In most videos owners (especially female ones) like to show how much stuff/crap they manage to cram into these tiny houses. This one by comparison, have a very uncluttered and clean look to it. Personally, I like the white walls and the spacey underutilized headroom in there. I wouldn't change or add that much. Just finish the remaining 10-15% left to do.
farbror Frej you have a twisted and terrible view of women.. we are not all like that - and you never know why someone might want more things than another. and if you're a grown-@ss man you should be mature enough to know that not everyone wants a tiny house for the same exact reasons, male *or* female ...shame on you. why was *that* what you *needed* to say after watching the video about this amazing build??
If you have ever been aboard ship as a U.S. Navy member, this place looks like a nice place to live. I lived on the USS Inchon for a few months with a bed that I could not sit strait up in, and a foot locker that was 1 ft. X 1ft. This place is a palace compared to that.
Spent a couple years on the USS Ashtabula AO -51, from 63 - 65. Canvas bottomed bunks 3 high - not enough height to sit up straight, like you said. My locker was the same 1 foot square, but was about 18 inches deep.
there are some seriously ignorant people on youtube, im more amazed each day. this is not a house he lives in!!! its a camper that he built to take places and have fun with and spend a few days in. its nicely built, it looks cool and it does the job.
Who are you to to type up such bullshit? You need to work on your reading comprehension. The comment said that it's not a house HE lives in, you mental midget.
Taps fan LOL easy there, little fella. Sounds like you just came to terms with how profoundly stupid you are. You replied to me but you weren't talking to me? Seriously, just delete your entire youtube account while you're at it, for we are all stupider for having read your comments. Hang in there, buddy.
AWESOME use of space, I can't believe how functional he made the 60 feet. I'm not sure I could live in something that small fulltime, but it'd be a great guest "room" or travel trailer. Kudos!
I am in love with this and I believe this might actually be the one I build for myself. It's so perfect for one and I'm gonna live in it! I will of coarse tweek it a bit to make it my own, but it won't need much. I can't belive it, this is it!
+Tammie Miller thats good to hear ! i love this one too. perfect for one person, or with another close person. seriously, what more does one need other than more useless walking space to get from room to room !
I'm seriously stoked! I've gone tiny 3 times in the last 20 yrs.before it became such a life style. People all said there was no way I could live in the space the last time. They knew nothing! Every single one of them ate their words when it was finished, and wished they were the one living there. HA! This one will blow their minds!
Tammie Miller Hey Tammie, did you follow through with your comments? If so, please post the pics or link to where we can find them, very keen to see how you got on. Cheers.
I'd live in this quite easily. I lived in a 300 sq ft apartment for six years and learned how to get by with little. I know now I could get by with even less. I live now in a four-bedroom tri-level and feel a sense of reverse claustrophobia. I like my walls snuggled tight around me.
hinges on bed should fold the other way. love toilet idea. put a double fold up table on wall under tv for prep/dinning space. this is perfect for 1.... like me.
Cool I have built a teardrop in the past now I have an old travel trailer I was salvaging an didn't know what I wanted to do with the frame. Well I do now thanks for posting.
If you have a killer sense of design and using every freaking ounce of space in your skill set. I'd say go for it. Matter of fact. Learn to weld too. Trailers are over priced. You can get trailer axles at farm supply stores or fab one.
64maxpower huge market, especially among people my age who want to travel, don't have enough money to own a real house and care about the environment....
Fantastic little design. Plenty of storage as well As for that ceiling space area, one thing that could be done is the bed above the bottom bed, fold down like mentioned. Now on the other side, take about half the width of the walkway below it, and about 8-14 inches down from the highest point in the ceiling, create a triangle boxed area from the door side till it hits the ceiling slope. There you have a nice triangle storage area, doesn't take anything away from the ceiling much either.
Where do you park these to live in? I'd love to have one but have no idea where to park it. Do you just ask people to park it in their yards? What do you do for electricty for something mobile like this? I really want one. Great vid!
I lived aboard my 28 foot long Carver express cruiser for a year or so with my cat. This tiny house is way bigger than my living area was on the boat, but the head on the boat was slightly bigger than the bathroom on the tiny house. I bought the boat near Wilmington and we took the ICW, to get back home to RVA. This tiny house looks like it would be more than enough space for me and my cat. I can't say I miss living in that tiny space, but I surely would not mind going back to live in a tiny space if it made sense to do so. It's good to see how many people are doing this in my area. I'm sure I will eventually build or buy one of these when the time is right. These things are killer!
