I'm a Hotshot driver. I would never spend 100K on a new truck. There is nothing in this truck worth that kind of money. I need a truck that works not a computer headache. The more garbage they add to these trucks means more downtime for stupid repairs. I own a 2019 Silverado 3500. I could never afford to buy a new truck now. Thanks GM for pricing the working guy out of the market.
I just paid 46k for a 7 yr old high country Duramax and that's killing me. The dealership had no new trucks. I think they are trying to make us stop driving them by raising the price
I have done the math a few times. If you have a older Duramax you can replace the engine and transmission about five times before each before you hit the $100K mark. I plan to keep my Duramax and pass to my kids, when the time comes I will have it overhauled or just put a drop in engine and trans.
If i was able to spend that much money on a truck, i would buy a deleted truck and completely restore the engine trans and driveline. I drive a 02. Paid 10k before the damn plandemic.
I can't afford to spend $100k on a house so unless that thing comes with a kitchen bedroom and a bathroom you won't be seeing me filling out any paperwork for it
@iron-hide6.210 yea, wife, kid's daycare... which take $800 a month for just that and a job that works with the weather.... typical poverty problems in the rural midwest
@@ryansix8289 everybody got the same 24 hours in a day. I learned a trade on my own, taught myself and had other local companies offering me $45k to do for them what I do for myself. @iron-hide6.210 good for you, alot of I's in your statement. No mention of any mouths to feed or how many. Sure I could afford alot more if it was just me. But I'm not about to try defend my life to ignorant people. But hey, you go drop $100k on a truck and be a part of the problem. It's that high because someone will pay it.
Just hit 68k miles on my 16 LML. I did a CP3 swap on it to be preventative. Also put an air dog 2 on it and had a custom tune for it that keeps it emission compliant while not needing to use DEF. It pulls our 34’ TT great and I plan to keep this truck for many years to come. I can’t imagine dropping. $100k on a truck.
I do love the look of that dually ultimate. But until I win the powerball that I don’t play, ain’t no way. I’ll keep my LBZ that’s paid for and just keep repairing/maintaining that.
Right on I got lucky and got my LBZ for a steal. I have already put a lot of work in the truck and plan to keep making it better as time goes by. Next year I am pulling the bed off replacing the rails and crossmembers, sand down the frame and recoat.
I have an LBZ with 190k. They just are not the same truck though. I wish I could keep my LBZ for a tune and play truck and have a new GMC in the garage for big towing.
The normal working person would not ever spend that on a “work truck”. All that interior crap is not necessary! A hotshot driver would never get one, they don’t control what they charge for loads! 100K truck is a total waste for the working class!
I got a F250 with 69,000 miles on it, which I plan on keeping until the day I die. I'm a Chevy guy, just got an offer I couldn't refuse (new ford). The price on today's trucks are not for the 9 to 5 folks.

I think prices are absolutely ridiculous, but Chevy specifically has prices lower than Ford and Ram giving you more for your money. But with the upper trim levels all being 90k + they are clearly not within reach of the average worker and consumer.
The only reason why some of the people like driving the older trucks is because of the emissions and the fact that they use them for farming purposes and the jobs they work for

Thats what i look at when buying a truck is how much its going to cost once the warranty is expired and it gets some age on it!
Only diesel tractors and 18 wheelers are worth paying over 100 grand because they will generate lots of money. I don't see how any of these new trucks can make someone enough money to pay itself
Yes I agree nowdays its hard to find a semi under 100k, I bought my semi 2017 model right before all this craziness started for 58k with low miles now my truck books for way more than I paid for it!
No way in hell i would spend that on a truck, will never own a dmax. You can get a Hino which hax a far better warranty, these are a waste to hotshot. Remove all of that garbage technology and get back to building trucks.
All I want in a truck is power steering, power brakes, electric windows and A/c. That’s all you need to be comfortable. The rest of the bs in these trucks are unnecessary and just drives the price up. More to break more you gotta pay to fix. It really became ridiculous when you have to pull the cab off a truck to work inside the engine bay.
Every truck that I have own has been a dodge cummins newest one was a 2012. Witch I sold few moths ago for alot of money. I order a new 2024 chevy 3500 with 6.6l gas mrsp for the truck was 62000. And I got a ton of options. I just couldn't bring myself to spend over 80000 for a diesel

There is not a diesel truck in the world thats worth 100k in my opinion all that fancy stuff is just another fail point after the warranty is out and you have to shell out for the parts and labor to fix!

Gmcs look better. As much as i would love a new denali, im more than happy with my LB7 and LMM. Ones a toy and ones a daily/tow rig.
Question?? Can i tig weld my y bridge snout soild on my 09 lmm?
just because it has a couple led screens doesn't make it worth 100grand
All I want in a truck is power steering, power brakes, electric windows and A/c. That’s all you need to be comfortable. The rest of the bs in these trucks are unnecessary and just drives the price up. More to break more you gotta pay to fix. It really became ridiculous when you have to pull the cab off a truck to work inside the engine bay.
They are not worth 65,000 . The prices are oit of control . And they are crap built . Your guaranteed to break down
I'll be happy 😊 😊 with both
Not for that, I would spend another 40k and get a roleback real truck
Every truck that I have own has been a dodge cummins newest one was a 2012. Witch I sold few moths ago for alot of money. I order a new 2024 chevy 3500 with 6.6l gas mrsp for the truck was 62000. And I got a ton of options. I just couldn't bring myself to spend over 80000 for a diesel
He said emissions! 😂😂😂
Could buy a house for that price it’s insanity the pandemic has caused everyone to raise their prices to offset the cost of what they lost but hey what do I know 😂
