Mint Chocolate Chip is the best ice cream. That's a given. Much like it's a given that pineapple belongs on pizza. 😏 Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! Part 3 will be released in two weeks (releasing these every other week to allow time to edit). A different topical video will release next Monday in the meantime!
The quality of your videos have gotten so high, it’s incredibly impressive. IMO, Aviation 101 is now the gold standard for what aviation videos can be. There are many other great ones, but to me, you are the best.
As a fellow cancer survivor, I couldn't love this video enough! Although not currently a pilot, I've been wanting to do so for some time now, this has energized me to want to get going ASAP so that someday I can be a part of such an amazing program. Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story, Josh.
As a former 5 year boston resident and new England native. I miss new England in the summer. Thank you for this. I teared up a bit. Thanks Josh and team.
The Art in this seems to be so underappreciated, I cannot thank you enough for the effort you put in these videos and the beautiful shots! Such great videos!
I'm from Germany. I love to remember my couple of weeks in Maine. I helped restoring the L1049 at KEWR when i was still an apprentice in aviation engineering. We were flying on a very warm Spring Day from EDDM/MUC in Germany just to arrive at -20C in KBOS. 3 Weeks later in Lewiston we've been at +15C.Unfortunatley it didnt bear fruits with the L1049. Learned a lot on structural handcrafting. I had some locals there and we've seen Freeport and all the landscape around. I miss that time. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Thanks for reminding me of that lobster.
WOW!!!!! As I am sitting here in Oregon lost in your video and dreaming I could see the beauty your showing, I can't thank you enough for giving the world a glimpse of the beauty that is out there that we can all enjoy!! I completely forgot about the problems of our world for just about 20 minutes thanks to you and your stellar efforts to show us what the world has to offer!! Thanks for all that you do!!!
I've likely lost my flight dream, and may need a liver transplant. I've lost my medical, and likely won't be able to get a special issuance to continue flying. This video is beautiful and heartbreaking to me. I'm not giving up though. These videos help me to keep pursuing it and remind me that the effort is worth it.
@@shawngibson1092 I just looked into it. I may not be able to exercise my commercial privileges, but at least there's some hope that I'll be able to fly for fun.

As a resident of Massachusetts... I am glad you made the trip and had a good time here in New England. Hoping one day, I can start the training to fly....
In the 1990s I lived in Duxbury (just south of where you coasted in on your first leg), so you gave me a lovely view of a place I loved a lot. Only flew power once while there (from Marshfield municipal, which you must have pretty much overflown) but managed a little gliding from Sterling Ma. Thank you so much for this episode. A combination of fantastic shots of places I feel very nostalgic about had me almost in tears. Do my flying from Cornwall in the UK these days - should you get over here, I think you would find the scenery here world class.
It's nearly 28 years since I earned my PPL in Southern NH. I'll give a warm shout out to Jean Hardy who used to own 3B4 Littlebrook airpark just south of Sanford. In all my years of flying Boston controllers regularly impress me as some of the best in the country. Welcome to New England.
I have really been enjoying your videos. They have inspired me to get back current and then I will begin working on my instrument rating. Thanks very much for that! Keep up the awesome job you have been doing!
Thanks (Sheldon) for such a great flight! I live an hour from Mt. Washington in the western Maine mountains. Beautiful area! You should do a winter flight some time. Wonderful scenery. Like your videos, never gets old!
You did it again bud. Another great video that for many of us, give us the motivation to keep on chugging and keep on studying (Im a student pilot getting ready to solo). New England is truly beautiful! Glad you got to see Jaffrey. My wife and I got married at the Jaffrey meetinghouse a couple miles up the road from the airport there.
I’m from Maine but I live in the Austin area now. I’m working on getting my private pilot and my goal is to touchdown at my hometown in Augusta Maine in 2022! Your videos have been super inspiring for me thanks!
@aviation101 Josh, it's fun to see you flying around in my backyard and visiting some of the same places I frequent. Did you have a chance to stop at Nancy's Airfield Cafe? The food is pretty good there. As Noah stated, sunset can be an amazing time for a flight. Shout out to the Boston controllers!!!! #BostonProud

Josh you keep making me add things to my bucket list. More jelly you got two coast to coast flights in before I could even get one. Oh well hopefully next summer I can do my Kitty Hawk coast to coast
Loved both vids so far! Absolutely amazing views with the reflection of the lights on the wing. Im currently one flight away from getting my CFI initial. Im super stoked!
I love the roads in Boston, they don't have the boring grid system like many other large cities in the US. Looks like it could be any large city in the UK. (where I live) and used to fly before it became too expensive.
Looks like an awesome trip! Up till March my musketeer was based in Marshfield Mass KGHG until I moved to Texas and I have flown to all those airports quite a bit! And took my check ride in Sanford. The restaurant at minuteman was my Sunday morning breakfast usually. You need to get up there in the summer and go to Katama on Martha’s Vineyard. Beautiful grass strip straight out of the 40’s with a nice diner/ice cream shop on one end and beach parking for your plane at the other. There’s also a great diner at block island airport. In Nantucket is a nice place in the summer and you can see where the TV show wings was filmed. And then you need to get up there in the winter and do the Alton Bay ice runway. I love flying in New England there are so many good places to go!

My home airport is KSFM Sanford Maine. Great spot. Huge jets pretty often though. Yeah no lobster (or LAWBSTAH as us natives say) around this time. Fred's clam shack is just up the road a piece by the roundabout and they have some great seafood.
