I have stopped all of my charitable donations now that I have a reacue dog with alot of health issues. And, is the rounded up money for charity passed on to the charity daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly?
In the meantime, the funds collected for the charity, is the money sitting in a bank account accruing interest?
The money passed on to the charity, does it include the interest?

Maybe because of employee theft. It happens everywhere
Burger places tells their computer is down and can only take cash.
Where does the money go? A friend closed 2 stores because of employee theft.

Seems very strange way to conduct their business. Would make one very suspicious. In Ireland l have found it sometimes difficult to get cash from an ATM and have to travel around looking for an ATM that has cash. I don't feel people are using cash as much as they did before Covid. Having said that some want cash only!
    as they did before Covid.

It so annoying when shops wont take cash and i never give extra to charity when paying by card as you don't know which charity it goes to!
What also annoys me is the charge for paper bags now, and the charge for a carrier bag has increased to 20p. Wonder where the extra goes!!
Big wave to you Neil and all chums on your channel 👋

We have to bring your own bags and now some stores are refusing to bag your purchases. Rude customer service and then they want you to donate to charities, charge you for using a debit card. When we can hardly afford the prices of eggs and bread. Ridiculous

Here in Spain, particularly coming up to Christmas, notices appear on tills asking customers if they want to donate to a Charity, if you opt to do this, and I have so know from personal experience, the donation shows on your till receipt as a separate item after purchases, and will be confirmed to the Tax Authorities to be offset on your Tax Return. Also, during times of International crisis, wars, famines, earthquakes etc I have donated to some charities through my Bank, who invite donations and again, are recorded and reported to the Tax Authorities. This has been my preferred way of donating for the last 20 years I have lived here. It sounds a bit different from the UK.

I skip over the donation requests on self checkout or cashier as well as people who approach me on the street. Very little is about charitable work these days. It's become big biz with high salaries and generous pensions & benefits.

I donate to my Church and they help people all over the world. They help during disasters, send food all over and thousands of other things. I know they keep track of every single 'penny' and dont waste it.

Friends of mine used to knit blankets, cardigans for charities abroad, then they had a message to say, they didn’t want the knitted goods anymore, they wanted the money instead.

Anything paid by card goes to the airline; cash goes to the charity - takes more than a tad programming, therefore more money, for the company to make that difference. In other words, you pay for meal via card and it goes to the airline; if you make a charitable donation via a card, it just might go to the airlines as a "unknown payment.".
