In this video, we install the new Flowmaster Outlaw Series axle-back exhaust on our 2024 Ford Mustang GT with active exhaust. After cutting the stock pipes, we show the full process of removing the factory mufflers and fitting the new Flowmaster system. Once installed, we fire up our 2024 Mustang GT to give you a taste of the deep, aggressive growl this Flowmaster system produces.
The Flowmaster Outlaw axle-back is made from 409 stainless steel with a black ceramic coating. You can expect an increase of up to 17 horsepower and 17 lb-ft of torque over the stock exhaust. A key feature of the Outlaw axle-back is the active exhaust valve system that allows you to switch between a loud, aggressive exhaust note or a quieter mode for neighborhoods. Opening the valves and it simply adds a second exhaust tip opening. This will not change the exhaust note or loudness what so ever. Listen to the sound of the exhaust clip when they change the setting from normal to track mode. The loudness and note stay exactly the same. Ultimately Flowmaster is just deleting the exhaust mode settings YOU PAID FOR! One other thing keep in mind this exhaust WILL introduce a massive amount of drone in the cabin area.

massive drone.........holly shit.. I live in South Korea and looking for axle back exhaust system for S650 mustang without any drone sound. Any suggestion?
It may be hard to tell on camera but it 100% changes the note/loudness of the car. Next time instead of the "normal" exhaust mode, I'll put it in it's "quiet" mode so you can really hear a difference on the video side of things.
No, these do have a quiet mode that shuts the main valve just as on the factory cars and drastically cuts the volume. But I don't understand why they didn't show it. The older videos with Bill had more detail on the sound & driving experience with the exhaust. And for the outlaw active kit, it is impossible to find a good video demonstrating the modes, whether it be s550 or s650.
What I would like to see is a video with the flowmaster x pipe in place with the active, and then see how much the quiet mode cuts it down.
