Helpful... I don't have a DS10 but I used a Bittersweet transient and compression from Fab Filter..much much better
Alright that's it. I'm buying it🤑
We can get the same process by tweaking the volume curve of the sample in the addictive drums edit section right? basically shaping a short version of it.
Hi, you can use the volume curve to get a similar effect in Addictive Drums 2 that is correct, however it won't boost the signal as the DS-10 Drum Shaper does.
@@xlnaudio but the compression and distortion will
@@wakeforldmusic You have all the tools you need inside Addictive Drums 2 to get great sounding drums and shape the mix the way you want. DS-10 Drum Shaper comes with unique algorithms, fine tuned for use on snare, kick and/or a full drum mix. It might be possible for you to achieve similar transient shaping results within the AD2 engine, but not as fast or effortlessly - and definitely not as easy to stack and change on the fly.
In DS-10, if you want your drums huge, it’s a 1 second maneuver, and is easy to dial back. And if you need your drums dry and smacking instead, that’s just another twist of a knob away. It all comes down to smooth workflow really.
@@xlnaudio that is true
Also, let's not forget there is a basic version of a transient shaper included in AD2, in addition to editing the envelopes of each kit piece.
Is Sustain the same as Release?
aint this like an spl transient designer?
Yep, yep.
Where's the snare sample from?
