    Awesome! You basically translated the PxF_SmokeBox Nuke node into 3dsMax.
    Different software, same technique. Awesome result! Nice and Efficient.

      Oh interesting, didn’t know that there is a Nuke Node that does the same 😀 I think I have also seen a Plugin for Unreal Engine that does something similar.

    I´ll definitely try adding those effects in some my next renderings (depending on the scene) to maybe make my scenes look less "flat" and have more depth to them!

    Great tutorial as always. Do you have a video that goes over your background set up and how you created the moon?

    • @JonasNoell
      @JonasNoell  3 месяца назад +1

      The background is just a dome with a texture and the moon a circular light with a texture

    You are so good! Thank you for this smart technique. Would it be suitable for animation or would the illusion easily break?
    By the way, I've seen you've mentioned using DaVinci on a number of occasions, maybe a short overview of how you use it?

    • @JonasNoell
      @JonasNoell  3 месяца назад +1

      It depends on what you want to do. So you cannot really fly through the fog for example or if the camera goes in angles where you can see between the planes the illusion will break. I would say it’s more suited for further away background fog effects.
      Da Vinci I just use for editing at the moment 😀 Still need to dive into Fusion and so on

    • @JonasNoell
      @JonasNoell  3 месяца назад

      I’m sure it will be added over time. Vantage still has to catch up in terms of features. It was the same for GPU and now most things are supported

    • @JonasNoell
      @JonasNoell  3 месяца назад

      @iamski I generated it using Stable Diffusion 😀 But there are literally 100s of moon images you can find on google or other search engines, that should be no issue. Just map it on a circular vray light and you are good to go

      @@JonasNoell Great to hear that you´re now working with Davinci! Could you maybe make a tutorial on how to work with .exr-sequences inside of Davinci? I´m using the "Reactor" script to split the .exr into the individual channels in Fusion but I can´t figure out how to combine them again (similar to how you´d do it in Photoshop for a single image) to get the correct result that you see in the VRay Framebuffer.
      I know you said that you´re still not super used to it which is why I´m curious if you´ve tried that before or are interested in trying it :-)

    • @JonasNoell
      @JonasNoell  3 месяца назад +3

      Yeah using the same Script to split up the files. But I haven’t really looked into it in much detail yet. Once I do and have a good workflow I could make a video about it, good idea!
