Don't know why Kroeger hated this E.P so much, it's honestly some of their best work. A remaster could do wonders for it.
I love it, but it’s because they hadn’t found their full identity yet. You can still hear slightly heavier tones from their inspirations and the influence is clear. I think there is enough difference to make it clear that it is it’s own flavor, he shouldn’t hate it. I personally miss this kind of stuff, like bad...
The old Nickelback stuff is actually AMAZING! Wish they would re-record Hesher, I'd buy it.

Being able to do such a catchy and original song in your own first work is a rare art. Nickelback delivery always.

Good god this sucks. Not really by nickelback standards, but lord this is rough and underwhelming. When nickelback doesn’t want to acknowledge this record, there’s a problem.

This is what was popular back then. Once this music got out of date, nickelback changed their style. Oh and they’re on top of rock right now by the way. Look at the crowds they’re drawing in on almost a nightly basis
that's what happens when you try to recreate a genre for personal gain. Just being honest. Even their commercial success has more grace than this shit.
@@patrickcrain2448 That's assuming Nickelback has been a grifter band from the get-go, which is false. They started out in a garage like many bands back in the day and were huge fans of grunge at the time. But the studios wanted something new and fresh, as did listeners to music by the time the mid 00s rolled out. Hence their third studio album..
