I thought I was the only one who accelerates faster on the on ramp where I need to slow down when I get to the highway to match the traffic, but I see I am not the only one
Worth it, for the overall quality and attention to detail? maybe. Performance bargain? Definitely not 😂 I loved how his response was "sure" and added no other words
If you put into perspective that you have to spend over $400K to find a car as fast as the Turbo S then it is a performance bargain, just on a different scale then normal cars
I’d always take the driving involvement of a manual GT3 over a Turbo/Turbo S, but it’s insane how accomplished these models are. Insanely quick acceleration, incredible handling, and comfortable enough to drive on a daily basis. It’s an incredible car.
I can't get that car out of my head. I love that it's absolutely bonkers in performance but comes in a discreet package, barely distinguishable from a regular 911.
The 911 Turbo has become the ultimate bargain supercar, 200k is not cheap, but compared to the competition, and how this car can destroy them, it's a steal.
I am in my 17th porsche (Taycan 4s) and have had 3 turbo S. Great cars. The problem is when you do daily driving or just crowed x-ways --like take 44 magnum revolver to gun range and shoot paper targets at 10 yards. If you have enforced speeding like around my city, you are paying a lot for pride of ownership. Still feels great to own one even if you almost never let it out.
Anyone else catch that the digital speedometer is in metric mode? When he is behind traffic on a highway outside of Detroit, the speedometer was registering 85- 90. Then I started paying attention to the centerlines as well. Even at 90 MPH, the centerlines are whizzing by. At 90 KPH, he was driving at just over 55 MPH. So why all of the baloney with blurring the speedometer?
Even in the Carrera S from 1st to 3rd the gears just go by so quickly. I like a good manual, but I think I would be at my limit to handle that power efficiently with my own hability, let alone a Turbo S.
Thetopher Is it possible you can do. 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S? Or GTS? Because they get a infotainment system refresh/update updated suspension, new Transmission cooler, and I think Porsche dash-cam system all around which I believe is a new feature. If you could get your hands on the 2022 that would be epic 👌
I wonder how well these cars hold up over the years? New this car is $200k, in 5 years one could probably buy it for around $130/140,000, do they hold up after say 10 years? When the remaining value of the vehicle would be something in the ballpark of $50-60,000
226,000? Performance bargain? Those are race cars u'll never be able to squeeze its potential out on the streets. Plus on the track, who ever is going to risk damaging parts? I drove the last gen as a xtreme experience in Homstead Mia, I think its a total waste of money.
"Really a performance bargain though"
"sure"
I had to replay that part 5 times. Golden moment haha
They say sure when they disagree with each other 😂
lmao laughed at that too.
laughed so hard
Haha. The Turbo S is no doubt a nuts performance car, but I wouldn't exactly call it a performace "bargain".
Man this dude pushes it on those turns 😂
“Really a performance bargain “
Him:
“Sure”
*laughs in M5 Competiipn
Thts the fun part
Thats how you drive a porsche
@@roibryan6379Porsche will smoke it any way you want 😂😂😂
Pinnacle of German engineering
@@stanvanillo9831 any kind of 911
That would be the tiger tank
“Only 20 grand over base”
My car was 20 grand off the lot 😖
20 grand in options on a $200k car isn't that much. That's like 4 grand in options on a $40k car
mine its not even worth 10k lol
@@theongothic182 wait, you guys have a car? 🙄
I paid $998K for my Roys Roys and my Lombargine Machine combined
My car is worth around 11k and I love the fact that I don't have to worry about someone stealing it or damaging it.
Such a beautiful car. This car is just German automotive perfection.
I’ve been saying that every time I see my friend who is also into Porsches 😂
This is just one flavor. Mercedes, Audi, BMW and even some high end VW also offer high quality.
I thought I was the only one who accelerates faster on the on ramp where I need to slow down when I get to the highway to match the traffic, but I see I am not the only one
it sucks when the ramp has traffic though, especially when some dummy is trying to merge at half the speed limit.
@@southpaw117 yea, I hate that
Me too, my favorite thing about tophers pov drives is I get to see another human that drives like I do on public streets 😂
@@southpaw117 I hate it too but I have a 2004 Honda Civic lx it takes me a coo min to get to 65mph 😭🤣
That’s what the ramp is supposed to be used for, why else you think they are that long?
