Wesley, I just adore your work...your timbre, your comedy, your projects are just awesome. I am a 45 year old English carpenter living in New Zealand and I am permanently waiting with baited breath for your new projects! Love your work Sir.
As a plumber I can tell you that when working with pvc, using purple primer before using pvc cement can make a whole world of a difference. (You do want to use the purple primer it's a lot better than those cheap clear primers or those primer cement in one cans) 🖒😄
I like your videos for a number of reasons. Your diverse projects and the craftsmanship that goes into building them, as well as your sense of humor. Please don't give into the trolls, it just changes the tone of your videos.
Long ago, I worked for a scenery & electronics shop in Hollywood, building sets for game shows. The toughest part (emotionally) of any build was taking the final beautiful scenic pieces and drilling holes into them for the neon standoffs. Thank you for sparing me/us from seeing that painful footage!
Such a beautiful project Wesley! Not only is it an interesting and challenging build. it is reviving an art form grounded in the 30's - 50's era. What brings me joy, it's that there are still clients ordering this kind of bespoke items today. And the trolling during the video in on point. Liked and subscribed.
I'm amazed by your diverse mastery of skills. I love your work and your presentation in these videos. You're so funny. I laughed abruptly when you croaked CANCER! and made my dog bark. Great work and thanks for the channel!
This is just gorgeous! You have an amazing affinity for the Art Deco esthetic which you have shown in previous projects. I really love watching you create. This made my day!
Love your videos!! It would be really interesting and something you don't see very often on RUclips to present how you quote and charge for this sort of work. That's always been a mystery for me and I'm sure many others
@@WesleyTreat He really doesn't do custom work though so it's more of for craft fairs and little things on the side. What you do is more what hasn't been shown
You’re editing style is totally unique and I dig it. Also, the nerd troll voice is a nice addition; I prefer Jimmy’s squeaky troll, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Thanks for the video. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that insane build, that thing is seriously impressive!!!!!
How does this man not have more subscribers? There's several other channels with weaker content raking in subs. RUclips's algorithm is doing the RUclips world a disservice by not promoting this channel more. Keep up the awesome content Wesley!
That thing is glorious! The only thing I think I would have added was four miniature spotlights on the top platform pointing at the ball to illuminate it too. :-)
Wesley, you are the man. I love your smart enthusiastic, always entertaining as well as teaching. I love your wit, and videography is masterful. Please keep sharing your videos with all of us. Felix
You could dodge the tapping stage by using taptite screws, they're trilobed screws that cut their own thread, eg 4mm. And it's a proper thread not just a self tapper. As a bonus feature, they're pretty useful for tapping threads in really awkward spots.
This looks super cool. Great build and great video! I love the scale of this. Though I suppose that's standard fare with typical signage protects. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video, so entertaining. The project turned out beautiful as always. Ah expanded PVC sheets reminds me of the Ben Heck projects. : ) Mahalo for sharing!
Your videos are incredible and your brain works so much better than mine! I loved the reveal to the trolls you were wearing a respirator! So funny! I wonder if any of them noticed you were using particulate cartridges and not gas/vapor? Hehe!
I think you and Diresta should do a colab together and do a video to wind up all the troll's out there that would be funny as hell i recon. Thanks for the upload fab video as always
@@WesleyTreat I'm sure your viewers would happily crowdfund the OEM part to return it to it's former glory. I'll do my bit and head over to patreon right now :-)
Wesley, you are easily one of my favourite RUclips makers. I love watching your videos and this one is no exception! Watching this really makes me want to get back to my tools in the States and fire up my CNC again! I need to ask, where did you get the sheet PVC? The material gave me lots of ideas for projects!
Thanks! I get it at E&T Plastics in Dallas. Just call around to your local plastics suppliers. And compare prices. Two places here carry it, but E&T is cheaper. 👍
Great video and build, I really enjoyed it. I really liked how the foam PVC came out, I was wondering why you chose it over something like a polyurethane tooling foam? I use the PU foam a lot in my model making work, CNC machining and woodwork machinery, but am looking at alternatives in fabrication. What brought you to using the PVC?
Thanks! PVC is what I'm used to, and it's readily available where I am. It's my outdoor replacement for plywood. I plan to try HDU for other sign work in the future, but I don't know how well it would work structurally.
Hey! That looks like a toilet flo...ah. 😁 I had no idea of the scale when I first saw the photo you posted. Wow. That is one fabulous beast! Darned cool.
I admire so many of you online makers dealing with all these comments. I just don't get it. People must not do anything. It's their own responsibility if they work on a specific way. Great project btw 👍🏻👍🏻
One of your best looking yet! One quick question... How many hours? Design and build? Just curious. One could be fooled into thinking you did it in a day...
Love these videos .It's watching an imaginative artist, with a sense of humour at work. If I had any money YOU would be the one who I became a patreon too.
Wes, I'm such a fan. Your builds, your cinematography, and your personality are all fantastic. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe.
Thank you, P!
I call you P now.
Yeah what he said

With or without primer, it just sets up too quickly. There are other adhesives that are intended to work with PVC sheet, which I may try next time. 👍

Love this so much! Anyone else love seeing signage and commercial builds and figuring out how they make them?!
Finally, an appropriate time for using the word agog.

