Good morning that is a few really lovely small independent hotels in St Chad's Rd put a lot of the big hotels 2 shame. In my life I have stayed all over Blackpool big and small I was really impressed with those 2 small hotels. Thanx for that. Take care
We’ve just recently stayed at st chads road at the Blackpool lodge which was really lovely and clean the owners Andy and Jan we’re really friendly and welcoming the breakfast set you up for the day we liked it that much were coming back next month.
Stayed at The Strathdon for the last 5 visits, the last one 3 weeks ago. Iain and Veronica are fab hosts. Beautifully clean bedding and rooms and the breakfast is very tasty. Paid parking is available at the bottom of the street but is pricey, but if you are lucky enough to get a spot in the street, it's free and safe.
Hi Jane thank you for your amazing video theres some lovely hotels down that road its always a good idea to look down the back streets as you can always find a gem or two have a lovely day xx
Loved this video Jane, we normally stay at Royal Carlton just next to St Chad's but because of C-vid etc haven't been for a couple of years but really miss this part of Blackpool and can't wait to get back. Thank you. 🙋
aww gutted you didnt stop at the jesmond dene as my mum and late dad owned it from 1987 until 1991 we have some great memories working on st chads road
Good to see the sunshine on a dismal, rainy Autumn day in my neck of the woods. Lovely welcoming people and splendid choices of bright, individual places to stay each with their own character. I am using the mirror plaque "friendship" message for my calligraphy practice today. The creative side of me cannot begin to imagine how many hours of work went into the crochetted wall hanging! The neighbouring hotels must be so happy to see the triumphant resurgence of the BellEva from boarded up despond to a bright new beginning. Best wishes to the owners and all the people featured in this vlog. Shall we BATs see the walls of the Rabbit Patch office covered with pink floral effulgence after Chrissie has had everywhere else at Rabbit Towers decorated with it? Only time will tell - maybe the next cake crawl shall be held at B&Q cafe before the great wallpaper search? It would make for a different kind of VFC shopping haul!
Oh how it’s changed one way Rd chippy on corner, winter use to live around the corner at Seagull flats 303 Promenade now its part of the Lynden Hotel. Summer lived worked at Pontins now also closed. A video of that area now it’s been developed would be interesting. Once Army base then taken over by Fred Pontins now housing. Thanks Jane nice to know were you can stay and the people seemed lovely too.
Stayed at the Danum several times as a teenager,Osborne House once and my Mum and Dad had their last holiday together in a hotel in St Chad's Road we loves it there.
Really enjoyed having a look around these bright, beautiful and cheery guest houses after being quite ill for a while but hopefully on the mend now it really cheered me up so thank you, would choose these independent guest houses over the large hotels any day as they greet you with a smile and make you feel so welcome. Those guest houses looked absolutely lovely, thanks again.
When I was little we use to stay at number one St Chads Road called the Marina Hotel, lovely couple Mr and Mrs Belshaw, I loved hitting the gong for meal time.
I think small independent run hotels are always much nicer than a big chain they are always so welcoming I suppose because they have a vested interest and want you to come back id always support smaller places they work so hard to make your stay enjoyable
That’s a lovely street Jane, & i loved the inside of the Belleva it was gorgeous! The others were lovely too very clean looking, we stop at Alexandra St which i think is the next street down, that was handy for St Chads tram stop too, go back for a nosey in the rooms lol what was the last ones name again? 🙈🤣
Morning Jane, i love the opening shot that beautiful "big sky" can i suggest you pop up north to Gynn Square there are some lovely holiday apartments on Wilshaw rd, Holmfield rd and dotted around the 2 parks, not to mention loads of cheap parking, a great pub (The Gynn) all within 10 mins walk of central and of course the great views up by the cabin lift
Lovely hotels, friendly locals, near the beach - perfect! Unfortunately for me, parking would be a huge issue being a wheelchair user. Although I can walk with a prosthesis, I can't go far. Once I can I'll certainly consider this part of Blackpool xx
@@visitfyldecoast I will have to find out for next Summer. By then I should be able to walk further. I'll be practising distance on St. Annes beach 👍😁 I don't think legally anyone can reserve space as such on the public highway unless the Police and local authority are aware and the reasons why. Certainly something to look into though xx
Hey Jane great vlog ... Question for u if u do go back too st chads road Is there any chance you could video the rooms if there free too do so .am thinking of going too the arthington hotel please next September thanku Andy x
Hi Jane, pleas ewould you be so kind as to make a video on value for money parking in blackpool. We usually use the main car park at the side of coral island/behind sealife. I hear there are other car parks to use though. Thankyou in advance

My uncle owned a hotel on that road in the 90's I think it was Birch Villas but can't be sure. He was called Jeff Bull.
Thank you for the video.
You're welcome
Stayed at the Blackpool Lodge Late May bank holiday.
Nice place.

Howard’s car parks are usually cheaper, Adelaide Street is one and the other is just off Central Pier area. Big yellow sign.
Is there a video of Osborne Road
Not yet...
Is the Hopton hotel a good place to stay coming to Blackpool in December
Anyone?
Problem is parking in central Blackpool. Apart from that its Great
I actually use to own a guest house on this street
Firtree Guesthouse on the right hand side