Dude really called a $220k Porsche a “performance bargain” 😭😂 amazing car nonetheless.
Worth it, for the overall quality and attention to detail? maybe. Performance bargain? Definitely not 😂 I loved how his response was "sure" and added no other words
between this and a 720s its a pretty good deal
If you put into perspective that you have to spend over $400K to find a car as fast as the Turbo S then it is a performance bargain, just on a different scale then normal cars
@@SteveGOML After electrics become commonplace, this performance will be had for less than 100k
Don't worry all these youtubers sound like Porsche salesman
Yeah! You blurred the speed marker. This car is made to push the limits!😎
Not the one on the left though :)
that's what I was thinking lol I've never seen him do that until this video. Must have been fun :P
Well, it looks like he wasn't faster than 70mph 🙂🙃
Dark reddish interior and black steering wheel matched pretty well. Didn’t see a video were topher blurred a part haha! You enjoyed it pretty well!
GT500 video he did too.
That turn at 2:40 kills me every time with these high end cars. Great video!
I love how he blurred out the speedometer whenever he went over the speed limit 😹
Yes, but the speedometer on the left was left clear 😂, little mistake I guess.
I love that he blurs his speed gauge
I was gonna comment that too hahaha
Why does he do that?
@@BeOz3 30 secs ago
@@BeOz3 Because it's illegal to go over the speed limit. Especially at that high of a number.
Do you think he realizes that there’s an actual speedometer to the left of the tachometer? Probably should have blurred that out too.
Ooo nice, been waiting for either you or tedward to get a turbo s
Haha, it's a bit like the 2.0 self-priming engine of Chuangshi Lantian
I’d always take the driving involvement of a manual GT3 over a Turbo/Turbo S, but it’s insane how accomplished these models are. Insanely quick acceleration, incredible handling, and comfortable enough to drive on a daily basis. It’s an incredible car.
Interesting opinion 🤔
I would too, but I really like to have a moonroof. I'd be happy with a GTS, S, or T, manual with the glass moonroof.
My genuine reaction to that launch, “ holy shit!” 😳😂
You know The Topher likes a car when he gives that "laugh" after accelerating.....The "0-60-blurred" launch.....OMG!
I was waiting for you to drive a 911 turbo s for a long time. One of my favourite supercar!
I can't get that car out of my head. I love that it's absolutely bonkers in performance but comes in a discreet package, barely distinguishable from a regular 911.
A grocery getter Tesla smokes it easily.
This is definitely gonna be my first super car
Stunning! I listened with my headphones and get a great impression of driving this beautiful beast. Thank you!
Topher your videos are just consistently good and informative. Greatly appreciate the hard work!

lol
Is that red Civic hatch up for review next? Love your videos!
Civic videos are up next week!
Thank you Charlie for bringing these wonderful cars and thank you Topher for sharing the experience. Hope to see a gt3 in this channel soon haha
car has such good grip u can literally hear the road getting eaten up by the tires below 3:54 - impressive!
Idk how it gets any better than this
Lol, blurs the speed
You know it's gonna be good when the speedo is blurred out 2 minutes in
yea crazy he hit 100 mph that quick
yes blur that speedo meter when i can clearly see the other speedometr gauge about to it 100mph
Videos are not truly representative of how beautiful Porsche interiors are
I've always preferred the look of the Turbo S over the GT3/GT2 variants.
Lotus Emira reminds me of the good old porsche. The package and pricing are so enticing.
Even on a Porsche 911 Turbo S video, people still get excited about a Civic (myself included). Funny how that works!
Great cars come in different sizes and prices!
Great cars come in different sizes and prices!
man ive been waiting for something like this from you
2:20 might want to blur the speedo on the left too unless its something else
This dude takes both hands off the wheel A LOT!
This spec is top-notch
Beautiful, but I'd just get a well optioned S. If I owned this one, my license would be revoked by the time I got it home from the dealership
Im digging the true first drive experience in this video
That steering wheel is beautiful
We just gonna ignore the civic hatchback in the beginning?
Amazing piece of engineering. Porsche are one of if not, the best car manufacturer!
Real beauty. Dream car for a lot of people