Love art-deco, this is gorgeous, well done!
Wow, it's a lot bigger than what it looks like on the thumbnail. Love the art deco styling.
We loved this video. From the thumbnail we thought the spire was only a foot tall. It's huge! Beautiful too.
It's always a "Treat" to watch a video from Wesley. 😁
I love your art deco designs.

You give off a great Wallace vibe in this video.

Great work and thanks for the channel!
I’m about 4 years late to this video, but your stuff, especially your neons remind me so heavily of futurama and fall out, I love it
truly gorgeous.💯👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
@6:49, I was waiting for you to call it Aluminum "Angle IRON" - LOL.😄
Well that looks like something that wouldn't look out of place in the film Metropolis. That's incredible mate, well done.
Brilliant workmanship and imagination. You, sir, are an artist and craftsman to be reckoned with.
My 'Treat' is when you upload a video, they make my day. Yet another awesome project.
Absolutely wonderful!!!
Phenomenal build and great video, Wes!
Thanks, Cam!
As always, great video and an amazing build. But HOLY CRAP! This thing is going to last for seven hundred years!

All the skills for all the thrills! Amazing video Wes! Thanks!
Beautiful craftsmanship, not to mention the professional level of video/editing work.

Deeply satisfying.
I enjoy all of your projects, but this is my absolute favorite . Thanks for sharing your videos.
Great project.
Really nice editing.
Thanks for taking the time to make this an enjoyable, relaxing view.
That thing is awesome man!
I love Art Deco stuff and that is absolutely fantastic.
Absolutely Love It!! Thanks for sharing it.
Brilliant. I love how you wrapped that aluminum around the circle, with the combination of adhesive, clamps and screws.
Magnifique !!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Loving the table saw sonic upgrade. Subscribed 👍
Gorgeous! I love the use of real neon. Probably my favorite project of yours since the wacky tobacky dispenser.
Looks amazing, awesome work! 😍👌🏻👍🏻👊🏻

Beautiful Art Deco!
Turned out awesome dude🤘
That is absolutely beautiful! So many questions though.
Beautiful!
Amazing how you do something that isn't "up to speed" with the trolls and they attack you for it. Great work, and excellent presentation!!
Just fantastic.
Very nicely done Wes it looks great.
So beautiful!
Another great project. Thank you for sharing!
Cool design, also sounds like you need an overly complicated coffee pot in your shop. You know something with bells and whistles and lights lol

We love it!

You should have a coffee maker in the shop!!!!!!
Awesome job!! So creative !

I use self-tapping screws sometimes, but these were little #4 screws going into 1/8" thick material and I didn't want to risk any of them breaking. 👍
Your work, both the builds and the editing, are so amazing! :) Huge fan!
!5:33 at least that particular part is red, so no need to hide the blood. Entertaining as always!

Damn, that’s nice. I cut some sheets of that PVC in my shop a few years back. Still finding chips stuck to things.
Cooooooool 👍👍👍👍👍
Fur! Possibly.
I like your space cone, Mr Treat, suitably tapery.
That's an inspiring build 👍 😁
Art Deco? I'm all eyes!
Fantastic project! Turned out great! What would you suggest if someone wanted to add up-lighting to the spire?
I'd search for some kind of mini LED spot and embed them in the base. 👍
Wow is that real blown glass?
very nice
HA HA, absolutely loved it. Coolest project. God, I wish you did more vids.

Albertdog101 please someone blow into the end of a USB cable and cut to a video of a cnc machine making something impossible.
U r genius✌️😎
Uhhh, that is genius! @13:32
Yeah, that stuff makes some super fine dust. 👍
What happened to the Jetsons style table saw sound?
Had to replace a part with an aftermarket version.

I would be thrilled if he did an art nouveau piece. That's my jam. Probably too natural for him, though.
Awesome 👌🏻
Until the very end, I thought this was going to be something chintzy.
Then I saw the finished product, and said "Wow"!
Good job.

ok, that is very cool.🤠
How do you price out these projects for your clients ? since they're all amazing, unique and one of a kind.
You made me rewind to read "Social Isolation Champion Since 1989"
Really i liked watched your vedios since so many days you were not posted now you are posting i like it
