The thing that bothers me the most about this whole storyline is that Maedhros was not "bait" to capture and kill even more Elves. Badically Morgoth just hung up Maedhros for decoration. At least he cursed Hirin and his family, but he just hung Maedhros from a high place like a trophy of sorts. Tell me at least that Tevildo was guarding the area. Although he is not the greatest of watch cats that ever lived. 🤪
i always want to believe that maglor didn't fight for mae because he had to keep the household together. The House of Finwe has lost three kings (finwe, feanor and mae) in such short time. elves didn't know mae was still alive. maglor as the eldest brother had to keep his younger brothers not doing stupid things. maglor must be suffering during that time.
I never saw a connection between the flowers springing up and Fingolfin causing that. It seems clear to me that Yavanna caused the flowers to spring up after the Sun rose for the first time. Vegetation was dormant until the light of the Sun shone on it.
How does the flower-growing thing possibly relate to Yavanna? She's not mentioned in the text at all, it is directly mentioned as happening wherever Fingolfin's feet touched the earth.
@@thebrotherskrynn As for Yavanna, she created all Fauna and Flora. She put all flowers to sleep until a time that only Eru knew. That time turned out to be the rising of the sun and Fingolfin happened to walk in an area where the first generation flowers were fast growing.

Very good point Elanor, hadn't mentioned that but it seems very obvious that this was the case. Thanks for commenting on that factor.
@@thebrotherskrynn hahahaha thank you. i've just read too many fanfictions.

There is no way a renegade who escapes from Aman gets special magical skills. Sorry.

It is not about being right or wrong. Both theories are possible. I just don't like the idea of Fingolfin having magic shoes or feet.
@@thebrotherskrynn hi
Did Thorondor eat Maedhros' hand after it got cut off? Good source of protein.👍😁
