    Hope you guys enjoy! For the X I went with Xpel Prime XR PLUS
    70% Windshield
    15% Front
    5% Rears
    70% Falcon Wing Window
    35% Rear Hatch!
    No issues! Love it!
    Just wanted to also update the price! Just know it's changing but for me, for the X the average cost was around $700. To tint the windshield however was the MOST expensive as it took a lot of time. It’s also not included in the price. Can be over 1k for sure if you tint everything and the model x windshield!

    Please test the heat rejection of the stock rear windows of your Tesla Model Y before installing additional tints (if you are tinting only to keep your car cool). Unlike other cars, Tesla Y rear windows are not just dyed, they actually provide decent heat rejection.

    • @rahularora9868
      @rahularora9868 Год назад +1

      Has anyone tested this with a broad UV spectrometer? I know Tesla claims all of their glass blocks 99% of UV but does that include UVA or just UVB? We have a Shanghai Model Y and considering just doing the front side windows with 30% because we don't like it dark but also want the benefits.

    There’s a video showing factory rear windows in the new model X does reject heat. When I did an unscientific test on my 2023 model X using my arm, there’s a big difference in heat between the front and rear windows. Someone should show a test using an IR meter. I think tint shops are afraid to admit these newer cars do not only have privacy glass but it also rejects heat

The gentleman from the Tesla mobile service informed me that since I tinted my window through a 3rd party provider, Tesla voided the warranty for all the doors with the 3rd party tint which I tinted all four door windows. I asked him if Tesla tints windows after delivery. He said no. I am also in California, and know California allows drivers to tint their windows with grading limitations. Depends what you’re trying to use the warranty on but the y was tinted and the x and they didn’t say anything even when the hv died! Full colored ppf is more expensive and can start at 8k here

    14:37 - How does that math lead to an 8% tint if you tint 15% on top of the factory 20%? Don’t you just multiply percentages? If so, 15% * 20% = 3% 🧐
