’t new. History repeats itself. The more people try to delete any part of our history, good or bad, they don’t learn from it.
I have to be honest as a parent of a Gen Alpha. The type of content that is filtered to him online is frightening. He is not allowed to watch RUclips. He can’t be on any social media because whenever we have allowed it his RUclips videos have prager u or turning point USA ads or the TikTok‘s that are getting pushed are racist homophobic or sexist. He is 10 years old and I completely understand how impressionable he is so we have cut out these factors from his life. I cannot figure out why this type of content is being filtered to young boys It scares me. The worst part about the content being filtered to him is this doesn’t come overtime. We’re finding that he would watch RUclips without even being signed into anyone’s profile. or a fresh app he had never been on would still populate the content. We came to the decision as a family that RUclips and TikTok were not a positive influence, even in extreme moderation as we were doing. It has sparked many conversations with him about what kind of human being to be. I can tell you right now. Most people are not watching this close to the content being pushed to their sons. I am begging you to please pay attention.
I think part of the problem is left wing voices casually say all men suck or blame the whole for something where as right voices talk about how bad the male unaliving numbers Left voices never speak in any male issues so it’s not surprising
I can’t speak on what men deal with but I can tell you a lot of people I know (from a small conservative town in MI) don’t care about politics until right before a big election, so they don’t do much -if any- research. I think the wording we use in making or changing laws plays into that, if the research is full of ‘big words you don’t understand’ you’ll get frustrated and give up. And since Don is literally bonkers and does NOT use the official terminology for a lot of stuff, or if he does he doesn’t always have the right context for his word choice. I feel like people want to do ‘research’ by watching debates or rallies (or even worse by TikTok) and do no further looking into what candidates are saying and proposing.
Also just talking to myself, I feel like people vote based on their “dream life” goals and what COULD apply for them maybe one day. I’ve always been a person who looks into what would be most beneficial to the general public rather than just myself. If everyone is doing good then I will be doing good cuz I’m part of EVERYONE - some people care about themselves only and that’s it, maybe others if they like their family
because these men are walking contradictions! They want a traditional wife they say, and become rich af solely to impress women but watch how they will call them gold diggers (what gold?) if a woman would actually want to be a STHM , still demanding 50/50. But 50/50 =/= 50/50 because they will refuse to share the mental load, do domestic labor, raise children together, take care of your sick and elderly equally etc... They tell each other to never be vulnerable with their partners, not even their kids, to never assume the nurturing role because that's not their purpose, that's not manly but then throw a hiss fit if their family treat them like ATMS. misogynistic rhetoric like "women not knowing what they want/being hysterical" are masked calls coming from inside the house. THE BURNING HOUSE
I mean if we explain it to them and they don’t like the explanation!!! Mind u they never give reason to y it’s wrong…then how can we help. There’s a level of responsibility they have to take to break out of their issues but nah, they think everyone else fighting for their survival is the problem
This is unfair and a one sided viewpoint. I am a black male that voted for Kamala and in my opinion this summary is the problem. With social media the majority of men are shitted on and scrutinize and told you feel guilty for shit you never done. Bridge the gap don’t burn it and be as at the people who can’t/wont swim across
That's because you take the responsibility. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the dems do the same. It easier for them to blame voters than reflect on their own mistakes.
That’s kinda wild that Gen Z is more conservative than Millennials. Like we used to say *fucked* up shit when we were kids. The F slur was commonly used in public, it was socially acceptable to hate Arabs, and black jokes were ice breakers.
The 2000’s were quite something. And yes the homophobia, racism, hate of anyone was casually accepted. I’m guessing many since walked back those beliefs.
Men going to the gym is incels and "bro culture"? I'm pretty sure that 10 years ago we would just say "it's great that they're taking care of their health and fitness"
Yeah when they go after some woman rejects them and do it SOLELY to become an “alpha male” that only gets “high value women” and submit to TOXIC gym culture (“men who lift under 225lbs aren’t men, men below 250lbs are small and weak etc) how did the point go completely over your head
My brothers and my kids were not red pilled by RUclips. They were red pilled by watching me, my brother, & my brother-in-law get cheated on and divorced recently. Luckily, they do not seek to control or a manipulate a woman. They went from red pill anger, straight to MGTOW. No women were harmed or insulted for all this. Just avoided respectfully.
I don't know who in their right minds thought Gen Z men were anywhere close to being on the left given their role models are Andrew Tate, Sneako, Aiden Ross, Jake Paul, Fresh and Fit and Joe Rogan.
Real
@@benjaminxiong553isn't it mostly men paying for onlyfans?

