Spent the last few weeks slowly polishing up 5 Kirbys, and got it down to about 3 hours a machine: Flitz and 0000 steel wool for bad corrosion Fine stitched buffing wheel with brown Tripoli compound on the buffer Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish by hand
Nice , love before and after . Looking back on what I bought to what they look like now. It’s quite shocking how bad people let these amazing machines get . Share some photos in my Facebook group . Thanks again for comment and support of my channel really appreciated 👍👍
This part of refurbishment is my favourite. Love to see the steps of polish the aluminium to let it shine. I don’t have a buffer. I use my drill to buffer and polish.
Cheers buddy , all good 2nd grandchild on the way . I want to be hanging a RUclips play button on my wall next year hopefully to make my family proud of me .
Another informative helpful video Dean. I will use it to clean up my Kirbys.. They need to shine again. I recall from a previous video awhile ago you using the Silvo and Meguiars metal polish. Those are the next steps for polishing after the buffing I presume. Correct? Thks.
Hi I was wondering if you might consider a tutorial on how to do the tech drive belt and how often it should be replaced? Apologies if you did a video, I haven't been able to locate it. Thank you ever so much.
I haven’t done one specifically fir the belt , but I do show how to remove snd refit tech drive . The belts don’t tend to wear as they have no tensioner on them. My G4 had original tech drive belt on for over 20yrs. I only changed it as I replaced while tech drive . Hope this helps , here’s a link to the video . ruclips.net/video/UVyOhPeyLSg/видео.html
Hi! I’m not sure how to message you, great results btw, I have a question about my ultimate g diamond edition. I’m reading on the shampoo system tray “carpet shampoo system/ fluffer” how do I use this system to fluff my carpet?
I’m in the process of editing a demo , should be uploaded this wknd. Make sure to ding 🛎 not to miss new uploads . You can also email me from my main channel page . It has contact email Thankyou for support of my channel really appreciated
I there a was to remove the scratches from the plastic part and buff them up? I have my moms old Kirby that stood in storage for a long time and now it has some stains that look like water stains? I cant seem how to get them off? I have tried scrubbing them off but the doesn't help. Advice would be appreciate ;)
Every bit of knowledge for maintaining a KIRBY is good knowledge to have. Thanks K.E..

@@KirbyEnthusiast sure ;)
what might be easier is wet sand the individual parts in a 5 gallon bucket, full of water, wet sand each part submersed or semi submersed
Found works welll with the detergent as acts like a lubricant while sanding 👍👍
