Metal is modern classical music. No other music has the raw energy that metal does, and if you truly listen to classical you can hear metal's roots buried in there. Study music theory, it will open you ears to music in a whole new way.
***** Um no, you said the opposite! "if you truly listen to classical you can hear metal's roots buried in" thats what u said, but hey, it wasn´t a critic, just a detail. so sorry if upset you.
Hugo Kadaf Ah I see, we have a language barrier problem. In English, my statement means that metal's roots are buried in classical music. That means that metal has characteristics of classical music that can be identified if you learn to listen.
Now, this IS a real metal cover of a classical song, not the other stuff you can find on the internet, where they only put an electric guitar instead of a piano, or a violin. Great song!!
Little bit late, but there's actually a really cool metal cover of the 3rd movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (aka the fast part). I highly encourage you to listen to it, as it might change your perspective here. m.ruclips.net/video/h6psz_tJSEE/видео.html
Poncho V, if you like this style of music covers, then I strongly encourage you to check out The Trans Siberian Orchestra's music albums, they do (in my opinion) excellent takes on classical and other music. I think you might like their work.
Symphonic metal is metal made with symphonic instruments and style, while classical metal is classical music like Beethoven or Vivaldi re-imagined from a modern metal viewpoint. Both of these subgenres sound orgasmic to me but we have to have a distinction between them for clarity.
I discovered this video, I don't know, maybe 11 or 12 years ago. Loved it at first sight and still today I came back to watch it again. Thank you for making this incredible song Pergamum!
So wonderful how well classical music was converted into metal. In spite of the enormous gap between the introduction of the two genres they seem to go together so well.
Unn Knownst Metal does borrow some traits from classical music, which explains why the two go hand-in-hand when done properly. And there are even subgenres like Power Metal and Progressive Metal which directly include classic instruments and compositions that add a nice touch to the heavy, aggressive tones of Metal. That's how I see it anyway... Everyone has different views
i think if there WERE sunglasses in bachs era he would 've rocked em out in EVERY gig and be like, "sup bitch? This Bach" And how worthy would he have been! Not to mention what cuts all major composers would ''ve worn if they knew nowadays appreciation of their work and the realization of their skill in harmony building as opposed to today's "compositional efforts". Greetings from fucking Greece!
Metal: A Headbangers Journey. Metal has strong roots to classical. Jazz is extremely underrated that shaped multiple genres including Metal thanks thru the Blues. Hail Humanity. Thank you for the collaboration between Europe and African for making great music. Yes Metal is also African diasporic in roots. Including Punk.
No es de extrañar la armonía entre ambos estilos, el metal y el clásico barroco; el metal fue un regreso de la música popular a las raíces clásicas de la música occidental, ya que el rock-pop, se había "africanizado" demasiado.

Metal has classic prints/roots, not the opposite. either way this mix is awesome!!!
Hugo Kadaf Um yeah, that's what I said.

"Classical Metal" it's Symphonic Metal. A magnificent and very underrated sub-genre.
The official title of the track itself is classical metal, it's not saying anything about genre
Symphonic Metal is just metal with orchestral instruments and stuff, this is way different
Symphonic metal is metal made with symphonic instruments and style, while classical metal is classical music like Beethoven or Vivaldi re-imagined from a modern metal viewpoint. Both of these subgenres sound orgasmic to me but we have to have a distinction between them for clarity.
One of the most mainstream sub-genres actually, lol

Thank you for making this incredible song Pergamum!
Titled Classical, but i definately heard all kinds of metal throughout this song.
And i love every second of it ❤
Thnx RUclips recommendations.
Intro reminded me a lot of Symphony Of Destruction.
The start yeah
And PlayStation 3 start-up
SAME
Hell yeah, same, a bit of Slipknot - Unsainted too.
It's comprehensible, it's how every full big orchestra sounds when they are tuning their instruments before starting
I listen to the classical station at work and people look at me like I’m crazy. This my friends is exactly why.
Adoro músicas clássicas e sinfonias. Adoro também metal. Junta esses dois aí pronto
Nunca me cansaré de está sublime obra de arte.
LOVE THE PORTRAITS!!
Love your pfp

Both genres can give you an emotional feeling of any kind just from the sound of instrument. The way its played will do any song good in any way.

Beautiful metallic interpretations. Usually metal classicals are just very awkwardly drummed electric guitar covers. But this is good shit.
awesome rock
