Condensation in cars is caused either because the driver doesn’t understand the controls, or there is an additional source of water coming into the car. A tip for people is 5 mins before the end of a journey, drive the heat to max, as high as you can stand, then 1 min before they end, open all the windows and let the hot humid air out. That way next time you get in the car you will get less of an issue.
What about rail workers, builders, emergency services etc....... who sit in there vechicles for long periods with the engine off?? Can't wait for your answer to this.... Mr. know it all!
isopropyl alcohol is best to clean the windows, gets rid of all the grease/oily film that helps cause the build up of condensation, grease gives the condensation a base to stick to, so clear the grease and that helps
Thanks for the tip I have a new mg ZS EV and have issues with this I did get this product but put it on when the window was cold so perhaps that what I need to do heat the car first I will try this 😊

Sounds like it's still damp inside the car. The weather is starting to get better now so plenty of circulation, heaters on inside the car to dry it out
For a start, turn the air conditioning on. I see so many cars that are “modern” and I know are standard fitted with a/c. They are carrying kids to school misted up. All because they believe the RUclips mantra that turning the a/c off saves them money….. I rather they spend pennies than crash into me because of their abysmal visibility!
I believed that for a while. I read an article about how a/c need to be ran to keep the pipes from drying out, so it's on all the time. And, as you point out, keeps the windows from fogging up
Yes. The original Rain-X came out as a way of allowing less use of wipers. Story was it was a commercial product based on stuff used on aircraft. Not checked that story.
The best way to dry the interior of a car isn't to run the heater full-on because hot air condenses and creates water on cooler surfaces, the best way is to go for a drive with all four windows down about 2 inches and run the heater at a medium setting, about 22 dgs, this will dry out everything, it is the carpets in your car that cause the most condensation problems if you have thick wool carpets they soak up loads of water from your feet, rubber mats don't create soaks for wet feet,
It´s simple, clean your windows(don´t smoke in the car) at least a couple of times a year and angle the outer vents at the side windows and use the setting for the windscreen and the top vents or auto if you have it. (Sometimes you need to use ac to get rid of fog). There is no magic, just do it right.
Toothpaste works to stop fogging too. You need to use white toothpaste rather than the multi-coloured stuff. I use toothpaste on my dive mask and it never mists up.
