    Overall this is a huge improvement combined with no set recording limits. I just did a short documentary with my 2 XT4’s and having to hit the record button every 30 minutes over the course of 3 hours was super annoying.

    • @itsaaronmiller
      @itsaaronmiller  2 года назад

      yes the lack of record limit is such an amazing upgrade!

    Great vid!
    How good is the upgrade from the Xt4 to the xhs2?
    I’m doing a lot of doc web series..?
    Can it be as good as the expensive FF cameras?
    I have the new 23 and 33 f1.4 and they are great!

      Pretty huge upgrade from the XT4
      I make a living for myself and my wife with these cameras. Sensor size is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. IMO it is one of the least important things

    Hey man, thanks for making this video. I may have missed this in the video but I just want to double check: was your camera Auto Power Off Temp set to High or Standard? Thanks in advance

    • @itsaaronmiller
      @itsaaronmiller  Год назад

      Delayed response here, but it was set to high! I did start the tests not realizing that setting and the first test overheat was because it was in standard.

      The camera is a beast tho. I haven’t had it overheat once in real world use

    Thank you for your video!
    I made an involuntary heat test with my X-H2s yesterday with stills photography, because I sat at the side line of multiple football (soccer) games at 35-40 degree Celsius (95-104 F).
    I had the camera on highest performance settings and the fastest viewfinder settings.
    Between the games (each game went for about 70 minutes) the X-H2s went back into the warm Vanguard case. After around 3 hours I got the first warning (yellow signal) and after another hour performance went down rapidly an the signal turned red.
    I had the chance to put the camera in a bag with cool drinks and cooling elements for about 15 minutes and then turned down the performance setting to normal an the viewfinder to an medium speed. The camera cooled down well enough and I could shoot another 3 hours with a break between the games.
    This is good enough for me, because theses were pretty intense conditions and I usually have one game to shoot and not always in mid-day. I needed 2,5 batteries and shot around 12.000 images. Everything with electronic shutter - that works great: no bending at all.
    I am extremely happy with the AF in combination with the 200 f2 - I don't use eye-AF, because there always are too many players in a frame and I fell back to single point AC - never had so many keepers. I shot at 30 fps and had far more images in focus than with the X-T3.
    Eye AF is great for the shots before and after the game - life suddenly got so much easier :-)
    Greetings from Germany

      Wow! Sounds like you really put it through a true stress test. This thing really is a pro work horse. I’m amazed by it. I’d agree single point has always been very useable with Fuji, but there are improvements for sure to face and eye detection.
      Glad to here you are happy with it. Thanks so much for watching! Take care!

      Hello Sven what CF or SD cards are you using?

    • @SvenPries
      @SvenPries 2 года назад

      @@BajanAutocross Hi, I used two ProGrade Gold (SD and CFExpress) 256 GB.
      I than bought a AV Pro SE CFExpress card (512 GB) after finding out, that 4K 10:2:2 produces enormous file sizes.
      The AV SE is pretty cheap (well, sort of) and does not limit the video capabilities of the X-H2s.

      @@SvenPries thanks 👍🏼, I am trying to figure out why some people are having overheating issues and others aren't, even in similar ambient temperatures. So trying to rule out the CF cards as playing a part

    interesting.. the hottest I had my x-h2s was 38 celsius (100fh), I shot short b-roll sessions for about 10 minutes 4k50, and then started a long take, and I had the yellow sign appear at about 24 minutes, the red never showed up, as I was done recording at 34 minutes, does the 10 frames less make such a big difference, or this kind of test just isn't reliable? Anyways, since I will start shooting wedding again soon, I am considering the 2nd version of the ulanzi fan, just for some peace of mind, do you have any experience with it?

      I’ll be taking the V2 of Ulanzi’s cooling fan aswell just for the sake of peace of mind when working with a client…From the videos I’ve seen it seems to be working just fine

      I dual recorded in all the modes that allowed it. So 4k24 and 4k60. ProRes can’t be dual recorded, so that was just to the cfexpress type b card
