Good album. Best in awhile but I was expecting more heavy songs like Silver Side Up or The State. Not half heavy half ballads: Still the best album since Dark Horse.

For me, "Burn it to the ground" is my favorite NB-Song. Second is Feed the Machine, third is Coin for the Ferryman, fourth is Edge of a Revolution and fith is Lullaby.

That's definitely one of their best but most of the tracks on Fortress and The Last Hero are my favorites.

It's like 3 years after the last album was released named No Fixed Address, it got rightly wave of critical reviews and it's worst album they've ever released, in my opinion, there are like two songs I'm playing till this day and that's poor...Nickelback, the Canadian Rock band...today is 14.6.2017 and I had the honor, to listen to that LP two days before release, that date is today, first it was planned on 9th of June, but you know musicians, they like to change plans, just before release and Chad with his crew were not an excuse, I was not angry, yet happy, they changed the track list and added another track...
I keep standing on the ground and no, didn't hit myself into head, when I'm saying, that this best album ever, if not best, one of the best of decade and half :)) excellent job Chad Kroeger, keep it up and the hate will dissapear forever ❤

Feed The Machine - Debut and first single on the album, caught me harder riff and overall composition, lyrics are talking about nowadays political situation in the world, Trump related, easy, but catchy, not the best and I'm not gonna feed the machine!

Coin For The Ferryman - Keeping the harder page of the album and this one has really something to give, catchy riff and embracing solo, lyrics are pure Nickelback, chorus is nice and the run up force you to sing it with Chad too (4,5/5)
Song On Fire - Beautiful and emotional ballad about making a love song, sparks are blasting out of letters

Hard, but not that hard, how can I describe, lyrics are funny and it is talking about spoiled children and these that get everything in their lap for basically doing nothing at all...can I visit your fucking paradise too? (3,5/5)
After The Rain - This really caught my balls, some people are not gonna agree, because it's another ballad, but I got goosebumps, kinda like Satellite (5/5)
For The River - Fuck yes! That's mine! Great riff, drums and really catchy chorus, more Hard Rockish than metal, yet one of the best from album, that guitar... (5/5)
Home - Starts fresh and slow, holding the greatness high and holds the tempo too, next gem of this album, half-ballad, hand on heart, this has soul...Where is my home? (5/5)
The Betrayal (Act III) - Starts acoustic and then it kicks your balls, face and ass, lyrics are gorgeous, riff, everything, best on this album, if I was able, I'll give it 6/5! Metallica and Pantera vibe...Dimebag would be proud, solo and outro eargasm (5/5)
Silent Majority - This one got me by it's lyrics, one of the "softer", but still really good, everything sits on place, getting Red groove, less repeating (4/5)
Everytime We're Together - Photograph 2.0, after first listen it felt weak, but more you listen, more it grows into you, like roots...Mama always told truth, so listen (4/5)
The Betrayal (Act I) - Excellent instrumental at the end, this could be rather intro, than outro, but the ACTS maybe have some sense, we'll see, maybe Deluxe (5/5)

I liked No Fixed Address. Especially the funk track, but that's one opinion. You don't like it that's cool, but it's not fair to claim it to be the worst. Such is a matter of opinion. Personally I feel The State was their worst, it was so early on and a lot of their sound was still being discovered.
Yui Shishido I think a lot of the early fans would agree that No Fixed Address was their worst and the State was one of their best. I guess it's a matter of opinion and taste. The State had a ton of hits on it and it was raw and real. To me Leader of Men and Old Enough have way more substance and are by far more original than most of the songs on No Fixed Address. Even Chad has said in an interview the band felt they were getting away from their roots and wanted to come back in this album. Well the State is their roots and what put them on the map. I think NB is very talented but on No Fixed Address they catered to the mainstream pop masses. That is not the original fan base or music of Nickelback. The State and the Long Road will probably always be my fave albums.
True, wait was Hold out your Hand on The State? I'm pretty sure I got it mixed up. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate their early work by any means, in fact I love them and No Fixed Address wasn't my favorite, but I loved the diversity of the album.
My perspectives are taken into a non-bias perspective. Looking at sound quality, musical complexity, vocal clarity, and instrumental balance.
If I was going solely on simply opinion I would say The State would by my forth favorite, Third is Silver Side Up, Three Sided Coin is second and Dark Horse is first (mainly because it was my first album I've ever gotten)
No Fixed Address would probably be at six by now. Of course with this album TSC is getting knocked down a few ranks.
Yui Shishido hold out your hand was on Curb their first album. That's probably the one you are referring to and I would agree with you there that they were still working out kinks and developing their sound.

Guys, this song is an absolutly masterpiece! Probably gonna play this at my funeral, after Knoking on Heavens Door. Is amazing as the whole album is. I've never understood the hate on these guys at all. I saw them in 2012 when they toured with Bush, Seether & My Darkest Days & then again in 2015 with The Pretty Reckless. Now for the third time I see them this Tuesday. I think these guys are actually getting better with each tour & this album just sounds amazing.
