- Legendary guitar virtuoso Pierre Bensusan performs "Fils de la Rose", the first track from his 2020 album Azwan. This was filmed in the Old San Ysidro Church in Corrales, New Mexico during the production of our short film "Pierre Bensusan: The Last of the Troubadour Shepherds". The film will premiere on AyurPrana+ this February 23rd!

Pierre is simply the most musical steel string guitarist on the planet today. His music changed my life as a guitarist and this is not hyperbole. My greatest personal triumph as a guitarist was and is the space I shared in a DADGAD songbook with him in 2000. Pierre is simply the best of the best. Phil Keaggy is brilliant and makes me laugh- but only PIerre can make me cry . . .
A friend took me to see Phil in the early 90's. It was at a church. While im not a christian Phil had that entire church in tears. But yes, I agree with you 100% on Pierre, been a fan of his since I saw him playing mandolin with Bill Keith.