Why would we be? It’s led to nothing positive, either for us or our societies.
The person inside you has rights as well. Don't be narcissistic. Don't use abortion as contraception.

The fact that I have seen Gen Z men all over Social Media after the Election genuinely make disgusting comments like "Your Body, My Choice" and "Get back in the Kitchen, bitch" is further proof that we are COOKED as a society and I don't see how we're gonna get out of this phase.

I agree. The propaganda is so strong, and it benefits the people in power. I mean, kids in school can't even read now, so I don't know how many of these kids are going to grow up with genuine critical thinking skills.

We were joking as a collective, and it seems a lot of them ended up internalizing it along the way
I think Gen Z as a whole have just been overstimulated by gaining technology since birth and Processing compassion and real world experiences have become so difficult.
As someone else mentioned, this doesn't apply much to Zilennials. Up until high school, my childhood was mostly outside.
Sad but I can see it.
This. This 💯 The human brain is being required due to social media and people in charge are just sitting by letting it happen because they don’t let their kids have access to these things. Your attention is the number one thing you have. You attention and will power. And big tech has found a way to sap you of all of it.
Yup I can see them all voting blue in 2028 if there are enough people in social media pushing the content
That’s so sad ..
Most don't think, they just follow what's happening in the moment and abandon whatevers not trending or being seen by their friends
As a gay gen z man, I’ve tried to live with compassion in my heart, and, i feel like that’s what these people lack.
Compassion and empathy is all we have, stay strong.

This election let them embrace their disturbing inner thoughts they've had all along

Absolutely. Having a terrible misogynist (among many other things) as a legitimate candidate, and now the president, makes it okay and normalized to be vocally misogynistic.

There is little space for them to do anything and even fewer opportunities to develop their skills, be useful, get rid of their energy or be valued for their ideas.

Probably true, though there's also the Gen Z progressives being too cynical/depressed/unmotivated/distrustful to actually vote.
Iraq and 08 is why
We are. We're by far the most progressive generation.
God you hate men. To actually link masculinity to racism. God you're awful. This is an echo chamber where you all come together to grieve.
Interesting perspective. The entitled groupthink is so specific.
as a person born male, I'm glad I never fell into that bs. and it worries me how many do.
Why does "practicing masculinity" have to include "haha women/black people suck amirite?"
I thought the whole ideal of the "ideal man" (the chuck norris or the arnold schwarzeneggers) or the "gigachad" as Gen Z puts it: it was all about exuding your own confidence, being comfortable in your own skin, using your earned body and mind to help elevate others.

That group might be the tipping point.
preach it brother!
Bernie Bros were also Millenials not Gen-Z.
They are experts at licking their finger and figuring out which way the wind is blowing
Bernie Bros were millennial's. But, you're right the left had young men but the misandry cost them well Gen Z men
As an elder millennial, I'm not surprised. I remember my gen z cousin said a couple of years ago that a lot of gen z males don't know how to navigate to the world in their 20s. He said that they have never grew out of the middle school mindset and alot of them look to these alt right podcasters to get advice on how to be a man.
As a member of gen z, I am embarrassed to say that I am no exception. Like how do adults even socialize? Is it normal for almost everything irl to be locked behind a price tag?
@@aidanjohnson1105 Millennial women here 👋 not gonna say wether our generation was good at socializing or not, from personal experience I can tell you I am mostly a hermit, but I can say that I enjoy my solitude.