Excellent! I like the floor plan. I built a tiny house on a 6x10 trailer 20 years ago but, your floor plan is much better that what I came up with. (That one is now a garden shed in our backyard ;-). I might have to do it again.
Wow. Just came upon this 7 years after the fact.Greatest compact design I've seen.Would like to see the 100%complete unit. I can think of some simple things that would make it even better and was wondering if he thought of them as well.
A nice, very different kind of design. It's a real challenge making such a small space workable. The stow-away toilet is very cool. Thanks for posting this, Deek!
I have seen this video before and first. WHOA. how many features can you pack in there? Excellent job. A couple suggestions and they are minor to be sure. but also doable so I am going to throw it out there. I would opt for a bar sink instead of what appears to be a bathroom lav. It would be deeper and easier to use. And maybe some more prep space for the kitchen, maybe something that hooks into and pulls down from the wall. I don't know.

A hammock, floor cushions, cooler, porta potti and backpack of clothes may be sufficient. Include a folding shelf for a portable stovetop. Wash items in a basin with a camping shower bag on a hook. If everything is portable, the space remains more spacious and flexible for different activities. Add more windows to enjoy a view.
Very nice and modern design. I will never get the idea of these little porches instead of making the cabin bigger, but i`m not an expert. We live in a 355 sq ft "palace" that fits our needs better, because we have to run part of our business out of our home, so we need a bit more space. But i realy like the craftsmenship and it doesnt look like one of these coffin style tiny homes. Well done. Thumbs up. Greetings from germany.
I think the next step is creating a tiny heat pump that can cool you and/or your food. And heat the hot water or the space. And vents the excess heat. One unit integrated into the structure that wastes only what it absolutely must and performs double duty when needed
the shed could be on the other end in front of the window, on rails so when it's parked it can slide out and be supported by adjustable legs... and then the current shed space can be the shower, and the current shower space can be a cupboard, or the kitchen bigger... also I would prefer a loft sleeping area with a bookcase-stair. Then you can actually have a 'living area' that isn't just the bed.
I'd have put the toilet out on the porch space and take a sponge bath or hook up a solar bag shower outside. You could have gotten some more living space. I'd get one of those coleman camp sinks. But it's fun to see one that small.
To shower, use a camping shower bag on a hook surrounded by a circular shower curtain while standing in a large basin. Use the large basin to wash clothes. Invert the basin and add a cushion for a seat. For privacy, surround a portable composting toilet with a shower curtain.
I recomend Sacajewea by Anna Lee Waldo as an Awesome read. Big book read but, you become every Character in the book it's so well written. You can thank me later for the recomendation . Great Vid.
Rofl. This tiny house has a shower, toilet, and kitchen. It has everything! I wonder does it comes with a king size mattress with the extension. I wouldn't have to live in my parents house anymore. This is GREAT!!! Thank you! Are they rv windows or windows made for a regular, non traveling house? We are making a 5x10 trailer, woth Coroplast, on a small boat trailer...
I have a Relax Shack that I recently purchased for $1200 and I am in love. The man who built it did a very good job. He made the interior very nice, he used rustic wood and corrugated metal on the outside. It has a large porch which is where I spend most of my time just relaxing. It's very therapeutic. My little shack came with a nice size refrigerator, bigger than the one in this video. It also came with a nice stereo cd radio system with remote control and a bracket for a TV (but no TV) I think I could configure mine better, kind of like the one in this video so that I could add a narrow shower/toilet area. I also need a sink for a kitchen area. Mine has a nice counter with a window above it, a short Closet, and a fold down table, plus a cot with a mattress that stores on bicycle hooks on the wall. I think I need to gut mine and redo it like yours in this video. But mine might be a bit smaller than 60 sq ft. I will check when I get home and see. I wish I could share pics of it with you on here.Love your Relax Shack. It gives me so much excitement for mine.
Deek, u've heard of most books, but have you ever read Cabinology: a handbook to your private hideaway by Dale Mulfinger, 2008 Taunton Press, Newtown, CT. What an amazing book of mostly New England small cabins, and much text about cabin lifestyle. not just pretty pictures. I found it in my library and wanted to tell you about it.
This made me think of making a tiny one in my backyard, it would be fun to live in, a good project and learning experience, and I wouldn't use as much electricity in my house as usual.
I'd combine this size with some of the ideas from the "surf shack" with all of the fold down furniture. If you weren't going to drive it around much you could put the storage in bigger sheds on the outside. It's the best of the ultra-micro designs I've seen. Needs insulation for my climate.
