wood turning branches to sell at craft shows

- This is my best selling item at craft shows. It's a very easy woodturning project and it doesn't take long to make them. I use tree branches that I find for free. This tealight holder has a natural edge and is turned from an alder branch. I can sell these all day for $10.00 each. Tealight holders are very popular at my craft shows. This one is my most popular but they all sell pretty well.
Thanks for watching! Now go make some. They are easy and great practice to build your skill level.

Thank you! 😊
Nice job. Thank you for sharing 🌞
Thank you Ray!
What a cute little project! A great way to use wood that might not otherwise be used.
Thank you Charlotte!

You got a new lathe!
Yes. It will be quieter when I'm talking
Lovely job, and just out a bit of tat .
Thank you!
I like it Rus. You have a shop fox lathe now. I was used to the yellow one.take care , Dan
Thank you!
I have both lathes now. The shop fox is quieter. I've had a lot of requests for explaining my techniques so the shop fox will be quieter for talking.
@@RcWoodturning cool I'll be waiting.
@@user-kf5of8pq9p I'll be looking for ideas for what all of you want to see also.
Keren bro
👍
Really like this idea, good job. Do you turn these when the wood is still green?
Yes I have but I prefer it dry.
Is the sanding disc something you made or is it a retail item? I normally use my combo disc/belt sander, but it recently passed into tool heaven...
It's a disc pad for an angle grinder. I cut the head off a 5/8 bolt to hold in the chuck. This the one I use.

@@RcWoodturning Awesome, thanks! Ill give that a try.
What finish do you use?
I use friction polish. It's a mix with shellac.
I’m reluctant to sell candle holders because I’m afraid someone will burn their house down and sue me. Otherwise a nice project
Thank you Greg!
Yes I understand that.
I always tell people to never leave the candles unattended. That's the best I can do.
@@RcWoodturning i guess one could put those cheap LED candles in but they cost more than the tea light.
What do you sell them for
$10.00 each. I have sold sets of 3 for 25.
Thanks for watching!
@@RcWoodturning very nice little project to make a bunch of and sell fast 😁
@@blumax413 They are my best sellers at craft shows and they are easy to make.
Good idea for a piece that probably would have been thrown away.
Thank you!
I always try to use it if I can.
How much😊😊😊
$10.00 each at the craft show.
Only the US govt. makes money, you earn it, by working or selling items.