Most of those gay conservatives are white and wealthy.

They’ll agree with what you say and then in the same breath it’s right back to dehumanization and vitriol.

Finally someone that gets it!

Yeah, well, it’s curious. When you actively shut down a whole part of society, it can be surprising when you find out you don’t know how they think.

Maybe stop hating men for a change.
To Hasan's tweet
As a man, i have been able to avoid the right wing pipeline with absolute ease.

As a lass this isn’t at all surprising. One side is constantly telling them they suck and the other side is actually talking to them.
Nostalgia is a powerful emotion
I’ve been paying bills since I was 14 when trump was president and it was cheaper then than it is now, it’s not nostalgia

People who say extremist shit like this are gross and deserve to be called out, but I'm not surprised this is one of the side effects of so much political discourse.

im seeing a lot of those extreme people in this comment section. the misandry is apparent(saying this as a WOMAN)
Pro life is okay wtf is pro legalizing marijuana 😮
@@arun8210 common sense
@@arun8210 Pro marijuana is fine, most of the stuff about it has been demonized, it's less toxic than alcohol.
Although there are some risks if it's done often enough or by younger people it's still far less dangerous than what smoking or drinking will do to you in the long term, and if those are legal, then why not the lettuce?
So funny seeing people who just months ago, wore their hatred of men on their sleeve like a badge of honor, now act confused as to why men didn’t show up for them. Poetic.
Lmao true
Just putting it out there, being conservative, doesn’t equate to bigotry, homophobia, etc.
I’m scared y’all

Scared of what, exactly? That the ideology that built everything that works and thrived in the world is making a comeback?
i blame the explosion of short form content over the past 4 years for this. social media has become a radicalization factory for young yt men
As I'm seeing others in the comments note, part of the problem here isn't only how alluring the messaging on the Right is from these conservative pundits and creators, but also, how...
THIS THIS THIS !!!! I wish the whole world could read this. Exactly how ive been feeling but put into words better than I could
Men kind of have to care about their own mental health before we can do anything about it.
A good start would be not being mean to one another when they express any vulnerability or emotion. I can't stop men from doing that, I don't get in any of those spaces.
Sounds like an issue for men to resolve amongst themselves, for those who are non masc enbies or are femmes....🤷🏾♀️ We are tired.
This!!
We resolved it already. The majority went right, aka, the only side of the spectrum that always worked and always will work. Don’t worry. We’ve got your massive mess to fix now.
And been tired oh well
@@alwaysfabulous9965 We did. We went right. The issue is resolved, and things are finally looking better.
Exactly it's our issue and the answer is republicans.. abortion is not my problem..😂😂
I think part of the problem is left wing voices casually say all men suck or blame the whole for something where as right voices talk about how bad the male unaliving numbers
Left voices never speak in any male issues so it’s not surprising
Good point about verbatim: the Dems need to be better at summing up their messaging if they want a chance. Verbose language doesn’t cut it.
If "the patriarchy hurts men too," why do feminists & progressives then ignore and dismiss men's issues?
Because they just hate men.
because these men are walking contradictions!
Because they don't care
What do you consider to be a men's issue?
I dont think we can call it “alt-right” anymore because there’s nothing “alt” about it at this point- its fucking mainstream 😳
Men going to the gym is incels and "bro culture"? I'm pretty sure that 10 years ago we would just say "it's great that they're taking care of their health and fitness"
you missed the point, he explicitly said that that alone is ok and good
Yeah when they go after some woman rejects them and do it SOLELY to become an “alpha male” that only gets “high value women” and submit to TOXIC gym culture (“men who lift under 225lbs aren’t men, men below 250lbs are small and weak etc)
how did the point go completely over your head

My brothers and my kids were not red pilled by RUclips.
They were red pilled by watching me, my brother, & my brother-in-law get cheated on and divorced recently.
Luckily, they do not seek to control or a manipulate a woman. They went from red pill anger, straight to MGTOW.
No women were harmed or insulted for all this. Just avoided respectfully.
