@@angelicamcd1165 there are many songs I much prefer V's than the original. I love rock, so that couldd be my bias, but a song like "can you hear my heart" is one example that I much, much prefer Vs.

I am so glad Podsiadło is finally getting international recognition. Dawid was well known in Poland for quite some time and well deserved I might say.
Heard of him the first time when Cyberpunk released the song, I checked out his other songs, and I have to agree, his voice is quite exceptional. Good songs.

Two things I'd never expect in my life, that Dawid Podsiadło would be listened around the whole world when previously he has only had songs in Polish and that people would be making metal covers of his song
He made a few English versions of his songs that were previously only in Polish. Like Nieznajomy/Little Stranger.

Wonderful song. I like how big Podsiadło got, I listened to him years ago when he was doing covers of Eyes on Me(he is a huge fan of FInal Fantasy VIII) back when he was unknown.
If you think about it, "Let you down" is literally David's theme, though it is not stated by studio Trigger and not mentioned anywhere. The lyrics are his final message to Lucy.
I think this song is the last message David leaves for Lucy, as you say. But it's also quite impressive to hear as Lucy's message to David. In fact, she fought the city for his survival and she didn't even think about going back herself. But she was weak, so she couldn't catch David. Her dream was to go to the moon, but her last trip was not what she wanted. Because now it's David's dream, not hers. The scene of her howling in the ending credits and the lyrics 'Oh my love' match the part where she misses David so much. When you see that all of this happened with her wrong decisions, it's also a match to let 'him' down. Likewise, "Little Stranger" sung by Dawid was a song about what Lucy thought of David. It's also very touching to think that this song is a message that Lucy couldn't send to David.
Eh, I always thought his theme was “Who’s ready for tomorrow.”

That’s how I see it too. It’s the perfect encapsulation of David’s mental state in the final episode. He knows he’s fucked, but he doesn’t care as long as he saves Lucy.
