It's really interesting how front-loaded Gaiden and Echoes are. Most of the story happens before the events of the game, but at the same time that is its charm. Duma always scared me in Gaiden with how he was a degenerated dragon and I always wondered how that happened. Great job on this video, you really had to carefully read the lines to understand the story.

Add the fact this is also the birth land of grima , (if you know you know if you don’t it’s alright to sum up , grima is known as the fell dragon or to say the dragon that is said to end the world but grima for sure is a special case in the fact despite being the size of a fortress it’s capable of human speech , it’s also very cunning being around for as long as it has it easily knows human temptations outside of that it’s scarily known for its deceit and cunning )
Now despite the long ass comment I have more to say lol just saying the Intial already ended 😂🙏🏽
Awakening still is to this date the end of the timeline game as it stands (so any fire emblem game made should happen before awakening assuming it’s outside of the shared universe or by existing due to special causes) there’s an interesting theory that three houses universe takes place in the abdonded timeline (the one where lucina fled to the past and grima in robins body followed ) the theory is by those two doing that lucina not only ended the bloodline of kings since no one is alive there to continue the family tree or even be born with a mark/crest but she took the only falchion the upgraded and blessed one at that, but grima leaving also means that there were only left over risen to take care of and no dark overlord to spawn more and cover the world in chaos therefore a world without hero’s / villains that’s where sothis and that whole story should play in and in retrospect I can see that
she did show up to a land where humans where just chillin and up’d them in life but of course things are never perfect and can’t last forever

I guess it probably would have also helped to add that the Valentian continent in the future would end up becoming Valm, even if not particularly important.

Nice! I just gonna say that Alm & Celica are my favorite main characters in this game. The fact that Echoes keeps much or the original Gaiden while bringing some new stuff plus the lore on Grima and how the Fell Dragon was created, brings a smile on my face. I also want to point out one thing: Celica turns into a witch after Jedah sells her soul to Duma but not fully as she tells Alm to kill her before she kills him and had she gone full witch Jedah evil scheme would have worked and its a good thing that it didnt thanks to Mila.

The "Kingsfang" falchion wasn't the only such sword Naga made: the one Marth had in Archanea was another, right? I don't see how they could be the same one, with Rudolf's/Alm's one being locked away in Rigel's Duma catacombs for years.
To me, for the story to make sense, Alm and Celica must be part-dragons, though only in small part, and their birthmarks but an outward indication of this. That is why their souls are especially valuable to Jeddah, and why Gray and Clair, for example, recognise an indefinable "something different" about them. Any descendent of the humans with whom Duma and Mila made their respective "blood pacts" must have a chance of inheriting a small amount of their powers. After many generations many people must have that chance, but a tiny one; Rudolf, Alm and Celica were among the few, maybe the only ones in their time, in whom that chance was realised.
On Desaix's evidence, and that of the wine-loving old man in Ram village (talking about how long it had been since they had a grape harvest), Mila must have been losing her mind, sinking into apathy, years before Rudolf attacked her. I imagine her inevitable "madness" being like Alzheimer's dementia.
I do wonder what Jedah and Nuibaba are (in Echoes). Jedah's daughters look human, he does not. Not just his skin color, but the shape of his ears, not nearly as long and sharp as Mila's, yet still with a bit of a point.

I really enjoyed seeing grima in echoes as it basically confirmed my theory I had back when awakening was new that grima was a special dragon even among the divine and earth dragon groups due to his creation and above even loptus with his powers and size.
Game was ok not one I really liked after the villager group evolved

I believe the "king" in kingsgrail and kingshield are in reference to Naga, who is the ruler of the divine dragons, and has been called the divine dragon king in some games. Same with Falchion's other name being "the kingsfang", once again "king" referencing Naga.
