erm... actually, between the timestamps 0:35 and 0:40, there are multiple inconsistencies present within his string bends on the fifteenth fret of the second string
I've never understood this joke, made most famously in "Wayne's World." The longstanding guitar-store joke before that was "Smoke On The Water." "Stairway" is actually fairly hard to play, including the opening chords, so it's not like guitar shops are constantly overrun by people playing it. It doesn't really make any sense.
@@havable The intro isn't super hard (though there is that one chord) but it's hard enough that not a ton of people are playing it in guitar shops. People who are able to play it are able to play lots of things.
I have to agree that during that era of time when it first broke the radio wide-open it was definitely heard a lot. Like when after Jim Croce died, everybody suddenly knew Operator.
I would really like to compliment u on being wise enough to replace most of the bends with slides, to more suitably suit the instrument. Well done, makes it sound much better on the acoustic
Yeah and plus if you bend a heavy gauge acoustic string it will go outa of time or break You can get away bending on the Ernie Balls super slinkies but not on a ,010 Martin 🥴

What a load of bullshit! Stairway is the most famous, most iconic, and the 73 MSG is the best solo of all time. Thats just plain fact. No Sepo loser will come close, and as for Bohemian rhapsody, even Brian has said Stairway is THE solo, the one that inspired more to pick up the guitar than any other. Dream on little ones. Yeah, you’re a very excellent guitar player. I can spot people like you a mile away. I’ve been playing for 51 years. I don’t see a whole lot of difference in an acoustic in an electric only difference is electric hell of a lot easier to fly 71 years old and I have two of them, but I have five acoustics I love guitars. I think they’re super cool instrument. You did a great job on the solo. Have a great day. I play it too. Almost the same way you do it’s beautiful.❤️❤️👍😄🎸🎼🎵🎶🎸

I love how this trope of the "no stairway" bit... It was a joke made famous by wayne's world... i've literally played that song in every single guitar shop. I've ever been to and never had a problem with anyone saying anything. The last time I did it was at palin music center in springfield, missouri, and one of the attendants knowing I was just shopping around for a new amp, and in no way able to afford anything over a 1000 went and handed me a $6000 PRS custom 24 and proceeded to just let me jam. It still cracks me up.How many people believe that is a real thing lol
Love Zep. My all time favorite band and the stairway solo is incredible. But I’d like to see a vote off between that and Gilmore’s solo in Time. That would be a good debate.
I listen to a whole lot of music in most genres. I don’t listen to rap, heavy metal or most classical. To the best of my memory I have never heard this instrumental. I think I would remember it as I really like it. So I’m doubting it is the most famous guitar solo!!!
