- The French master at the iconic Santa Monica, Ca. guitar shop where he first performed in 1979. Here is his show from May, 4, 2024. My first effort documenting Pierre was during a show I produced with Michael Hedges in 1984. All four opportunities I've had to document him are on this channel. Enjoy!
I met Pierre when I was around 11 or 12 years of age, when he came to play my little town (Ashington Folk Club, in Northumberland UK)-back in the day (late 80s early 90s). I'd only just started playing and he was the first person on earth to tell me about DADGAD tuning, it was a revelation :) I've followed and have been inspired by his playing and 'musical way' ever since. A real understated master. Thank you for posting, this is wonderful!
Having followed Pierre for many years, his willingness to stretch-out and innovate continually amazes - even connection issues sound a part of his improvisations 👏👏👏

Hey Randy. Can't believe you were in town, Pierre was in town, and worst of all, I DIDN'T KNOW IT!!! Would've been great to see you again and Pierre again at McCabe's. Next time, let me know you are in town!
