I am absolutely heartbroken. He was my hero. He changed my life when I bought Beck Ola because I liked the cover. He was the greatest. I wish you were still here, Jeff. His personality, his character emanated through his fingers and his guitar. Damn, what a travesty. Fu*king meningitis. Thanks mate

Whoever put this playlist together, thank you. You did a really great job. And while promoting the websites of the artists who played with Jeff. Nicely done. I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
Jeff had my heart, my soul, and now my tears. My favorite. Forever. ❤

We have just witnessed the forever unforgiving Fender Stratocaster submitting conquered tamed and mastered...every note and the technicalities that lie between them...Genius.

      Great comment!
Forever unforgiving...you said a mouthful. Not exactly user-friendly, when it comes to the sort of technique that he applies. Only someone with a masterful touch could make it sound as if it were easy.

by far the best guitarist part ever written, and to this day No One guitarist player has come close to covering this, larry carlton and Mike stern do a great job, but that still two people doing what Jeff does without any effort, maybe that's why Jimmy Hendrix love Jeff's playing sop much!😎

I was never really a Jeff Beck fan...until just recently, when I listend to a mix a friend of mine did for Jeff's re-release on an Ultra CD on Mofi's label.......and I just sat their dumbfounded.
And the idiot I am, I thought Larry & Steve wrote The Pump (which I first heard and loved on their album - No Substitutions /2001). Mr. Beck.....you rock! Next time I'll read liner notes more carefully!

Hello, is very interesting what you are saying. I did a small research also related to de "Risky Business soundtracks" and it says that was written by Tony hymas and Simon Phillips, both uncredited, of course performed by Jeff Beck.
In the Steve Lukather CD titled "Luke" he plays this song (The pump) and there indicates that was written by Phillips and Hymas.

In the Larry Carlton & Steve Lukather "No substitution" Cd they play this song and indicates that belongs to Phillips and Hymas.
So, I still believe this song belongs to them. I did not saw this song in the "Blow by Blow" album.

ARMS was my first exposure to Jeff Beck, and he stole the show. Quite the showman, and such a magnificent touch. Surprising how many of his licks here are off-time, or poorly executed; as if he never practices (and possibly he doesn't). And he's *still* one of the best. Note to self: be a bassist instead.
