Do you think SATA will endorse their competitor's cup system? RPS cups are more expensive but I find more value in them with clear mixing ratios on a fresh, clean cup every time. 3M PPS 2.0 system is cheaper per cup liner but uses the same outer hard cup and makes it an item you need to clean to prevent dirt nibs or dried paint from the dirty cup. The only advantage i see with 3M is the ability to paint in any orientation; most notably upside down. RPS is a really good and efficient cup system that gives you the option to store leftover non-2K products in the cup and each cup comes with 2 seals. You can save leftover base for another job in the cup, something you cant do with 3M.
If you're having a fluttering issue it is most likely the nozzle seal (#140582) needs to be replaced. The early editions were not made to handle the cleaners commonly used in the US markets. Thats the most common "wear item" now that there is no distribution ring. Hope this helps
I have stopped buying SATA after the release and failure to support their 5500x gun customers. They want to charge you top price but offer next to zero customer or warranty support. I am not upset that they made a defective product, I am upset they didn't own up to it and left a lot of people with no help and an expensive paperweight.
Do sata spray guns perform better with 3m 2.0 or the cup with cup and air inlet on the lid??
