My tint with Xpel XR was $450 for sides and rear window + $160 for windshield. As for the PPF, it was $2,200 full front end with Xpel Ultimate Plus and $2,500 Xpel Ultimate fusion with Ceramic coated on top layer.

how long did it take to tint your tesla
When does the US change to move to C instead of F :)
i want a model y but its really hindering me buying because of the colored rear doors. i want my tint on the doors to match in shade and i dont want it that dark. i think i have to pass because of that now. sucks
The tint shade (5% or 70%) are the same for heat reduction? As long as we get the film, then it will reduce the heat and it doesn't matter if its 5% 25% or 70% right?
It still would change the heat reduction as less light coming in would also reduce overall heat in the interior.

Yes, I picked the lightest shade I believe it was 70%.

They probably put more time and effort into your car or other customer’s car because they don’t have spend time talking and dealing with me while I was filming.😬

Is this all compliant with CA vehicle code for permissible tints? Front sides back
windshield is illegal no matter what percentage but 70% is completely clear so a cop could never see. back seats can be tinted as low as limo and driver passenger can’t go below 35% i believe. but i’ve gotten all limo except on the windshield before and never got a ticket

Hi Al, no issue with windshield tint so far 70% is basically almost clear and you won’t even notice that there is a tint there. Ge installed on my model 3 too and it’s been 18 months with no issue at all. I wouldn’t take my next car to anywhere else but SoCal Tint Shop.🤘

Rarely, because it might be too dark for most people especially at night.

Did you have to clean the windows before you got there? Or do they clean them before they install the tint?
They will clean them before they tint your windows. It’s part of the preparation process.

They used Xpel. They are authorized Xpel installer.

I'm wondering this too. @@jimmynguyen150 I got a Model Y Performance recently, and I'm wondering if the prices quoted are for XR Plus or regular XR.
70 VLT over 20 VLT comes out to about 14 VLT. Don't tell me it won't change anything. I think you're wrong.
With all the time and effort involved that had to be $1000 or more.

What’s the maintenance on these tinted windows?? Cleaning etc??
Since they apply and install on the inside of the windows, you just clean as normal and nothing special.

@@dadstoyscars no chemicals whatsoever or it will affect the tint probably?? What we’re those tint numbers for each window?? You didn’t get the roof done at all??
@@XX-166 you can clean it just like normal tint. I usually don’t clean on the inside of the window that often. If I do I just use water and towel.
As for the percentage on the tint, I picked 70% for windshield, 35% for front sides, 70% for rear sides, and 70% for rear window.
@@XX-166 You would want to avoid ammonia (e.g. don't use Windex). There are many tint-safe glass cleaners. My favorite is Stoner Invisible Glass.
So $610 for the XR plus?
