I remember when OoT came out this was just a rumor. There were always kids saying they got it, but never could explain how they got it. Then I got it by accident simply by running around the perimeter of the fishing spot. I had no idea there were 3 locations for it. I just left and re-entered until I got it running the perimeter.
I got it when I was a kid, but it has evaded me every single playthrough since then.

I got it one morning when I was playing before school, I only got 15 minutes with it before I had to go. I left the N64 on but when I got back from school my mom had turned it off!
There are actually quite a few areas in OoT in which "super fairies" (I'm using that name from now on, by the way) may be found. My Versus walkthrough covers them.
I am sure there are several walkthroughs that cover them. Nintendo isn't really known for having a ton of detail in the walkthroughs made by Nintendo.
Well I don't see the comment here that I saw on my notifications tab but I don't see the comment below. But Connor DeMarco. There is a 2nd Deku Nut upgrade you can get as a child after completing the mask trading side-quest if you show the deku scrubs the mask of truth in the lost woods. In the area with the 2 business scrubs and a soft soil locations. You will see a area with some butterflies go down a hole near here. Show the deku scrbs you mask of truth and they will upgrade your deku nuts from 30 to 40 assuming you already got the first deku nut upgrade.
I found the lure when the game first came out, but only once. I was kind of wondering if I imagined it.

I saw your message ConnorDeMarco. To get the sinking lure you need to catch a 15 pound or bigger fish as an adult before it will appear. If you need help with the Hylian Loach let me know. But the only thing you get if you catch it a purple rupee and the fish put in the tank in the fishing pond. I am actually going to be redoing this video as well as my other videos. To get the sinking lure you need to catch a fish that weights at least 15 pounds and get the golden scale before you can get it.
I went in as the wolf howled and got it for the first time since I was a kid. Did not catch any fish pre to this. I got it on the log in the water. But there is no Hylian loach in the pool.

I don't see why not. The 3DS version is suppost to be a copy of this game. And this is in the game. A few random stuff was changed. I talked to somebody who said the Bombchu Bowling has a certain exact order and wasn't random like the original I think. And a picture of Skyward Sword was added somewhere. And the boss replay for the game is new.
What the hell? I’ve found the sinking lure several times and never was there an actual item Link holds up as he finds it. He would just throw his hands up and there would be no item. But an image would show in the item screen....
I still have this on n64 but have been playing the 3ds version and it’s weird how different the graphics are.
Yeah if you talk to him after getting the lure and he doesn't let you use it. It was probably just a false rumor. I have never really tested it. But if you talk to him after getting the sinking lure. Be sure to go through all of his random messages. If he even gives a random message each time. If it is always the same message then it just flat out won't work.
i think this is a big thing people dont believe up to this date. but back when i was little i found it once, and was wondering what it was for. mine i found at the rocks to the wall, where the water comes out.

Getting the sinking lure is automatic. If you can't find it. First try finding it as a kid. Exit the fishing pond. Re enter and check all spots again. Then go to there as an adult and repeat. This usually works for me.

Well try exiting the pond. Re entering the pond and checking all the location again. If you are trying this as an adult. First try to get the lure as a child. Then come back as an adult. Try talking to the fisherman until he says something like a great fisherman never chooses his own lure. After re checking all spots exit and re enter and try them all again.
Where is the fourth location?

Yeah well it is not really that well known. Have you heard of the super faires? I don't know what Nintendo wants to call them because it is not even mentioned in Nintendo's official walkthrough. Not sure about primas guide. Anyways there is on death mountain trail near the flag thing up the hill. Play the Sun's Song. And it will appear. These fairies appear with the Sun's Song of Song of Storms. Play the song where green faries appear in strange locations not near a monster or person.
Does it only work on the original version? I cant find it on the wii game downloaded
It should work on any version of the game. The only other version of the game that has master quest on it is the 3ds though.
@@ZeldaGames852 ok, I have it downloaded on the wii system, I saw that fish once so far but I have trouble finding that sinking lure. I got everything else in the game though

I heard that if you talk to him after getting the Lure, he allows you to use it, but no matter how many times I try, he always penalizes me for using it...
If you see a strange location that isn't one of these fairies play the Scarecrow's Song. These fairies can't be caught in a bottle.

I gave up on believing this was real as a kid. I started playing twighlight princess on an emulator a few days ago and just thought look up if this was real. 24 years old and its blowing my mind. I cant tell you the amount of time i spent in the fishing hole looking for this.

+Kooper Throckmorton The 3DS should be at the same locations. If you can't get it at first I suggest exiting the pond re entering and paying to fish and check all spots again to try to find the Sinking Lure. Also check the annotations in the first minute of video and click the center annotation to view my new videos.
This video is bunch of BS you don't need to go at a certain time. I tired these Instructions. All you really have to do, is first catch a fish at 15 pounds or more and you'll first get the golden scale. Then afterwards, (without leaving the Hut what so ever!) go back to the pond and search near the rocks and little water trail or stand on the log and you'll get the lure guarantee.
I got the sinking lure after getting a 10 pound fish and I found it in the same place as him

Actually those instructions were for catching the Hylian Loach. Which has nothing to do with the 20 pound fish. The hylian loach is much bigger and it looks like a eel. Do google search for catching the Hylian Loach and that is what you will find. The lure doesn't really have any requirement like that but if you read all the text and not part of it. You would know the instructions were for the Hylian Loach.

If you dont want to pay the fine just talk to him when the hats on the hook to give it back to him :l
Also catching a fish with the sinking lure will cause him to label the tank with a cheater logo as its aggainst the rules. To avoid that you talk to him after you find the lure and he will give you the Okay for the lure.
If you give it back to him before you sink it in the water that is what happens. If you are at 0 rupees and don't give it back he won't even let you come back in until you pay something. At least 10 rupees.
