I am from India and there's joint families we talk with each other and I am feeling same here. I love Slovenian people's and respect Slovenia government also.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm currently working towards a 5 year plan to move from London to Slovenia to buy and run a bed & breakfast for adventure sports holidays. Luckily I am also an EU passport holder through Ireland. The biggest issue I have come across so far is motgages on properties, Volksbank in Austria requires a 30% deposit, hence needing 5 years to finalise a move. Purchase, renovations etc...it adds up.
send me an email, my ultimate plan is also to do it, but not in Slovenia (probably in Croatia). I will be glad to share my info on the matter with someone with a similar goal.

I would have stayed there unfortunately my mom got sick with cancer so now I am a stay at home mom yet it's fine because she means the most to me, she raised me and I will stay with her till the end. Even if not being able to go back to the best country in the world.

Compared to the UK Slovenia is much cheaper, especially the supermarkets and eating out is also considerably cheaper and generally much higher quality foods are served because Slovenia insisted on keeping their seed banks when they joined the EU.so you can actually taste the difference in the food .

Great video ... It'll be nice If you could make similar videos about individual countries. Anymore countries which offer residence permits through opening a company?
@@samanthaliyanage1674 in Austria you need to invest much (really much more) more to come as a company owner. But there is a cheaper program if you speak German and have sufficient financial means.
Anything related possibility in Germany? I mean registering a company for something like Amazon fba while being outside the country and then applying for a residence permit through the embassy in the home country.
I really, really want to move to Slovenia. I am from New Zealand. I am an artist who paints nature. It looks fantastic there. Can I get a artists residency there??? If I could I'd be there tomorrow.
In culture sector people here live allmost tax free. Friend-achitect has paid everything by the state and very little tax on profit. Google ' status kulturnika ' and find out more... From NZ you can transfer here tommorow, I think you need only place to stay and that is all for visa. After 5-10 years you become citizent if you work. Don't need to learn slovenian, averyone here speaks english. And one more thing, don't move, NZ is allmost the same place as slovenia, only food is better.
Thanks for a great video! As a citizen of Serbia, can I get a residence permit (I don't need a work permit) if I purchase a house? For you wrote "If you are a citizen of a Western Balkan country which is not part of the EU, it might be easier for you to get a residence permit in Slovenia than other non-EU countries."
No, you cannot. The residence permits are usually easier to get for citizens of Serbia if they come for work purposes. If you open a company with more than 50k capital and buy real estate, you can get a residence permit, but the costs of maintaining the company opened are quite high.
@@traveleconomics Thanks a lot! How much would it cost to maintain a company with a small income from renting one apartment to occasional tourists? The alternative would be Croatia, but owning a property there grants just 9 months legal stay per year.
They rank arount the average when compared with EU nations. In some specific aspects, like in crypto, they are more advanced than other countries in the region like Croatia or Italy.
@@simonpeter9617 I'd still go for Portugal, even thought PT is not among the top EU nations in innovation. The reason for that is that the market is much larger. Portugal has 10 million inhabitants versus 2 million in Slovenia, at a somewhat similar innovation level.

Thanks for your video, we love Slovenia. Emigration here is not easy ... Slovenia does not have big residence, CBI or retirement visa programs like Spain or Portugal. EU citizen is no problem, it's about like moving from one US state to another. Former YU republic citizen might be a bit easier. Companies are not that easy to open (d.o.o., which is like an LLC) or an s.p., which is cheaper but requires property usually. Croatia is not as cheap as it used to be ...if corporation, CBI or low taxes are a priority, Bulgaria has lowest in EU at low CBI requirements and 10% flat tax (after liberal exemptions).

Usually not. Only if you are a part of Slovenian minority in other countries like Italy, Austria, Hungary...or of 2nd generation descent. That's it. Your fiscal residency is also very important, you could get double taxed in some cases.
