Watched every 911 Turbo S video you put out, and Ive got to say it’s the best on the platform. One hell of a car, and one amazing channel. Congrats on getting more and more expensive and special cars! You deserve it and always make the reviews of them top notch.
If I spent that kind of money though, I’d like people to know. The turbo s is a car that I just look over in public. A GT3 has a wing and is more flashy. I’d either want that or a supercar. A Ferrari would be awesome. Maybe a 720s(even though it’s much more expensive)
@@Stevie4171 70% of the population looks past most normal looking 911’s. I saw a carrera GTS the other day and took a picture, but I’m a car dude. Most people generalize Porsche as expensive but, ehh. A supercar is a looker. It grabs everyone’s eyes. A Porsche looks similar enough when they’re a 60k used one to a 300k turbo s. Plus you can buy Porsches for dead cheap, you can’t buy a McLaren for cheap.
@@Dyltheboy That's the thing with Turbo's. They are incredibly discreet, and only those in the know would know. The buyers don't want to peacock. That being said, a turbo S blacked out or in carmine red or gentian blue will DEFINITELY catch people's eye. At the end of the day, it's an incredible feat of engineering and one of the best cars on the market. Reliable, amazing driving experience, and understatedness. Yes it's not as catchy as Mclarens or Ferraris, but buyers who wanted that extra flash would get the GT3 as you said.
This is one of the best povs I’ve ever seen for a porsche 911 turbo s, I’m surprised at how much this video can convey the feel of driving the 911, i can tell it’s planted and you are in control at all times, and the speed is unbelievable, as a Porsche enthusiast, you have earned yourself a sub, keep making more amazing content.
Incredible car, I love everything about it including the paint/interior spec. Having said that, if I were in the market and the 911 turbo S were too much of a financial stretch, I think the Cayman GTS 4.0 would give about 90% of the driving enjoyment..with lower cost of entry, ownership and better long term reliability with a naturally aspirated boxer engine. But if the Turbo S were in reach, it would be really hard not to stretch. I really love these things much more than Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, or anything else with the "supercar" look. The 911 is subtle, but real car nerds know what it's all about.
Cayman GTS is much more attractive for me. It’s lighter, probably more enjoyable on a daily basis, not too powerful like this car and the big bonus: it comes with a manual gearbox. Honestly I would choose it every day over the 911 Turbo even if they were at the same price.
Ah yes - the car that started it all for me. A cool neighbor let me sit in his 996 (just a C4S, though) when I was like 5 years old and the rest is history! Love how Porsche knows exactly what the 911 is and evolves it so carefully to stay true to that mission, even if that means going against the grain of the rest of the market. The kinda approach that keeps me coming back to it even 15 years after that first encounter. Just the fact that you can still get a manual on the S versions in 2021 is something to celebrate. That’d be my personal choice in the 911 lineup, but these Turbos are wicked, for sure.

I loved the way that you put it "pucker factor". It has always been fun for me to see a passenger's hand grab the door handle with just a little tap of the throttle. And I've never even had the opportunity to drive a 911 turbo let alone a turbo S. 😏

When I was a kid, I grew up not having anything, we couldn't afford it. We had just moved to the country. My parents wanted the best for me so they put me in a middle and high school that were highly rated but happened to be in an affluent community. My dad was driving me to school one day in our 1989 toyota corolla (this was in the early 2000s, so an old car already), and whizzing by was this black porsche turbo (993 or 996, can't remember). I saw the spoiler go up as he braked on the downhill and I was just amazed and saying wow and making all these noises as a 10/11 year old would do. I think my dad felt a little bit disappointed that he couldn't provide that for me, not that I was expecting him to, but he just turns to me and says "one day you'll own that car". The only ever material thing I ever wanted was this, just so I could have my dad with me and we could whizz along.
Porsche US has said this a while ago: they've run an inquiry about their clientele's preferred mobile devices. It was 93% iPhones in the US. Seeing this result they've decided not to make android auto available in the US.

Great Video, I’ve been watching a few lately about this 992 but this video sold me on the Turbo S. You can feel the torque from watching this and those tight curves too. I have that Burmester in my CLS, amazing sound system. I can’t wait to get a hold of one of these 911s.

As much as I love the incredible speed and power of the Turbo S, I would get a GT3 any day over it. That N/A sound and manual trans + I prefer the look of the GT3. Hope you can review the 992 GT3 soon.
Gt3 is more of a fun car for the weekends. If used as a daily, it’s going to be painful. The turbo s is the opposite, and with a family it’s significantly more accessible.
A great car but for pure visceral experience, I'd say the F8 has it beat!!! No matter how great it is, there is only so much you can get out of a flat 6!!!

How do you deal with very blinding fog light from some cars on the road? I know some drivers can't control the intensity of it, but how do you manage it so it won't hinder your vision?
This thing is basically a hypercary in terms of the performance, as it is faster than almost all road legal ferraris both on track and in a straight line. Though I think only something like a GT3 RS would actually be a full on hypercar.
It kind of should rival hypercars for that price. 300K for a 911 is crazy. A 911 Turbo S started at 130K not that long ago, you could buy another 911 Carrera with the difference of how much they hiked the MSRP.
@@speedygold6663 But it's still a 911 at the end of the day...A badass fast a $%^& 911...but a 911 with a 6 banger for better or worse. 300K for something that on paper competes for performance with hypercars is pretty bad ass. But you could also look at it as you could get a still rather nice 911 for around 100K, or 1/3rd the price and practically end up with 8/10th- 9/10ths of the experience. Granted I can't practically afford a 300K car unless I really wanted to YOLO and not care about my life 10-15 years down the road. Maybe I would have a different opinion if I wan fortunate enough to just have 300K sitting around. But in the hypothetical that I did and was spending that kind of money; I personally would want that 300K car to have some more drama and be a bit more "Special" if that makes sense.

The 911’s are whales 🐳 too big now with too many electronics. Get a Porsche Cayman GTS it’s the real Porsche ethos.

The problem with the GT3 is it’s less tolerable as a daily driver. Much stiffer and louder, but still an amazing offering.
Gt3 is more of a fun car for the weekends. If used as a daily, it’s going to be painful. The turbo s is the opposite, and with a family it’s significantly more accessible.
I say GT2 or this turbo s GT3 is great for a track car tho how would be happy to be able to afford any of them though 😂😂