8:01 Eye Spy With My Little Eye..something that begins with D Daylight, peeping in through a couple spots, this still needed a bit of a once over to make sure everything's sealed nice and tightly. Granted it was still a work in progress at the time of this video. ;-) Actually this is one of the most clever of the ultra-small micros I have seen, the only things personally for me that dont work are the light fixture right next to the kitchen area (it would be IN my head) so I would put it higher and more directly over the kitchen area for better lighting, and the 24" square shower, (I just wouldn't fit) which would need to be at least 30" or 36" square. Otherwise this is really cool. One of my caveats about ultra small micros is that they often do not have toilet facilities included, relying on the "goodness of others". My basic test is: Where do you poop, at 2am, in a rainstorm? This solves that rather ingeniously with the roll-away composting bog. This could be used for a reasonably long period of time. Q: Whats the heating source? PS: Considered solar PV panels on that rooftop? Seams a natural application.
I LOVE ♥️ the High Quality Design of this model. A few notes from me regarding my preferences. Yes, to extra porch roof. Yes to stable loft, add window up there too. Though I like the living room shelves, I would love to see the ikea style pull out pantry open towards the kitchen and still allow for hanging or shelving clothes. I like the under bed storage but I would like to see the top lift up on struts and have a solid mattress rather than Klicki klack sofa; split mattress in half so not so heavy to lift. Please add window in bathroom. Lastly, on front trailer tongue closet, I would like to see it wider, higher and beveled to cut the wind resistance. Whew!! ....... I hope that helps ♥️🙏🏻
I don't know anything about them myself and being twelve I don't really have enough money to make one..... yet that is but I saw some other videos and deek was showing previews of his book and they had step-by-step instructions along with the price of the materials and the book itself is only about twelve dollars so if your really interested I would start with the book. the book is called humble homes simple shacks and you can find it on amazon. really hope this helps
Expect for the toaster, this could be a tiny home in a kind of Scandinavian design style. I like the open space with white walls, and I would suggest that you try to keep as much as you can to still have that feeling of space. Also, VERY genious idea with the loo on rails! But is there a way to include either a propane tank that could power as well a stowe or a heater or such? And finally .. do you have a fold-up satelite disc on the roof for your bang-azzed TV? :D
I would be interested in having one built and purchasing it. I love it - PERFECT!!!!! I would want to see if you could add the child or single person bed hanging from the wall. How much weight could it hold? Also, how much do you sell these for and I assume they come with the trailer too? How much - I want one!

I've watched 100's of Tiny Home videos. This model, or thought of building 60' or less is the most appealing to me.
I agree! Cozy and comfy yet efficient, I love this, I just wish San Diego had places to put them that did not cost an arm and a leg

Actually this is one of the most clever of the ultra-small micros I have seen, the only things personally for me that dont work are the light fixture right next to the kitchen area (it would be IN my head) so I would put it higher and more directly over the kitchen area for better lighting, and the 24" square shower, (I just wouldn't fit) which would need to be at least 30" or 36" square.
Extra ceiling space could be used for some kind of off grid panel, components
I don't know anything about them myself and being twelve I don't really have enough money to make one..... yet that is but I saw some other videos and deek was showing previews of his book and they had step-by-step instructions along with the price of the materials and the book itself is only about twelve dollars so if your really interested I would start with the book. the book is called humble homes simple shacks and you can find it on amazon. really hope this helps
A great comfortable creation- KISS, remember!
The ultimate cabin fever experience
this would be great for a small community for low income and people in need of housing
Exactly the design I was going to build. Shed roof is the easiest to build and has advantages when towing in wind.
nice trailer,nice design :)
I love this little house
I would like to know what is the cost of one?
Elizabeth Cooper $350
SUGAR JONES where did you get that price? I find it hard to believe hat even without the appliances inside
SUGAR JONES more like $3,000
I bet it is more like $10K including the hitch and the appliances.... !
Ikr! *Counting my dollars*
I always look forward to your videos. I want to build one of these for your next workshop!
Omg it's beautiful it's exactly what I want
Just about as close to perfect for my needs as can be.
that's just great in every tiny way.
Great job. I like it.
great,I like it So much. good Work.
Like that! 👍that guy is very talented in making tiny homes!
great design, beautiful work
The question he I think he was asking, what is the clearance of you Tiny house when you go under an over pass, under a bridge
I would be interested in having one built and purchasing it. I love it - PERFECT!!!!! I would want to see if you could add the child or single person bed hanging from the wall. How much weight could it hold? Also, how much do you sell these for and I assume they come with the trailer too? How much - I want one!
The space next to the bathroom would make a nice closet for long term
