This woman is one of the finest vocalists of all time. Just that good. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. Beautiful woman, timeless, huge voice. Like Whitney, she was the whole package. Like Hathaway, her loss was a blow to music. We love you, forever.

Love, Love, Phyllis Hyman First time I heard that song it gave me goosebumps from head to toe. Even if I play it a 100 times I still get the bumps. She made you feel every word, note and she makes you feel like that really happened in her life. She died too young and she wasn't recognized for the amazing singer she was.
Phyllis Hyman was and is one of the greatest female singers of all time. She is definitely an unsung hero. I had the pleasure of seeing her perform in concert many years ago and I can tell you this; her performance was so unforgettable that it blew me away. Phyllis knew how to captivate her audience from the time she hit the stage. Not only could she sing, she was stunningly beautiful and she exuded so much sensuality and sexiness that she had the whole audience in the palms of her hands. Absolutely the best performance I have ever seen. May she RIP in Gods loving arms.
Phyllis Hyman sang from her soul. One of the most underrated singers from the 1970-1980 period. Phyllis had this deep register that told her story of despair. She was suffering from depression. What I totally understood was the way she could cry while she dang the song. She was a powerful singer that could take you to the rafters. Gone much too soon.
Omg I'm so glad you reacte stop this video. I live Phyllis Hyman she was such an amazing artist so much passion and emotions. She is definitely underrated. She should be in legendary status! 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! I guess watching her live for the first after all these years. Really shook my core. I was reminded how underrated she was again. I definitely consider her as a legend. 👑
I LOVE PHYLLIS. I started buying her albums a year ago. Now I've got them all. I'm reading her Bio by Jason Michael. I recommend "But I Love You" from the Mike Douglas Show 1980. Or anything from her Somewhere in my Lifetime album, my favorite of hers.
Omg! 😭😭😭.. Thank you King, I really appreciate this video. It is beautiful. I am crying right now. She is so deserving and so are you. Love, Light, and Blessings to you 🙌🏾🌟💞💜
She was absolutely fierce and Statues and beautiful voice and a sweet person too. I had the pleasure of sewing for her and 19 Dean 79 when our 1st came to New York
Such a beautiful beautiful woman and very talented. Love her voice and style. No one can take her place. Just raw talent. Her emotions and pain speaks through the music she sung. I felt in love with her whole catalog. 1st song I heard from her when I was younger..... Meet me on the moon. This live version I shed a little tear. ruclips.net/video/C86UAJOSIUU/видео.html Wish she was still with us. I think during the late 80's and early 90's she felt alone and complacent by the other ladies in the industry and the upcoming whitney houston from the documentary I seen. So sad..... RIP Phyllis ♥️
Bro u know your music, this is definitely a rare performance from this phenomenal woman and she definitely is ranked with all the other STELLAR women u mentioned.. this definitely was a time when it was about TALENT over everything else and these were all VERY talented women and their beauty was just icing on an already great tasting cake
I must correct you respectfully...Miss Hyman has a plethora of music to listen to in order for you to know what she has offered...Now it would have been nice had she lived to give us more...I enjoyed your reaction 😊
Interesting the so called "trinity" and I get that but for me.....I would prefer to listen to Phyllis Hyman over WH or CD. I cant listen to an entire album of any of those three. Give me some Phyllis, Angela Bofil, Stephanie Mills, Gladys Knight, Minnie Ripperton, Roberta Flack, Donna Summer, Sade any day.
Yes. I love Phyllis!! I’m working on a new reaction for her today. 🙌🏿💯. She’s on a whole different level alone. It’s something only she has. Great list of amazing singers too. Solid choices 👑💯.
Hey Patrick, I've enjoyed your reactions but I've noticed multiple artist repeat with songs that aren't their most popular, if I may I'd love for you to react to another female Legend by birth of her Dad Mr Nat King Cole and by her own right Ms Natalie Cole,, although she has a great catalog of her own there was a PBS special she did entitled Ask a Woman Who Knows , she's of course singing live and there two songs in particular I'd like for you to consider from this concert Tell me all about it & Calling You.. maybe her video with she and her Dad Unforgettable.. ohh do some Olivia Newton John as well. Thanks
Ms Hyman isn't underrated , people who know music know this sweet velvety songstress.. unfortunately as beautiful as she was physically and talented she got into her own way and no one could save her.. it's so sad the most brilliant artist are often struck with deep depression and they seem to able to hide it all too well.. Beautiful Phyllis
This woman was OMG Beautiful….it’s sooooo sad how Clive sabotaged her career!!!! This song…man I remember my auntie crying to song driving down the i85 in her ‘85 Maxima….🥲🥲
Whitney, Mariah and Celine couldn't touch Phyllis Hyman. Clive Davis and the music industry put Phyllis in the background so they could sell Whitney's and Sade's records. Only Stephanie Mills was in her class of singer.
Phyllis Hyman's voice was amazing. From the minute she opens her mouth, I am under her spell. To consider Mariah and Celine as part of the vocal trinity is a joke to me. Yes, both can sing but they are definitely not the greatest

My favorite Phyllis Hyman song is Meet Me On The Moon. It has so many different layers. I just love it. ❤️
The whistle though!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Loved her!

Loved Phyllis Hyman- gone too soon 😢
She was absolutely fierce and Statues and beautiful voice and a sweet person too. I had the pleasure of sewing for her and 19 Dean 79 when our 1st came to New York
Phyllis Hyman's discography without a doubt is timeless. She started her career in the 70s, and is featured on many Jazz recordings.

Would you please react to phyliss Hyman's song "You know how to love me".
Jazzmin Sullivan need to be cast as her in a film.
So true
Vocal trinity? How about Aretha Franklin, Patty Labelle, Teena Marie.
I was a young girl when she committed suicide. I was so devastated. She was one of my favorite artist.
You got to do vesta Williams next

I think Jazmine Sullivan would do her so much justice if there was to be a Phyllis Hyman biopic.
She will kill it.
Classic Phyllis Hyman. Clive tried to mold her first...she wouldn't change. Hence, Whitney!! Check out: The Answer Is You, and Your Move, My Heart!!
Now you gotta do Nancy Wilson. Both Phyllis Hyman and Anita Baker said she was an influence on them.
Nancy Wilson once said that she and Phyllis had done some unreleased recordings.
Try some Teena Marie also. To say she was just good is an insult. Her song DeJa Vu is devastating !!!
Is that Billy Preston on keys???
That is!

She was the best and she got a catalog. She started in the 70's with Norman Conners. Check out Old friend, Meet me on the moon.
Thank You! #fam

Phyllis was a goddess point blank.........lol. Loved her!!!!!
Exactly 💯 SAD SAD
Vastly under rated. Just like everybody knows the name Whitney Houston, everybody should know the name Phyliss Hymann.
Can you please react to Lisa stansfield song called Set your loving free
Please

No other woman can touch my gal especially that whistling ohhhh my god simply beautiful so unique powerful gal a real goddess❤🙏
Will u be able to react to it ?
Underrated, she was 6,ft tall. Too big and awkward, didn't get the attention she deserves
when her biopic is finally in production, Jazmine Sullivan needs to portray her
yass
The only right answer.
