    If you make this DO NOT taste the dough, you will not get any cookies if you do, yes it is that good. I followed the recipe to the letter, I have to say mine turned out differently than yours. They did not spread at all, although they did cook through completely and were browned on the bottom. Not going to lie the no brown sugar and using baking powder instead of soda puzzles me, but our mom's knew their stuff. Thank you for sharing this with us.

      Mine are still not done in the middle after baking longer ( 15minutes @ 350 ). What should I do? If I keep them in longer that will ruin them..?.. Any suggestions? :)

    I just finished making these and had to leave a comment. SO good. This was even the best cookie dough I have ever tasted too. I had a hard time keeping my kids fingers out of the bowl! I cooked cookies at 10 mins just because I prefer my cookies softer than what was shown in the video. Thank you for sharing and the video was well put together.

    I use more brown sugar than granulated. Instead take 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup white tastes good to me.

    Trying now, I'll be back! So excited! :)I I'm back. I really wanted these to work. But, it seems the dough is somewhat not cooked through in the middle even after 15 minutes in the oven at 350 . What's going on?

    • @donfinney138
      @donfinney138 3 года назад +1

      JA , I am sure this is getting to you too late but if they are brown on the bottom they are done . Because of the cream cheese they are very soft until they cool. Almost jiggly which might be why you believe they are not done . If they have not browned then leave them in longer . The cookies are soft even after cooling.

    Why granulated sugar instead of the brown sugar?

    • @donfinney138
      @donfinney138 3 года назад +1

      Aico, that was my grandma’s recipe. Brown sugar would change the flavor completely. You may be onto something though. If you try this let me know.
      Thanks , Don

    Didn't work out for me. All I had was bittersweet chips and it totally overpowered the dough....needed salt IMO as well. Not sure I'd make them with the right kind of chips, the dough had little taste.

      I'm sorry it did not work out for you. You are welcome to modify the recipe but this was my grandmothers and everyone who has had them loves them.
