I don't see whether it can austoswitch profile based on application/game, can it do that? I feel logitech mouse is best for now because of their scrollwheel + G-Shift + software make so much difference, but their keyboard kinda meh.
Thanks for the vid! I missed two crucial pieces of information tho. 1. How convenient is it to swap off-board profiles? Would I have to enter the client, or can it be done from the system tray? 2. Do you have to log in with your software client to Corsair servers to access the full functionality of your mouse (like with Razor)?
It seems I have to connect my mouse via USB for iCUE to recognize and change its settings. If I connect wirelessly, it doesn't show up in the software at all. Either way there are no "Hardware ..." settings. I turned all the lighting to static, but when I remove the USB cable, the dang mouse starts blinking and flashing even when my computer is off. This is really frustrating.
I managed to add. different profiles to different slots BUT how do they actually get copied on the mouse and where can I switch trough these profiles? The wired mouse had a button above the DPI button to switch profiles?
the button is underneath the mouse. But to copy the profiles on the mouse is a software thing - it worked but I had to configure everything from scratch importing the old settings wont‘t work
there used to be 2 dpi toggle buttons, I used for forward and back navigation in browsers and binds in games, why the fuck would they remove one of them, the entire reason I wont buy this, even though ive been usiong scimitar for many years and have gone through atleast 7 of them, I only stay loyal to corsair for its great software.
Fuuuuuuu... I just saw this after ordering The mouse.. I used dpi Buttons for forward and back all The damn Time.. Guess i Have to make The single dpi Button as back now and manually click forward.. Sigh corsair bad design..
@@LegionzGG Yup that's the best way to do it, it seems. Im still on like my 8th corsair and the mouse wheel still falling apart, not many games with bhop anymore though(they destroyed bhop in cs2 update), I have to say the wire has been catching on my desk alot lately, I might need to finally give in and get this, the only way to get a mouse unless I buy another used one off ebay. dumb design by corsair, maybe theres a way to install the old buttons onto the new mouse, idk.. It was almost perfect
G-Hub is also very prone to crashing like a house of cards. Honestly, I don't get the hate ICue gets. Sure, it eats up *some* (not much) resources, but it's fairly user-friendly, and much better-looking than many competitors.
Never used the icue software. Does it actually work reliably? So much of the software is so horrible like Armory crate, Gigabyte GU software etc. This is a major point of decision for me on if I want a component or not, as poor software can ruin hardware, even one that is an awesome piece.
on hardware keys assainment i set up new profile on side buttons and when i select save settin on one of the 3 slots THEN my setup is dissapering and notting is saved, , so only option is to save it in software, and lett the app be running all the time for letting settins be useable, so i'm not gonna use this new shit mouse anymore. or any corsair product.
iCue sucks. Do not leave it running if at all possible to do whatever it is you need to do. You should have any binding alterations done in your hardware (mouse or keyboard) done in the firmware of the device. Sadly, convenient profile switching based on the running/active application requires iCue software (and similar for other devices) to be running. Ditching my Corsair K70/K95 keyboards for a Glove80 was low key amazing in that it allows me to uninstall iCue. Less memory footprint, and low CPU. SwiftpointZ software is ABSOLUTELY minimal in terms of how invasive and creepy it thinks it needs to be while running on my machine. Profile switching, and profile creation, management, backing up, and firmware updates are all there and nothing extra to try to prove value and bog things down. Glove80 is entirely firmware (ZMK). I also have an Azeron Cyborg II, and it's software is not as amazing, but very similarly uninvasive and not bloated like SwiftpointZ's, contrast to iCue.
CORSAIR SCIMITAR ELITE RGB WIRELESS MMO Gaming Mouse: geni.us/yMnq
Do you know if this is compatible with a mac?
Wow, the software is pretty powerful. Thank you so much for the extensive review! :)
Side buttons not working for me
was really hoping you'd look at the hardware key assignment but you skipped it completely?

Great video how much onboard memory can you store on the mouse
Hi, please advice, is it possible to adjust acceleration and slow down rate like in SteelSeries software?

@@WatchoutNSG i got a naga pro v2 instead. Got a wired scimitar as backup
I like my Logitech peripherals but G-Hub is trash compared to IQue

Is there a way to use shift function like on razer basically getting 24 keys? Like shift+1.
you might try AutoHotKey to make this work. I use it to make my old Perixx MX3100 buttons trigger different hotkeys for different programs.

this is the worst mmo mouse ive ever had. you have to go through some esoteric ritual and cast a spell to make it work
