Estoy enganchado a esta pieza, la he oido tocada en variedad de instrumentos y no me canso de escucharla, joer lo que llega a cundir una pieza musical antigua , adaptable a todos los tiempos
Metal and Baroque belongs together. There is something with the energy and way of understand music that is very similar. This piece is not really the best example. If you listen to some of Bach's organ works, you hair will stand on end, i promise! Absolutely awsome!
Big classical and rock fan here. Was just listening to the orginal-style versions of this and Bach's toccata and fugue,or Vivaldi's winter n it occurred to me sumbody must have already done rock covers of em.these tunes are already rockd-up classics.this is badass bro 😁
I asked him. He was not. He said it was composed as a dance. There is a dance by that name, Sarabande. The count goes one, two, three, not one, two, three, four. So this is not just not Handel, this is not Sarabande.
That is exactly what i think. i read somewhere that the way it is written is extremely similar which is why baroque is the only classical music i genuinely love
On hearing this my first thought was...WTF! but the more I listen the more I appreciate. Not all Wakeling's choices of classics stand the transformation (Darkness Rising for one) but if Handel had been born for today he would have been a rocker!
I will forever be angry at Handel for taking credit for this melody when, as I understand it, the earliest known composer to utilize it was Corelli. However, I love this piece and this cover is awesome! :)
you're right, baroque and metal are bosom buddies ;) Listen to any bravura arias by Vivaldi, Araia, Handel etc. and you'll feel right at home :D they really knew you to rock in the 1700s.
Usually it is actually notated as 2/4 or 4/4 (depending on which edition you have), but the measures are kind of grouped in 3, so there is that 3/2-feeling in the original. In this version there is added a 1/4 break in each measure - through the whole arrangement. So if you know the original, it just sounds wrong. Doesn't catch the feeling of the original.
One of my favourite pieces of music... Great, emotional version, but maybe it needed a bit more work. I'm no musician or audio engineer or anything, but in places it doesn't sound quite "right". This is like a great Work In Progress.
Of all the great composers, I think Handel is the one who would object to adaptations least. It would be a question of how much. When you consider anyone can perform Messiah, with very limited resources - from the Bach Choir and a full orchestra to a parish church and an amateur operatic society….
Wow, this song reminded me of another song...It bugged me for quite a few minutes, then it came to me...... Britnay Spears "one more time" -u5WLJ9Yk4&ob=av2eNow I must go gouge out my ear drums. Seriously...that was awesome.
I appreciate the effort but up until 3:40 it sounds like 2 different songs, competing with each other. The second half sounds a lot better for what it's meant to be. The bit from 1:50 until 3:40 should be shortened or reworked. Not trying to be negative, mostly it sounds great. Just not quite perfect :)
There are way to many mistakes in this, as well as a very sluggish overall tempo. It just doesn't flow well at all. I really like the idea though and the bit at 1:42 sounds like a winner. It just has to be better played all round. I hope I don't sound like a dick, I'm just trying to be constructive. I'd love to hear a redone version! :)
In that case you should be angry at any classical composer: they snatched and copied eachothers melodies constantly like it was their favorite hobby. All of them. Bach didn't write half of his works by himself, Mozart used Handels overture's for his Requiem, Beethoven altered a lot of Handels work, Vivaldi stole a lot of music from less famous Italian composers, etc etc. Copyright wasn't really their favorite word so to speak.
sorry, too bad midi sounds, many mistakes that could have been easily corrected in your DAW, sluggish time all the way through, and uninteresting guitars....
oh my god its so horrible ! all the magic and all the serenity of this piece is lost!! and i think they have nothing in common! you cant compare baroque music to heavy metal, perchaps there are some artists that use the term neoclassical metal in their music, but no,the difference in the quality in heavy metal and generally classical music is really huge believe me.
im a classical musician. i love this metal version
There are many great covers of Sarabande. But for the rock versions: THIS IS THE BEST!
Thank you, Adam.
What the great man would think I don't know.? But I love it! What a difference a couple of centuries makes in music.
Great interpretation of heavenly music. Just overvelming!

In the beginning the harpsichord sounded like it was gonna play duel of fates!
I wish that I could get someone to do the nutcracker suite metal/goth styles
3:37

Hail pour les rois du classiques! Des immortels ces peuples, nos aïeux tous plus seigneurs que nos gouvernes actuelles. !
Βαρετό....

silenig there is a version by Epsylon which has a more fluent arrangement

Ever heard of 6/8?
Ok
Make a G-smaller version of Adagio, please...please...!
Wow, this song reminded me of another song...It bugged me for quite a few minutes, then it came to me......

It's supposed to be a 3/4 time signature. The long note is far too long ...

Mmmh... Why 4/4?
AND? Why haven't you let me hear this version before young man!! Bugger Desert Island Disks on Radio 4. Just give me your playlist.
@Alexandra8981 I was about to correct your spelling, but then I realized how slow I am...
u did it in 4/4 ...
It's not perfect, but i am for encouraging this kind of behavior on boroque music specially back but handle rocks too

it is 4/4 instead of 3/4. easier probably

oh god, why...
arrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh the beat is fucked up
Not so interesting
heavy guitar is all rite but in this piece. It should be ovtuvative and not chunk chunk chunk so much.

was Haendel gay?
Out of rhythm.
dumm
