I love the town, every time I move away I want to come back.(Work), I like how during the evenings when the sun has gone to sleep how the streets are bustling with people. You can get lost in the crowds walking around the town. I like the lights, the casinos, the clubs, the bars and the general atmosphere of the place. I get it that the town isn't for everyone but it is the place I most want to be when I am not there.
I love Blackpool it’s my second favourite place to go for the summer holidays besides butlins at Bognor I love the restaurants there and the zoo Nickelodeon land and loads more.
My home town. I wish I still lived there. Like any town or city it has its rough areas but such a great place for kids to grow up with the beach, piers and arcades

The Big One shouldn't have been on the list because that's included in the Pleasure Beach. I think what you should have done is put Pleasure Beach at no.2 (seriously why was it at no.9?), and have Coral Island arcade at no.9.
These are the things I did while I was at Blackpool I went to the zoo The sea life The Blackpool pleasure beach I went to the park near the bar I went to the arcades I went to Blackpool tower I went to the caravan park Madden tusads Errr.,.Blackpool sandcastle sea life The ball room And the.....oh and the beach P.S at the park,I went with my dad my sister my mam and me of coure(my grandad and grandma was there as well) And my dad was at the table with my grandad and grandma and me my sis and mam were at the park and me and my mam needed the toilet so we went and while we were gone my sister got stung by a wasp,not one wasp but TWO WASPS on her knee and her head,so my grandma went to check on her she saw her in so much pain so she grabbed my sister and wen me and my sister were out of the toilet I saw her in pain and my mam was scared,worried and shocked I was worried as well and I was also crying as well so she rang her up to security and helped her out and while that was happening my grandad picked up my sisters jacked and saw two wasps o there so they stung him on his hand I didn't really care thoe because he was much mor worried about my sis then his hand right then,my dad and went to the bathroom checked for any more wasps on her jacket,but there wasnt any so then we all went home and I was shaking really badly because i didn't know what to do so my sister but her feet up and my mam helped her and there is lots more,but right knowing need to go and brush my teeth for swimming lessons tommorow and of course some stupid work anyway bye guys check you later and be careful that you dont get stung by a wasp in Blackpool if you go,anyways bye!!!

So have I - it was nothing compared to the 'Big Dipper' (which didn't have safety-bars) and even that was nothing compared to the 'Wild Mouse' (which I felt lucky to get off without breaking a limb, at least). There's nothing like those rides today, too dangerous.
Anyone who really cannot find anything enjoyable in Blackpool need to check themselves for a pulse! It may not be everyone's cup of tea but sooooo many English towns are the same ole boring ole same ole. There is no town in England like Blackpool for fun and it's great for kids. The reputation it has for being dangerous is absolutely ridiculous. Go to any big town (or small town) on a Friday or Saturday night when the pubs and clubs are kicking out the p*ssheads, it's the same everywhere and Lancashire people are as good as gold (I'm not from Lancs).

I'm from the area and so enjoy having a good laugh about the place - we Brits are the world leaders in self-deprecating humour and Blackpool is a gold-mine for such. So don't take criticism of the place ("often by the locals tbh") too seriously. I once met someone from Rochdale who told me that as a kid he used to holiday there and that it was a sh*thole. I replied, "I've never met anyone who has ever holidayed in Rochdale". 🤣 But you're right; the vast majority of people in the Fylde area are very decent people, a bit simple, but very decent. Also, I'm so thankful that I grew up there rather than some inner-city enviroment - I loved playing on the beach and in the woods as a child. And Morecambe Bay is one of the most stunning costal regions in England.

This video is a joke! The place is absolutely disgusting: horrible buildings along the promenade, revolting flashy lights and casinos, junk food shops everywhere. My girlfriend and I wanted to stop somewhere travelling from Scotland to Berkshire and we ended up here. We stayed just for an hour after spending half an hour just to find parking space. The city looks dodgy in every corner, you can really see the poverty and deprivation just looking at the people around. We were literally in shock to see such a shameful place.

Spent a weekend in Blackpool back in the late 90’s. Tracksuit pants and football shirts (puffer jacket optional) seemed to be the order of the day 😂
