You have a great knack for building guitars where for the first 90% of the build I'm like "what the hell is he doing??", and then at the end I'm like "Wow, that turned out pretty cool!"
Thanks for the reply!! And oh my God this thing turned out beautiful! Got to admit when I started hearing those little pops and cracks I had my doubts but man you pulled her out and made a one-off that'll not be duplicated in our lifetime !! Beautifull work brother, that's why I watch!!

Ben Hofert I am a luthier, electric and acoustic. I build guitars out of everything from cheap wood to the highest end stuff you can get. The reason I think the debate is pointless is that a guitar is just a tool. Yes, different species of woods have different tonal properties and will vibrate differently. What you build with depends on what your customers play style is. Some woods are warm, some are harsh. You choose the wood based on what you want from it. So trying to say one type of wood is better than another is like trying to say a hammer is better than a screwdriver. If you play super metal, you can literally bolt a neck to a 2x4(I’ve done it) and it won’t make difference. If you are playing something super clean, then it again comes down to what tone do you want? I personally believe the debate has little merit because of the differences in each players ear. What might sound great to me might sound awful to someone else and vice versa. So, yes. Tonewoods are important, but no one is superior to another. This is all based on personal experience, as are all things. So hopefully that helps answer your question.
NFI how I got here, I'm neither a player or a luthier. What I am is a lover of fine crafstmanship. Doesn't matter what the work is, observing a master ply their trade is an absolute joy. Mr Crowe Sir, you have made my day. Congratulations on a breathtaking project
Such an abstract design. It looks as if you got a famous art piece and combined it with one of the most ideal instruments used today. Such wonderfull work. Sad to see it end yet it was a fun while it lasted.
I continue to find encouragement via RUclips that craftsmanship and the spirit of "what can you actually do with your own two hands" is alive and well.
Those tattoos on your head really represents something.. And for me.. Its represents the idea of master piece... And you are the only one who always thought the impossible...
Absolutely awesome job, but someone with MADDD SKILLS... and I think I do mean mad. Very cool video style too-- really fun to watch and easy to follow, which is not easy. Two things, which as a know-it-all that has done fine furniture woodworking for several decades, I am sure you know the following, but I will reiterate: (1) Always glue both side of any glue joint, as it makes it so that the glue joint becomes stronger than the wood around it. Otherwise, statistically, even with the best glue, a certain percentage of your joints will fail over time. Second, get a wood steamer, as they are cheap. I now live in AZ and I keep a humidifier going in my aged wood area at all times too. But then, I live in AZ. One last thing, I generally try to use opposing grain with a compatible expansion wood type in the center for the neck. I love a single solid or whatever body, but I find that I have like zero tuning other than string stretch by segmenting semi-quarter sawn divided in half, flipped and joined with a full quarter sawn center grain wood. However, designs do not always allow for that. NICE TONE!!!!

How old is Ben Crowe? Is it possible Bill Bailey has a long lost brother? Or a long lost love child? To add to this, the accent sounds as if he could have been born in South Africa, possibly Cape Town, before relocating to the UK.

Next time you feel like building a BOB guitar, you should find a boatbuilder. They have oven-like thingies, in which they steam wood and it's workable and sets in the shape, you have designed. I don't build, I don't play well, but I do enjoy the show. 😉
I sincerely hope it never breaks. It is such nice, unique craftsmanship. It just looks very fragile. Hopefully the end user will appreciate the effort and skill it took to make this and will treat it accordingly (and never lets Pete Townshend near it).

It puts it in the garbage where it belongs 🤣
The only people that talk about tone wood are people who don’t know anything but want to sound smart.
There is still a lot of wood..? It doesn't need to be one block, this resonates just the same

Fill up the spaces with some cool coloured matching resin and you got a sick solid and durable guitar.
